Chapter 10 - I Bite (18+)

Chapter 10 – I Bite (18+)

It wasn't a fall.

It wasn't even sudden.

It was smooth.

Effortless.

Like gravity had just rewritten its laws to serve him.

Naomi landed atop his chest, caught by strong arms and warm skin. His body was heat and muscle beneath her, solid in a way that stole her breath. One arm wrapped securely around her waist. The other tilted her chin up with two fingers—gentle, but unignorable.

She opened her mouth to say something—anything—but the words never made it out.

Lux leaned up and kissed her.

Not rushed. Not frantic. Just deep.

Slow.

Unavoidable.

His lips moved like he had all the time in the world. Like kissing her was a language he'd perfected across lifetimes. He kissed the corners of her mouth, the curve of her lower lip, grazing, teasing—until she finally melted against him and kissed him back.

She didn't even realize when her fingers curled in his hair. Her body demanded more.

His tongue slid against hers, smooth and purposeful, and her body answered in a warm rush she couldn't name. Her mind spun. Her chest pressed to his.

Then— Lux nipped her lip.

A small graze of teeth.

Naomi gasped into his mouth, jerking slightly, but he held her firm.

He pulled back just enough to look at her.

"Sensitive?" he murmured, voice low, dangerously amused.

Her blush deepened. She couldn't speak—could only nod. Her head went blank.

Lux didn't ask again.

He shifted their bodies, smoothly flipping her onto her back, his weight settling over her with perfect control. Her back pressed to the cool silk sheets; his chest hovered above hers—warm, steady, and far too close.

"You should be careful," he whispered, brushing a knuckle over her cheek. "Lying down next to someone like me."

Her throat moved in a swallow. "Why?"

"Because I bite," Lux murmured—and then did.

His mouth trailed down her neck, hot and open, licking and grazing, nipping just enough to make her back arch. Her fingers clutched the sheets. She felt like her entire body was rewiring itself around each point of contact—every flick of his tongue, every breath at her collarbone.

She whimpered softly. "Lux…"

He pulled back just enough to see her face.

His hand moved—slow and confident—sliding down the fabric of her dress.

He didn't rush.

His fingers found the hem of her dress, sliding beneath the soft fabric and lifting it up slowly. His palms brushed her thighs as he worked it upward—over her hips, her waist, and finally, past her shoulders. She raised her arms to help him, and the dress slipped off like silk falling off porcelain.

He stared—not with hunger, but awe. Not like Carson ever did—empty, entitled—but like she was art. Valuable. Singular.

Her bra was next—unhooked carefully, reverently—and his mouth was there.

No warning.

Just heat.

His tongue circled the soft skin, slow and deliberate. Then he drew her in, lips closing with pressure that sent lightning across her nerves.

Naomi gasped, her body trembling.

Lux kept going.

He explored every part of her chest, teasing and licking, grazing his teeth when she shivered too much. When she arched, he rewarded her with a kiss between her ribs.

"You taste expensive," he whispered against her skin.

Naomi laughed—breathless, barely coherent. "You're insane…"

"No," he murmured, voice a growl against her stomach as he kissed lower. "I'm dangerous."

His fingers hooked at the sides of her underwear—delicate lace, new—and he tugged it down slowly, grazing her thighs with the backs of his hands.

He held it up with a raised brow.

"You wore this for me?" he teased.

She covered her face. "I just bought it—!"

"Mmhm," Lux muttered, kissing up her inner thigh. "I'll take it as a yes."

Naomi's breath hitched as Lux lowered his head between her legs, but before he even touched her there, he paused—looked up.

"You're sure?" he asked, voice unexpectedly soft now.

She nodded, fast.

"There's no turning back now…" He didn't smile. Yeah, that settled it.

He devoured.

Heat. Tongue. Wet, slow precision.

Naomi nearly screamed.

Her legs locked around him as he worked—licking with devastating grace, flicking his tongue like he knew every rhythm that made her body sing.

She writhed, moaned, her fingers buried in his hair, clinging to him like he was the only anchor in the world.

Lux groaned against her. The vibration sent sparks through her core.

He didn't stop until her body jerked under his mouth, until her hips bucked, until she gasped his name so hard it sounded like a vow.

And even then—even then—he kissed her thighs like they were the ending of a holy verse.

When he came back up, she looked dazed.

Ruined.

Beautiful.

Lux leaned over her, resting on his elbows.

She blinked up at him, trying to catch her breath.

"Ah… hah… I think you broke something in my brain."

He chuckled. "Just tuning it."

Naomi stared at him.

And in a voice that surprised even herself, she whispered, "You're right. You are dangerous."

Lux leaned closer.

And kissed her slow, again.

"Yes," he said against her lips.

Naomi clung to him, like she was addicted to him.

And this time?

She didn't think she ever wanted it to end.

He just hovered there, eyes half-lidded, watching her from under wet lashes like a predator who enjoyed the stillness before the strike. His breath was warm against her lips, his skin flush with heat. But his smile…

His smile was trouble.

He kissed her again—harder this time.

No more teasing.

This kiss was ownership wrapped in heat. His hands slid along her hips, firm and unrelenting, fingers digging into the soft curves like he was memorizing her by feel alone. She moaned into his mouth, and he swallowed the sound like a reward.

Then his mouth changed.

It wasn't just kissing anymore. It was tasting. His tongue ran along her bottom lip, then down her jaw, then—lower. He licked along her collarbone, slow, and grazed his teeth just enough to make her twitch beneath him.

"You're so responsive," he muttered.

"Y-you're making it impossible not to be," Naomi managed to choke out, voice breathless and breaking.

Lux chuckled darkly.

That sound… it wasn't soft. It wasn't sweet. It was wicked. Confident. Like he already knew how this night would end and was savoring the process of breaking her down into pieces along the way.

"Good."

His hand found her thigh again, fingers tracing the inside slowly, lazily. Teasing—but with purpose.

"I want you to surrender."

She swallowed hard. "I think I already have."

"Not enough."

He leaned closer, brushing his lips against her ear. "I want to hear you beg me not to stop."

Then he bit her earlobe. Just enough to make her gasp.

She arched against him.

Lux growled low in his throat, and his hand gripped her thigh tighter, dragging it up around his waist.

His body pressed flush to hers now.

And she felt it.

Hard. Hot. Demanding.
