"Splash, splash..."
Amidst the sound of the ocean tide, Ace used a rope to tie up Ghetsis's three trusted subordinates and had Genesect carry them. Meanwhile, the Tao Dragon descended with Ace to a coastal area.
Above the sea, Ghetsis's corpse floated, his face contorted with resentment and unwillingness.
Falling from such a height, landing on the sea surface was not much different from landing on solid ground.
Ace didn't even need to look to know that Ghetsis's bones and internal organs were shattered, and he was absolutely dead.
Ace recalled the Tao Dragon, dragged Ghetsis's corpse onto Genesect, and performed a quick search, soon finding the Reveal Glass.
Not only the Reveal Glass, but also his Poké Balls and other miscellaneous items were confiscated by Ace.
Carrying Ghetsis's corpse and his three subordinates, Ace headed towards the Reversal Mountain area.
"Lord N, Lord Ghetsis has failed."
The news of Ghetsis's death quickly reached N's ears.
N listened to his subordinate's report, sighed slightly, and waved for them to leave.
Anthea and Concordia walked up to N and said with some worry, "Lord N..."
"That guy is finally dead."
In front of the two girls, N finally smiled and said, "After hiding for so many years, I can finally breathe a sigh of relief."
The two girls were momentarily stunned to see N smile.
N, however, was oblivious and muttered to himself, "That guy always treated me like a tool. How could I not know? It's just that I didn't have the ability to resist him back then. I love Pokémon, and I hope they can live better lives, but I don't wish to achieve that goal in this way. Since that guy is dead, I don't need to continue like this anymore..."
"Lord N..."
Listening to N's murmuring, Anthea and Concordia were completely bewildered.
N, instead, took their hands and said to the two girls, "The era of Team Plasma is coming to an end. We grew up together. Are you willing to leave with me?"
Facing N's request, the two girls agreed without a moment's hesitation.
The three of them were adopted children of Ghetsis. To fulfill his ambitions, Ghetsis pushed N to the forefront, making him his puppet.
Anthea and Concordia were the bargaining chips Ghetsis used to control N.
When they were younger, they didn't quite understand this.
But as time went on, they developed their own sense of right and wrong. Because N was pushed to the forefront, Ghetsis couldn't fully brainwash him, which eventually led to a growing disagreement and estrangement between the two sides.
Now that Ghetsis was dead, N no longer had to pretend. His current thought was to stay far away from the whirlpool that was Team Plasma.
Because he clearly knew that unless he took control of Team Plasma himself, allowing the subordinates to seize power would eventually lead to the fire being directed back at him.
He was unwilling to live that kind of life anymore.
So N chose to leave.
What N did not know was that the current Team Plasma was centered around N himself.
N choosing to leave was equivalent to ripping the backbone out of the entire Team Plasma.
Without N as the main pillar, it would be extremely difficult for Team Plasma to regroup.
Because no one could command universal respect!
On the other side, Ace and Green re-grouped halfway. The members sent out by Ghetsis had been completely captured by them, and subsequent League members had arrived to begin the process of containment and detention.
When they saw Ace return virtually unscathed with Ghetsis's corpse, his three subordinates, and the three Kami Trio Pokémon re-contained, they were all quite surprised.
Ace handed the Poké Balls containing the Kami Trio and the Reveal Glass to Alder, who would take them back to the Unova region.
The Kami Trio were, after all, the guardian deities of the Unova region. Capturing them would more or less affect the local ecosystem there.
So, Alder did not refuse. He accepted the Poké Balls and the Reveal Glass, planning to take them back to the Unova region after some time.
The League members quickly arrived and took over the follow-up work.
Ace watched them process everything methodically and commented with a sense of realization, "Team Plasma will now be a thing of the past."
After speaking, Ace looked at Cynthia and asked with some confusion, "By the way, why did the League send you over?"
Cynthia looked at Ace and smiled, "I came to gain some experience. The Sinnoh region also has some voices of instability lately, so learning in advance will be beneficial for the future."
Hearing Cynthia say this, Ace instantly understood that Team Galactic must have started becoming active in the Sinnoh region.
"Main Quest (Destroyed World): Find the entrance to the Destroyed World, enter the Destroyed World, and explore the essence of the world. Quest Rewards: 500,000 gold coins, Designated Energy *3, Spatial Training Ground unlocked, Quest Points awarded based on completion status."
The Main Quest, which had been absent for a long time, suddenly appeared at this moment.
Moreover, unlike previous quests that pushed the plot forward, the current Main Quest suddenly showed a change.
It was no longer about participating in the storyline but had turned into an independent exploration.
Ace wasn't sure if this change was good or bad, but the only certainty was that for this quest, his advantage of familiarity with the plot would cease to exist.
However, motivated by the quest rewards, Ace decided he had to give it his all.
Both the Designated Energy and the gold coins were necessities for Ace.
Furthermore, the Spatial Training Ground mentioned in the rewards was a technology similar to opening up other dimensions.
It was somewhat similar to Ace's Spatial Pouch, but the space opened up this time would be much wider, internally equipped with various adjustable training facilities and sparring partners.
It could be said that with this, Pokémon that are too large, like the Tao Dragon or Rayquaza, and cannot be specifically trained, would finally be able to begin targeted training.
Putting aside everything else, just look at this time.
The Kami Trio, simply by using the Reveal Glass to revert to their Therian Forms, had strength far surpassing the Tao Dragon.
But was the Tao Dragon's strength truly limited to that?
Clearly not!
Since the Tao Dragon was captured by Ace, Ace had essentially never properly trained it.
First, there weren't enough suitable opponents for the Tao Dragon to spar with, and second, there wasn't enough space for the Tao Dragon to exert itself.
These two limiting factors had kept the Tao Dragon's strength stagnant. However, once the Spatial Training Ground was available, Ace could start preparing to train the Tao Dragon and Rayquaza.
As long as he had enough time, doubling or tripling their original strength should not be a problem.
As soon as he thought of this, Ace immediately made up his mind to complete this Main Quest.
The sooner he completed this quest, the sooner he could boost the strength of the Tao Dragon and the others.
This would be a great benefit for the future!
