Synopsis
I was silent, holding back the emotions that were rising in my chest. Not once or twice did he talk like that. And every time, I end up apologizing. I'm the one who has to calm him down, even though I'm the one who's being hurt. People say love is mutual understanding. But why does it feel like I have to continue to understand him, while he never wants to try to understand me? The funny thing is, he always knows how to pull me back. With gentle looks, warm hugs, and sweet words that make me doubt my own memory. Maybe I'm too sensitive. Maybe this is all my fault. Or... maybe I've been in the wrong relationship for too long, until I no longer know which is love and which is hurt. And the scariest part of me still loves him. Or maybe, I just love the version of himself that he shows the world. A version that even I have rarely encountered.

Chapter 1 - Bab 1 Fake smile

The rain fell gently on the bar in Hongdae, bringing a cold feeling that quietly seeped into the chest. Behind the cash register, 'Lee Ha Yoon, a part-time student who is all too familiar with the feeling of fatigue, wipes the last table with an automatic motion.

The street lights began to reflect the yellowish light they sent, making the window look like a lonely painting. The cell phone in his pocket vibrated. He already knew who was calling before even looking at his screen.

> Seungmin: "Ha Yoon-ah, I'm a little late. There's an impromptu show. I'll pick you up later at the usual place. Love you."

A thin smile graced his lips. Not because of happiness. But because... what else can he do? Ha Yoon is used to receiving such messages. Too late. Suddenly there was a busking show. Sweet promises that have lost their taste. He sat on a bar stool, braving the rain from behind the window. Three years with Seungmin. Three years filled with sweet words, warm hugs... and small wounds that are slowly reshaping big inside him.

"Ha Yoon-ah," Hyun soo's soft voice, continued his work, breaking the reverie.

"Are you okay?" > Hyun soo,

Ha Yoon answered.

"It's okay, just tired." Tired.

The simplest words to cover everything he really wanted to shout. Tired of being the only one trying. Tired of giving up. Tired of feeling alone in a relationship that should strengthen each other. --- Scan A few weeks ago appeared...

> "Seungmin-ah I really can't take it anymore. You promised to change!, but everything remains the same!."

>Seungmin - "So..You want to leave me?! >Seungmin - "I'd rather die than let you go!,"

>Ha Yoon - Hey!! Seungmin-ah!

Suddenly, Seungmin grabs a small knife from the kitchen table. A cut on his hand. Blood drips. And Ha Yoon—as usual is weak. He stays. Out of pity. Out of guilt. Because Seungmin knows, he's too good to really leave.

............. It's half past twelve at night. Ha Yoon walks down the hall Narrow between the old buildings, his left hand embraced the blanket, the right hand held the umbrella. The rain has not stopped. The canvas shoes are wet, and the steps are planning - as his heart refuses to go home. So in front of the small contracting house where

Seungmin lived, the lights inside were still on. The window opened slightly, producing a voice of the guitar and singing the lyrics that were close to the ear.

> "You are light ... in the wounded night ~ ..." Ha Yoon took a deep breath. The same song. The same lyrics. The same night. He knocked on the plan door. It took a few seconds before Seungmin opened it disheveled, a thin gray t-shirt clung to his skinny body, and his eyes looked puffy. The faint aroma of cigarettes enveloped the small space.

"Ha Yoon-ah," Seungmin's voice was soft, as always. "You came."

"You said you wanted to pick me up," answered Ha Yoon slowly. Seungmin looked at him, then smiled.

"Sorry. I was too engrossed in playing the guitar. and forgot," Come in." Ha Yoon stepped in. The place was a mess. Wraps of instant ramen on the table, empty glasses on the floor, jackets casually thrown on the torn sofa. He sat in the middle of the room,

"Erm Ha Yoon-ah," I need a little help," Seungmin said suddenly.

"What help? replied Ha Yoon took off his bag he walked to the room to change his clothes, Seungmin followed him He sat on the floor mattress, looking at Ha Yoon with pitying eyes.

"can you lend me money? I only need ₩250,000 won. I promise I'll pay it back as soon as possible." Ha Yoon held his breath.

"You said that last month. And the month before that."

"I'll look for a job. Really. Next week I'm starting to become a freelance music band at an art center near Gangnam."

Ha Yoon wanted to believe it. But that sentence... he had heard too many times.

"Um..... "Ha Yoon-ah.. you love me, right?" "Just this time Eehmm..," Seungmin asked again and slowly. And as usual, Ha Yoon nodded. Although his heart is not sure. Seungmin stood up, hugging her from behind. Tightly. Too tight.

"Ha Yoon-ah. Can I live without you..." Ha Yoon was silent. His gaze was blank, looking at the small mirror on the wall. There, he saw his own pale, tired, and... strange face. 'Is this love? Or am I just afraid of getting hurt?' It doesn't know. But that night, when Seungmin slept next to her and hugged her like the last tether in her life, Ha Yoon cried quietly. No sound. Only tears know how tired it is to endure.... ......... >>>>>>> The atmosphere in the morning on campus looks ordinary. Fallen leaves are scattered along the path leading to the faculty building. Students walked by with hurried steps, busy with their cell phones, and others joked in small groups. But for Ha Yoon, the day felt heavier than usual. He sat in the middle row of the lecture hall
