Chapter 849 - A Sudden Report

Tian Yun Zhēnzūn waved his hand and opened a straight path leading into the area. Jian Li and Jian Jun arrived one after the other before the two Zhēnzūn, bowed in greeting, and, unsurprisingly, saw Jian Dan there as well.

Only after saluting the two seniors did the pair turn toward Jian Dan and say,

"Congratulations to Martial Uncle Jian Lu for reaching the Mahayana stage."

Since both of them were lower in cultivation than Jian Dan but had Mahayana Zhēnzūn as their teachers, they addressed her as Martial Uncle Jian Lu.

"You two should just call me Jian Lu. Hearing 'Martial Uncle' makes me feel ancient."

She said it with a grin.

Neither of them acted polite about it. They agreed immediately, both confident they'd reach the Mahayana stage sooner or later.

"You came together, so something must've happened?"

This time Tian Hong Zhēnzūn asked. Jian Li was his disciple, and Jian Jun's master was guarding a spatial node and couldn't teach her often, so Tian Hong Zhēnzūn usually guided both.

"There's something important to report. Jian Li and I have been sorting through the information we've collected over the past century, along with the news I brought back from that piece of the Immortal Realm. We'll explain everything, and anything we miss, Senior Sister Jian Lu can fill in."

Jian Jun wore the formal Zūnzhǔ robe, her features elegant and her hair tied up with a white jade crown. She was as tall as Jian Li, and her tone was still gentle and courteous, but every word landed firmly.

When Jian Dan heard that part of this report involved her, she paused. It was probably about her resources and some theories she and Jian Jun shared, so she didn't rush to leave.

"Alright."

Tian Hong Zhēnzūn swept the chessboard away. A white jade table appeared with five carved jade stools. After the five of them sat, Jian Dan brewed a pot of Bodhi Clearheart Tea in one practiced sequence and poured everyone a cup before listening to Jian Jun's report.

Jian Jun first summarized how her group entered the spatial rift and reached the fallen fragment of the Immortal Realm. She skimmed past the part about negotiating with the Tan Song families, injuring the Yu Tao clan, and being confined afterward.

When the story reached the point where she met Jian Dan, the rest was handed over to Jian Dan. She didn't dare hide Jian Jun's severe injuries and explained them directly.

"She's fine now?"

Tian Hong Zhēnzūn frowned and immediately swept his divine sense across Jian Jun.

"Thanks to Senior Sister Jian Lu, the injuries healed completely. My cultivation's even ready to improve again, but I want to finish our current matters before I go into seclusion."

She smiled as she explained.

After that, Jian Jun showed the star map and the jade slips recreated by the Tan Song families, as well as the various deductions they'd formed together.

"After discussing it, Jian Li and I feel the jade slips containing information about the insect race should be spread as quickly as possible. Not just within the Sect. The families under the Heavenly Sword Sect need them too, and so do the Dao Gate and Demon Gate.

"The beast race already received the information. Since we passed through their territory on the way back, we engraved a copy and handed it to the Nine Tailed King.

The Purple Sky Sect, the Artifact Sect, the Yin Yang Gate, and the Loose Cultivator Alliance all returned with us, and they've already copied the jade slips. I'm sure they'll present them to their Sect Masters once they're home.

As for the remaining Dao Gate sects, we can use this to build some goodwill."

Once she finished, she glanced at Jian Dan, clearly asking for her opinion.

"I agree with Jian Jun. This benefits the entire Lingyun Continent."

She fully supported it.

"Good. Then we'll handle this in the Sect's name. Let Jian Chong manage it."

Tian Yun Zhēnzūn threw the task directly to the Heavenly Sword Sect's Sect Master. It was a job far more suited to him.

"There were three cultivators from other continents who returned with us: Hou San and the Bai sisters.

Hou San excels at gathering intel and is at late Divine Transformation. With the resources he gained on this trip, he shouldn't have trouble reaching the Divine Soul stage. He's currently cultivating on my peak. I recommend assigning him to the Intelligence Division so he can work on external information gathering.

The Bai sisters are poison cultivators. They were ostracized on their own continent and sent into the Immortal Realm fragment to avoid trouble. Both are at early Divine Soul, and when they combine their poison, they can reach Void Refinement level power. I want them to work with Jin Ai to keep developing poisons that can kill the insect race."

Jian Dan explained the three people she brought back, keeping it brief while still asking for everyone's input.

"Jian Lu planned ahead. Well done. But why are you so set on using poison to deal with the insect race?"

Tian Hong Zhēnzūn took a sip of tea before asking.

"It saves effort, time, and manpower. The insect race outnumbers us a hundred to one. It's the most efficient approach. Besides, not every cultivator who goes to fight will be in the Mahayana stage."

Her single sentence made Tian Yun Zhēnzūn, Tian Hong Zhēnzūn, and Jian Jun sit in quiet thought for a moment before they nodded.

"In that case, follow your plan. The three of them will enter the Law Enforcement Hall."

Tian Yun Zhēnzūn made the decision directly, then instructed Jian Li,

"Test their temperament according to the Law Enforcement Hall standards. Don't leave hidden dangers for the Sect."

"Yes, Zhēnzūn."

Both Zhēnzūn had assigned what needed assigning, and Jian Dan had finished her report. She was about to hand over the resources from the Immortal Realm fragment and return to seclusion when Jian Jun suddenly turned toward her and smiled.

"Martial Uncle Jian Lu, there's something I don't understand, and I want to ask for your guidance."

Jian Dan's eyelid twitched. That smile didn't feel like a good sign at all, but she still kept her composure and replied,

"I wouldn't call it guidance. Tell me, and I'll help you think it through."
