Chapter 692 – I'm Here to Sin Politely
Naomi laughed. "Welcome to being irresistible."
"I blame my face," he said dryly. "And the fact I exist."
Zehar wobbled proudly in the corner. Lux didn't know if that was agreement or an offering to stab someone. Possibly both.
He exhaled slowly and reached for the wine again, the glass perfectly refilling itself as if the system knew this conversation was far from over.
"Then we'll see about this later," he muttered. "I still have some invitations to sort through."
Naomi arched a brow. "From who?"
He tapped his fingers once against the glass, thoughtful. "The Celestials. The Avariel. And… the Envy household."
That last one lingered. Longer than the others.
The table quieted just slightly. Not awkward, just that instinctual hush whenever Lux got that look in his eye.
