"How is it? Should we deal with them?"
Green sat across from Ace, asking him about the next course of action.
Ace reviewed the current situation, his mind working quickly, and a complete plan gradually took shape.
But upon further review, Ace noticed that loopholes still existed. So, he continued to ponder, filling the gaps and correcting the deviations as much as possible.
After thinking for half an hour, a roughly modified plan was finally finalized.
"It's still not entirely safe, though. There are still some variables that must be eliminated as much as possible to ensure there are no surprises."
Ace tapped the table and spoke to Green, who had been waiting for a while: "I have a plan, but it's not quite mature yet. I'll tell you about it, and you can offer some suggestions."
With that, Ace laid out the fully patched-up plan, telling Green everything.
After listening to Ace's plan, Green pondered briefly, then said to Ace: "The general direction of the plan is fine, but I think we can borrow external assistance."
"External assistance?"
Ace was taken aback, frowning. "What kind of external assistance?"
"It seems you're too used to fighting alone, Ace. You've forgotten that we still have an advantage."
Green pointed to herself with a smile. "Don't forget, I'm one of the Four Heavenly Kings, after all. The external assistance I'm referring to is naturally help from the Alliance."
"...Are you sure?"
Ace's expression was odd. Although his relationship with the Alliance was very close, it was ultimately an exchange of benefits.
The Alliance needed Ace to make money, and Ace needed the Alliance's channels.
Coupled with Ace's current strength, this led to a delicate balance between the two parties.
If this balance were broken, Ace's profits would inevitably be partially swallowed by the Alliance.
For example, the profit from the Berries.
Ace understood the future trend, so he sold the Berries to the Alliance directly at a buyout price, ensuring his own profit was unaffected by sales.
Currently, the Alliance was vigorously promoting the cultivation of wild Berry trees, and the price of Berries was gradually decreasing. This signified that the Alliance's profit margin in the Berry industry was shrinking.
Fortunately, the Berries provided by Ace were superior in effect to ordinary Berries, so the Alliance still maintained the Berry business.
Otherwise, they would have long since cut off business with Ace's orchard and kicked Ace out.
If Ace were to rely on the Alliance's power at this moment, the Alliance would surely use it as a condition to lower the purchasing price of Ace's Berries—no doubt about it.
This was the fundamental reason why Ace had not considered the Alliance's involvement in his plan.
"Of course I'm sure."
Green rolled her eyes. "I know your concerns, but I can request assistance from the Alliance in my capacity as one of the Four Heavenly Kings. In this matter, I can exclude you, so it won't affect you."
Ace's eyes lit up after hearing Green's words. If she requested assistance in her capacity as a Heavenly King, it indeed wouldn't affect Ace, allowing the original plan to be perfected.
Next, the two discussed arrangements for potential helpers and quickly formulated two plans.
First, if only ordinary Alliance members arrived, whose strength was not too great, Ace and Green could only hope they could tie up some of the enemy personnel, giving Ace more room to maneuver.
Second, if powerful members were sent, then Ace and Green would have many more options to work with.
Whether it was luring the enemy deep into a trap or using a third party to eliminate the enemy, there were many ways to operate, both for their side and the enemy's.
With the two parts of the plan decided, Green began to contact the Alliance through internal channels.
Green specifically highlighted some information regarding Team Plasma, exaggerating their danger for added effect.
The Alliance took Green's intelligence very seriously.
Furthermore, Green had previously discovered a Team Rocket base, so the Alliance quickly gave a reply.
Hanging up the communication device, Green made an "OK" gesture to Ace and said, "The reinforcement unit will arrive in the Alola region tomorrow at the latest, and judging by their tone, they'll likely be sending stronger members."
Ace nodded. If a powerful ally could be sent, Ace's plan would proceed very smoothly.
And if handled well, Ace was confident he could drag the Aether Foundation into the mess.
The side quest required him to catch Cosmoem. Once he caught Cosmoem, Ace would set off for the Ultra Wormhole to complete the side quest as much as possible.
Of course, for such a perfect scenario, everything must go according to plan.
Even if he couldn't drag the Aether Foundation into it, he could at least deal with the trouble of Team Plasma.
...
"Attention, attention! The targets are moving! The targets are moving!"
The lookout watching the Listening Wave Hotel spotted Ace and Green leaving the premises and immediately notified others via a miniature communicator.
Other Team Plasma members, upon receiving the information, immediately turned their attention to the hotel's main entrance.
They soon noticed the figures of Ace and Green.
Seeing the two leave the hotel, these people immediately started tracking, following closely behind Ace and Green.
Ace and Green's whereabouts were reported back to Ghetsis through these trackers.
Ghetsis looked through the compiled intelligence, his brow furrowed.
The reports mainly recorded where Ace and Green had gone to eat and play—not a single piece of useful intelligence was transmitted.
But just as Ghetsis was considering whether to have the trackers get closer to obtain information, a piece of useful intelligence reached his hands.
"They're going fishing near Winding Woods tomorrow?"
Ghetsis looked at the transmitted intelligence, a sharp gleam lighting up in his eyes.
"Yes, this was confirmed during their meal. After finishing their meal, the two also went to a fishing gear store to purchase fishing tools and have since returned to the Listening Wave Hotel with them."
The intelligence was confirmed again. Ghetsis slammed his hand on the table, stood up, and said excitedly, "Immediately gather all available members and prepare to await orders near Winding Woods. Have the lookouts keep a close watch on the targets and ensure they proceed normally to the Winding Woods area, understood?!"
"Yes."
Watching his subordinates immediately spring into action, Ghetsis was smug. He absolutely had to reclaim the Tao Dragon; its power was essential to fulfilling his ambitions.
"My preparations were too inadequate last time, which led to defeat."
Ghetsis looked out at the sea through the floor-to-ceiling window of his temporary hotel room, a vicious look flashing in his eyes. "But this time, I am fully prepared. Once the fish is in the net, it will be mine to slaughter!"
Ghetsis was dreaming of a beautiful future, but he didn't know that his 'fish' wasn't a catch to be slaughtered, but a great white shark ready to devour him!
