Chapter 14 - Chapter 14 °•○●

For several hours he entered every newly opened administrative and student-related building.

He approached, entered and spoke with different people (NPCs) in every building that dealt with or was important to the S-Class students at the school. Moreover, he didn't just ask questions; he engaged in small talk as well.

Even in places that seemed completely absurd, he asked NPCs random questions if they couldn't answer his concerns about exiting this game.

"Hello, I'm here for a complaint."

"What seems to be the problem?"

"The automatic watering system for the school's garden was turning on and off all night. It was making too much noise. Could you send someone to fix it?"

"But the school doesn't have an automatic watering system..."

"Why not?"

Orion tried to learn anything about this game from the NPCs. And he was using every kind of nonsense he could think of.

"I heard the Demon King has started to awaken."

"Which king is that? I'm asking because I don't know. Did the sleeping king of one of the small southern kingdoms wake up?"

"You've never heard of the Demon King?"

"..."

Definitely, a few officers and security guards must have thought he was crazy or a prankster.

Orion had to admit that he had sometimes mentioned ridiculous things just for the sake of humour.

But surprising everyone was a tactic for learning useful things, wasn't it?

I think Sun Tzu said something like that. "To win a battle, say absurd things to everyone, including yourself, and cause confusion—yeah, I am pretty sure he said this.

He was in the middle of a conversation titled "I want advice on leveling up systems," with the highest-ranking student affairs secretary he could find. Then the old man Samuel appeared behind him. Orion knew this guy from yesterday evening when he got his clothes.

"Mr. Orion!"

"Oh. You startled me."

Orion had been entering and leaving so many different buildings in the last two hours that Samuel had been forced to wake up.

His secretary had been called by numerous places in the school. And his secretary had interrupted Samuel's sleep at least five times with updates about one of the S-Class students.

The innocent and sleepy man had finally been forced to come and deal with this new student himself.

"Student affairs can be a bit busy during the new enrollment period. If you want, let's let them get on with their work for now. Follow me."

A room full of officers watched with delight as Orion walked away. They were smiling at Samuel, their superior. Under the gaze of many tired officers, Samuel and Orion exited the door.

"If there's a problem, you can reach my secretary using the internal number on this card. There should be a communication panel in every room in the dorm."

Orion didn't know that Samuel, the head of all new student admissions, had cut his limited sleep short to come here.

Moreover, this super clean and high-class dressed man's clothes or gait didn't show that he was tired.

But even someone as naïve as him would recognize an angry old man when he saw one.

NPCs can get angry, I guess. It's the first time I've seen one being angry at me.

But Orion was so desperate by now that he couldn't care less about anything. He had tried everything that came to his mind.

"How can I exit?"

Seeing the old NPC's bewildered look, Orion felt terrified and tried to ask differently.

"I need to talk to the Admins or GMs. I think there's a problem. I can't log out of the game."

Samuel was horrified, remembering that he had personally worked hard for this child to rank 1 in the entrance exam and the meetings they had with all the administrative units yesterday.

Is this child stupid?

Does he have mental distress?

Did we admit a sick person into the S-class and as the school rank 1? But his previous educational files don't mention this issue at all, and his health record is clean!

After thinking a little more, everything clicked into place in Samuel's head.

Actually, it makes perfect sense now. No young person can constantly heal after so many fatal wounds and pain and still possess a healthy mind. We probably didn't notice it by chance before, but he must need psychological help.

What a shame...

He looks so healthy on the outside.

I hope the Psychology Department can solve this.

While Orion was trying to explain to this old man how he was trapped in a game and that there was no "exit" button, Samuel shook his head and touched his shoulder.

"Don't worry. This school would never give up on healing young talents with such incredibly high potential like you!"

"Take this paper and don't lose it. A nurse will come and take you to your personal psychologist after classes on Solis Day."

"Young man! I will pray for you! Good luck."

Orion realized too late that the very trustworthy and serious-looking old NPC in front of him had misunderstood things.

Despite him mentioning so much game information and computer technology-related things, Samuel treated him like he was crazy, turned his back, and took a few steps.

Then he was gone, "poof," teleporting away.

The paper in Orion's hand had a doctor's name, a strange date, and time written on it.

Ah, the days of the week are different here. Solis Day means Monday.

Orion put the paper in his pocket, wondering why a game would bother to use different days of the week. But then he remembered other urgent matters.

I'm trapped in a game!

Mother f*ckers, LET ME OUT!!!

...

Now what am I going to do?

He stood still for about a minute, looking around helplessly.

What could he do?

When he saw the young girls approaching the student affairs building behind him an imaginary light bulb lit up above his head.

He had one last crazy idea.

Maybe.

Just maybe...

If he took off his clothes, attacked the NPCs, and did some inappropriate things for reasons beyond his control, wouldn't some kind of warning go to the game admins?

After all he was a desperate player, and it wasn't his fault for being trapped in the game for so long.

This idea had nothing to the fact that these NPC girls were very beautiful and had revealing sexy school uniforms.

It was all a means to exit the game.

Orion definitely wanted to try this idea for very innocent reasons.

After thinking about this idea for a few seconds, Orion decided he wasn't that desperate yet and started heading back to his dorm.

He didn't want to admit he was scared but he still got one last look at the clearly visible breasts of one of the girls and sighed.

My crazy idea should wait for now.

Although he shelved this idea for now, he named his crazy idea "The Desperate Horse's Last Attack."

He was usually good at naming things, but he couldn't instantly improvise anything better at that moment.

Feeling his mood lift a bit Orion smiled and walked a few steps.

Just as he was about to make another joke to himself, something very strange happened.

His stomach rumbled!

Huh?!!

He looked down and rubbed his stomach with his hand. Then he checked his throat and tongue.

He was both hungry and thirsty.

I'm hungry? And in a game?

Who adds hunger and thirst features to a game?

He had so many questions to ask about the game. In fact, his questions were increasing rather than decreasing.

Orion started walking towards his dorm, internally trying not to think about some bad possibilities he was constantly trying to forget.

He didn't want to think about bad things like usual.

Stay positive for now. Everything will be fine.

He kept telling himself small lies.

..

When Orion returned to his dorm, he put the thick folder he was still carrying and the small note paper he had received from Samuel on his bed. Then he started exploring the entire dorm floor.

He was hoping to find a hidden game exit point or a special easter egg by exploring everywhere.

The desperation and unknowns were truly agonizing in those moments.

This top floor was giant. After the last steps the first thing you see was the front place that looked like a dorm corridor before entering the house part.

The front lobby was half the size of the main living area and had many functions. For example, he could access a few outside rooms without passing through the main door and entering his own house section.

In the centre, there was a mailbox and a few other small things. One big weird place put in the middle of the hallway. It looked like a cage for an animal, but Orion couldn't understand its function.

BDSM?

He walked around the cage for a few minutes and finally started laughing.

Did they make this to use when we order animals from Am*zon? And it's next to the mailbox.

There were other things around the whole dorm and he couldn't figure out what they were for. But for now, he focused on things that were functional or interesting. Maybe he could find the exit accidently around an empty room.

Orion didn't get stuck in a game every day. He was improvising.

A huge room with several full cabinets was immediately to the left of the stairs. He entered here first and found all kinds of covers, sheets, towels, and bathrobes. There were some of these in the bathroom side of the house section too, but this part held more spares or extras.

In different storage cabinets there were also many spices and food ingredients, including expensive and high-quality soaps, shampoos, and incense sticks.

Don't these go bad?

He wandered through these rooms and in one of them, he saw something that looked very much like the massage devices found in shopping malls.

I definitely have to try this. It doesn't look like it works with money either.

He had seen and envied people getting pedicures with using massage devices. It looked so comfy in movies. He was curious what it would feel like.

Then he turned the corner and found a huge sports room where the exercise equipments was randomly placed and covered up.

Although the lighting was terrible, it looked manageable during the day thanks to the windows. But the room lacked the gas lamps found even in the other storage rooms. The Orion remembered that he had never been to a gym in his entire life. He closed the door of the sports room with a smile.

It's not like you work out all day and night. Don't be an idiot and focus.

Orion was understanding the real meaning of having an entire penthouse floor to himself. He hadn't fully grasped it when Thalia told him or even when he slept here last night.

But now, as he walked around inside, he realized he was in true luxury.

There were two huge kitchens if he wanted to cook. Two fully equipped and ready to use kitchens!

"Millionaires must be living in places like this." He muttered with envy.

Orion found a kitchen just a second before thinking about his life outside.

One of the kitchens was in the house section and the other was in this front lobby area outside. It was very strange to wander through the kitchens, both of which were filled with exaggerated details.

He was unhappy inside because he was someone who knew how to cook but never bothered to do it. Would he ever really take the time to try cooking now? He wasn't sure.

A few minutes later, Orion discovered something very useful that he hadn't used last night.

There was a huge double door at the main entrance of his house section. This was something that divided the penthouse floor exactly in two, protecting the house section from the outside. The huge metal lock at the back and a few other small locks gave a sense of security.

To sum up eveything; there was 1 gym, 2 kitchens (one outside), 1 laundry room, 3 relaxation rooms with very comfortable armchairs (one outside), 1 study room, 1 mini-library (plenty of books and magazines left in extra boxes inside), and two bedrooms. Besides these, there were also many empty but ready-to-use rooms in both the house and the outside sections corners.

If I rented this place out to 10 students, I'd probably be rich.

After exploring everything, he came to the main living room, which was integrated with his bedroom, and approached the huge balcony that opened to the outside.

He grabbed the thick folder from the bed and opened the balcony doors.

First, let me examine this file then I'll go down to the dining hall to eat.

He still didn't know what kind of absurdity he was in. But if he couldn't escape this damn game as easily as he thought, he would probably need to get help from the outside.

His family was out of town, and he didn't have a close friend, girlfriend, or neighbour he was talking to at that moment.

Will I die if they don't come home and save me from this game?

Orion opened the folder hastily while dealing with both headache and hunger.

Can I exit the game if I choose a protector from this file?

But what else is left to try, right.

The first page had a woman's face in a front picture, followed by her personal information and history written below.
