Chapter 225 - Chapter 225: The Change in Ninetales

As Aerodactyl soared past, Ace, his body weak and weary, looked at the mountain ahead, which was growing larger. He reached out and patted Aerodactyl's body.

With a flap of its wings, Aerodactyl dove down with Ace and landed slowly next to a huge rock.

Kirlia jumped down, and with a surge of psychic power, the massive rock slowly moved away, revealing a cave entrance.

This was a cave that Ace and Cynthia had left behind when they climbed Silver Mountain. Since Ace was in a bad state, it was the perfect place for him to seek refuge and deal with his current situation.

Soon, Ace was carried into the cave by Aerodactyl and Kirlia. He half-lay against the rock wall, struggling to open his windbreaker. The Poké Balls clipped to his jacket instantly rolled all over the ground.

"Crack, crack, crack..."

One by one, the Poké Balls broke open, and Ace's Pokémon rushed out. All of them, except for Rayquaza and Lugia, appeared before him.

Kirlia quickly explained Ace's current condition to the other Pokémon. Chansey frowned and was the first to walk to the cave entrance. It used its strength to pull the rock, which had been moved to the side, back to its original position, blocking the entrance.

Then, Chansey took the Poké Balls from Ace's pouch and tossed them to the other Pokémon.

The other Pokémon understood what to do and caught the Poké Balls, pressing them against themselves.

Soon, all of the Pokémon had changed to new Poké Balls, and the old ones were scattered on the ground.

However, all the Poké Balls opened again, and the Pokémon reappeared in the cave, looking at Ace with concern.

"I'm fine, I just need a day to rest," Ace reassured his Pokémon.

But just then, a slightly jarring crunching sound was heard. All the Pokémon turned their heads and looked at Genesect and Tyranitar.

Genesect looked confused, holding a rock in its hands and putting it in its mouth. Its teeth gnawed on the rock, making a crunching sound.

Tyranitar, on the other hand, turned its head away, looking as if it had nothing to do with this.

There was nothing they could do; they hadn't eaten for a long time and were already starving.

Tyranitar could have endured it, but Genesect, whose friendship with Ace wasn't strong enough, kept bothering Tyranitar and asking for food.

Tyranitar was worried about Ace and ignored Genesect at first, but since Genesect kept bothering it, Tyranitar told it that rocks were edible.

After all, Tyranitar grew up eating dirt, so its teeth could handle chewing on a rock.

Genesect believed it and picked up a rock and put it in its mouth.

As it turned out, if you don't have the diamond, don't take on the porcelain work.

Genesect chewed on it and realized that rocks were not edible. It immediately spit out the rock fragments in its mouth.

Ace's face darkened at the sight.

He called Chansey over, who took out some Poké Blocks and Pokémon food from Ace's pouch and distributed them to each Pokémon.

Ace's food was simple as well. Chansey took one of its own eggs, made a roasted egg, and put it into Ace's mouth.

Ace and his Pokémon were resting there, waiting for Ace to slowly recover.

Meanwhile, in the magma lake inside Silver Mountain, Ninetales slowly stood up. Feeling the dissipation of the power in its body, Ninetales let out a high-pitched cry. A flame instantly burst through the top of the cave.

Accompanied by the flame, Ninetales leaped out and landed in the snow outside.

"The power has returned."

Ninetales felt the cold air outside and took a deep breath. A scorching temperature began to spread slowly to its surroundings.

Ninetales's strength also rapidly increased until it reached a certain limit before it slowly came to a halt.

"I'm free. Now, I'll go find him."

Ninetales let out a soft cry. It leaped forward, like a ghost, and flew out quickly. In an instant, it went from the top of the mountain to the middle of the mountain.

Its psychic power spread out, and soon, a few auras appeared in Ninetales's mind.

"Hmm... from the looks of it, it should be the same trainer as last time. If that's the case, then..."

Instantly, the aura on Ninetales's body changed and quickly adjusted to a stable one.

"This child's strength is the strongest, so... I'll leave it to you..."

After saying that, the light in Ninetales's eyes gradually dimmed. After a few seconds, the light in Ninetales's eyes brightened again, and it quickly returned to its original state.

Ninetales looked around in confusion, quickly determined the direction, and ran toward a nearby rock.

When it reached the rock, Ninetales raised its claws and began to scratch the rock. A harsh scratching sound was made, which easily traveled through the rock.

Soon, the rock was pulled away. Chansey rushed out with a look of anger on its face, but when it saw Ninetales, it froze in confusion.

When Ninetales saw this, it immediately walked to Chansey, rubbed against it, and then quickly slipped into the cave.

Chansey looked bewildered, its brows furrowed as it looked around, and then pulled the rock back into place.

Ninetales ran into the cave. When it saw Ace half-lying against the rock wall, it immediately leaped forward, jumped to Ace's side, and then tearfully rubbed against his face.

"Who are you?"

Ace looked confused. This Ninetales gave him a very familiar feeling, but he knew very well that this was not his Ninetales!

When Ninetales heard Ace's words, it also froze, then cried out anxiously, trying to explain to Ace. Kirlia walked to Ace's side and acted as his translator.

Pokémon: NinetalesGender: FemaleLevel: 94Ability: Flash FireNature: LaxPotential: ExceptionalEgg Moves: PsyshockMoves: Ember, Flamethrower, Will-O-Wisp...

Ace was still in a daze. The stats of this Ninetales were exactly the same, except for the suddenly exaggerated level.

Kirlia translated Ninetales's explanation to Ace, but after listening, Ace was still confused.

According to Ninetales's narrative, after it was separated from Ace, it stayed in a magma lake. Other than Celebi occasionally bringing it some food, Ninetales spent more than a decade in the magma lake alone.

Then, it suddenly appeared in the middle of Silver Mountain. It had Ace's location in its mind, and following its instincts, Ninetales ran over to meet Ace.

Ace's brows furrowed. He casually asked a few questions, and Ninetales quickly answered all of them.

Even the process of its evolution, the previous layout of Ace's small building, its first meal, and how it almost threw up after its first training session, only to have Ace cover its mouth and force it back down, were all remembered clearly by Ninetales.

Everything pointed to the fact that the Ninetales in front of Ace was his Ninetales!
