~ OLIVIA
"Uhmmm... Olivia, I have some confession to make."
"Go on. I'm all ears."
"Actually via, I really don't know how you'll take this but I have to let out my mind."
My heart was beating rapidly at this point. What confession? And why does he look so tensed.
"Via, we've been best of friends for Months now", he continued. "...and I have to admit, my feelings for you have changed over time," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. His eyes searched mine, filled with a mix of nervousness and vulnerability.
I felt like I'd been punched in the gut, my mind reeling with the weight of his words. Best friends? Was he saying what I thought he was saying? My heart was racing, and I couldn't seem to find my voice.
Brian's words hung in the air, waiting for my response, as I struggled to process this unexpected revelation.
I felt like I was frozen in time, unsure of how to react or what to say. Brian's face was inches from mine, his eyes pleading for understanding. "Via, I know this might come as a shock, but I couldn't keep it inside anymore," he said, his voice cracking with emotion.
The silence between us was palpable, and I knew I had to say something, but what?I took a deep breath, trying to calm my racing thoughts.
My eyes locked onto Brian's, and I saw the sincerity and vulnerability there. I felt a mix of emotions swirling inside me - surprise, confusion, and... something else. Something I couldn't quite put my finger on.
"Brian," I whispered, my voice barely audible. I paused, trying to gather my thoughts. "I... I didn't see this coming," I stammered, my words feeling inadequate. Brian's face fell slightly, but he nodded, encouraging me to continue. "What do you mean, your feelings have changed?" I asked, my curiosity getting the better of me.
Brian's eyes sparkled with hope, and he took a deep breath, as if steeling himself for what was to come.
"I mean, I've been feeling this way for a while now," Brian said, his voice filled with emotion. "I care about you deeply, Via. More than just as friends." He paused, studying my reaction. "I think I might be falling for you." The words hung in the air, and I felt like time had slowed down.
My mind was racing, trying to process the weight of his confession. Falling for me? Brian, my best friend, the one person who knew me inside and out? I felt a flutter in my chest, and suddenly, the room seemed smaller, like it was just the two of us, suspended in this moment.
Brian's eyes searched mine, waiting for a response, and I knew I had to say something, but what?
I took another deep breath, trying to calm my racing heart. My eyes locked onto Brian's, and I saw the genuine emotion there. I felt a mix of emotions swirling inside me, but one thing stood out - I cared about Brian deeply too. I had always valued our friendship, but now, I was seeing him in a different light. I opened my mouth to speak, and the words tumbled out.
"Brian, I... I don't know what to say." My voice was barely above a whisper, but Brian nodded understandingly. He took a step closer, his eyes never leaving mine. "You don't have to say anything right now," he said softly. "Just knowing how you feel about this... about us... would be enough for me." I felt a pang of affection for him, and my heart skipped a beat as I realized that maybe, just maybe, I felt the same way.
Brian's words were like a balm to my frazzled nerves, and I felt a sense of relief wash over me. I looked up at him, and our eyes met in a tender moment.
"I love you..so much. And I want you to know that." His words melted me.
Without thinking, I reached out and took his hand, feeling a spark of electricity as our palms touched. Brian's eyes lit up with hope, and he squeezed my hand gently. "Take all the time you need, Via," he whispered.
"I love you too, Brian. I always think about you. To be honest, I feel the same way for you." I said, sincerely.
"You do?.."
Brian's eyes widened in surprise, and then a radiant smile spread across his face. "Really?" he asked again, his voice filled with excitement and disbelief.
I nodded, feeling a sense of liberation and happiness. "Yes, really," I replied, my voice barely above a whisper. Brian's face lit up with joy, and he pulled me into a gentle hug. "I've wanted to tell you for so long," he whispered into my ear. I felt his warm breath on my skin, and my heart skipped a beat as I wrapped my arms around him, holding him close.
We stood there for a moment, savoring the intimacy of the moment, our hearts beating as one. "I love you, Via," he whispered, his voice filled with emotion. "I love you too, Brian," I replied, feeling like I was home.
As we stood there, wrapped in each other's arms, the world around us melted away. Brian's eyes locked onto mine, and I saw the love and adoration shining brightly. He gently brushed a strand of hair behind my ear, his fingers grazing my skin, sending shivers down my spine.
Without a word, he leaned in, his lips meeting mine in a soft, tender kiss. The world spun around us, but we were lost in our own little bubble of love. The kiss deepened, and I felt like I was melting into his arms.
Brian's hands wandered to my waist, pulling me closer, as our lips moved in perfect harmony. Time stood still, and all that mattered was the love we shared. We broke apart for a moment, gasping for air, and smiled at each other.
"I love you," Brian whispered, his voice husky with emotion.
"I love you too," I replied, my voice barely audible.
We shared another kiss, this one longer and more passionate.
"Forever?" he asked, his eyes sparkling with hope.
"Forever," I replied, smiling up at him.
