Chapter 359 - Chapter 359: Tsunade! What Are You Doing!

Gekko Chizan's entire body glowed with a faint blue light as Tagorihime, Ichikishimahime, and Tagitsuhime extended their right hands, pointing forward.

Three streams of eerie red, blue, and green light gathered in front of Gekko Chizan.

The next second, a fierce flame spewed out of his mouth.

As the crimson flame passed through the three streams of light, it immediately took on a strange hue.

Snakes have venom in their saliva, and it's extremely toxic. The three Snake Princesses had each mastered different sage techniques, and their toxins were different too.

Tagitsuhime's poison was paralyzing.

Tagorihime's poison was hallucinogenic.

Ichikishimahime's poison was corrosive.

And after Gekko Chizan trained in sage arts, the snake talent he awakened was fire poison.

Maybe it was because he loved setting mountains on fire so much—but in any case, his poison was the most ferocious kind.

The flame was still flame, but with all those toxins added on, tsk tsk… the damage was multiplied many times over.

The little bees in front of him didn't even have time to struggle before they were reduced to dust.

Yes, not charcoal—dust. Ichikishimahime's corrosive poison melted their flesh entirely, and then the fire poison burned the remains until they were nothing but powder.

The eerie glowing flames lit up the night sky, drawing the attention of all the Iwagakure ninja at the border of the Land of Grass.

But they were quickly pulled back to reality by the explosions.

Katsuyu's kamikaze squad was still charging forward.

"What the hell is this fire!?"

"Tōshirō-sama! We need support!"

Yabachi of the Kamizuru clan watched in horror as the flames fell into the forest and merged with the explosions.

The twisted, scorching heat sent a chill down his spine.

He watched helplessly as his poisonous bees were burned to ash. All he could feel was fear.

He didn't even dare look straight at the blue-glowing figure in the air. With no other choice, he urged his Bee King to retreat deeper into the Land of Grass.

"Dammit! Damn Konoha ninja!"

"Rōshi, Han!"

"Catch the guy setting fire in the air!"

He didn't even need to shout for help. Tōshirō, and the others were already charging forward, with a large group of Iwagakure elite ninja following behind.

The explosions were booming nonstop—of course they'd heard them.

Two massive figures suddenly leapt from the ranks.

One was radiating steam, moving at incredible speed, reaching the front lines in just a few breaths.

The other's entire body was wreathed in heat, covered in bright red magma.

Han, the jinchūriki of the Five-Tails, and Rōshi, the jinchūriki of the Four-Tails—the twin killing machines of Iwagakure—were charging toward the border.

"Chizan, Goku and Kokuō are here. If we keep fighting, this might not end well."

"Even if you could reveal your identity, just the two of us can't take both of them."

Chōmei saw the two Tailed Beasts rushing out and immediately warned his brother.

Gekko Chizan didn't need to be told. The moment he saw the two jinchūriki, he was already planning to retreat.

"Katsuyu, how many clones haven't broken through yet?"

"More than half are still behind. The shockwaves from the explosions have slowed their advance."

Hearing that, Gekko Chizan frowned deeply.

He had already expected that not all the Katsuyu clones would make it in, but after all this time, less than half?

No, this wouldn't do. If things went on like this, the plan would completely fail.

"Tch, guess I have to do it myself."

He casually tossed a marked kunai, then vanished with Flying Thunder God.

When he reappeared, he was already standing in front of Tsunade.

Without saying a word, Gekko Chizan grabbed her. She flinched slightly, startled, and before she could react, the scenery around them changed in an instant.

"Hey, you little bastard, what are you—"

"Boom!"

A ruthless explosion cut Tsunade off mid-sentence and told her everything she needed to know—they were on the battlefield.

"Tsunade, no time for talking. Hurry up and help me throw all the Katsuyu clones over there."

"They've already sent in reinforcements. Whether we can wipe out those bees depends on us now."

Tsunade glanced at the still-raging explosions in the distance and nodded immediately.

"Katsuyu, gather over here."

"Yes, Tsunade-sama."

The Katsuyu clones that hadn't yet entered the forest immediately began retreating toward the rear.

The explosions temporarily ceased, and the Iwagakure ninja breathed a sigh of relief.

"Damn it! Counterattack!"

"Kill those Konoha bastards!"

"Charge—!? ...What is that?"

Just as the Iwagakure ninja were regaining their fighting spirit and cursing while preparing to strike back, one of them suddenly let out a confused cry.

More heads turned upward.

"Oh my god! Run!"

"Run! Take cover!"

It was a massive boulder.

The Iwagakure ninja felt utterly helpless. First the explosions, now giant rocks?

And this rock… was enormous.

But something unexpected happened when it hit the ground.

The moment it landed, the rock shattered, scattering countless fragments and blue-white Katsuyu clones in every direction.

"Damn! It's those bugs!"

"Caref—"

The warning hadn't even finished when the explosions started again—this time even more terrifying than before.

Because this rock had been thrown right into their ranks.

The explosion swallowed everyone nearby.

And it didn't end there.

More massive boulders were flying toward the Iwagakure camp.

And that still wasn't the end.

A sudden gust of wind rose from somewhere, giving the sluggish Katsuyu clones the equivalent of wings. They were blown straight toward the enemy.

Gekko Chizan was madly weaving Wind Release. Sage chakra was far more intense than regular chakra, and with his full release, all the Katsuyu clones were lifted and hurled at the enemy lines.

"Orochimaru's Wind Release—you've really mastered it, huh?"

"Tsk tsk, thanks for the compliment."

Tsunade and Gekko Chizan chatted casually as they worked.

But their opponents weren't just going to sit there and take it. A furious roar echoed from the forest.

"Where the hell did these bugs come from!"

"Get lost!"

The flames were instantly swept away by a violent wave of steam. The explosions had already been terrifying, but this steam was even fiercer.

The next second, a massive body smashed through the trees, crushing the still-unexploded Katsuyu clones beneath it.

Kokuō once again showed her power.

Steam billowed from her entire body, and her five tails lashed out, smashing the remaining boulders to pieces.

The unleashed steam obliterated the Katsuyu clones.

Their advantage vanished in an instant.

"Damn… that's it for us."

"We need to retreat, Tsunade."

"Katsuyu, all remaining unexploded clones, fall back—hey, hey, hey!?"

"Tsunade, where are you going!?"
