Chapter 25 - The First Strategy

The night before he was to begin his newest quest, Joon sat cross-legged on his bed, laptop open, notepad on one side, green pen tapping anxiously.

Quest Active: Strategic Depth

Objective: Execute a multi-phase trade:

Buy on a confirmed dip.

Hold for at least 5 days.

Exit in 3 stages: 30%, 30%, 40%.

Reward: +80 XP

Unlocks: Trade Journal feature

"Emotionally pressured," Joon muttered. "Yeah, no kidding."

This wasn't a simple "buy and wait" situation. The System was now demanding timing, discipline, and execution—all the things amateur traders usually failed at.

He spent hours studying charts—not trying to predict, but trying to react intelligently.

By midnight, his notes had three pages filled with arrows, technical terms he'd just learned, and one company circled three times in green:

Dongjin Motors – a mid-size electric scooter manufacturer.

They'd recently had a dip in stock price due to quarterly earnings coming in slightly under projections. But from all Joon could see, the fundamentals were still solid—and the EV industry was only heating up.

The next morning, the market opened.

Joon didn't pounce right away. He waited for the first hour, watching price movement.

Then he saw it—a small drop early on, then a clear bounce with volume.

His gut fluttered, but his mind clicked into place.

"Dip confirmed. Step one."

Purchase: Dongjin Motors – 100 shares at ₩2,050 = ₩205,000

Remaining Capital: ₩14,800

System Notification: Step 1 Complete – Bought on dip

Phase 1 of Quest Complete

Step 2: Hold for at least 5 days

He took a deep breath. No turning back.

For the next five days, Joon went into observation mode.

He wasn't just looking at Dongjin's chart—he was looking at why it moved.

He watched EV news, battery tech reports, even government infrastructure spending.

He also journaled emotionally—recording how he felt when the price dipped or surged.

System Tip: Emotional awareness improves decision quality.

One evening, on Day 3, the stock dropped to ₩1,980. He lost ₩7,000 in value.

Old Joon might've panicked.

But now?

He breathed.

"This is within normal volatility," he told himself. "No fundamental change."

He held.

On Day 5, Dongjin popped.

A news article revealed the company signed a supply agreement with a Korean delivery app startup for 3,000 e-scooters.

The stock rose steadily to ₩2,200.

Joon didn't flinch.

He waited for the close of Day 5.

Then, he opened the system window.

System Notification: Step 2 Complete – Held for 5 days

Next Objective: Execute 3-part exit strategy.

Sell 30%, 30%, 40% over 3 different days.

Joon gritted his teeth. This was the hardest part. Not the buy, not the hold—but the sell.

He opened the trading app.

Step 1: Sell 30 shares @ ₩2,200 = ₩66,000

Capital: ₩14,800 → ₩80,800

System Notification: First Exit Phase Complete

He held the remaining 70 shares and waited two more days.

On Day 7, the price surged again to ₩2,290.

Step 2: Sell 30 shares @ ₩2,290 = ₩68,700

Capital: ₩80,800 → ₩149,500

System Notification: Second Exit Phase Complete

Joon now had just 40 shares left. The final batch.

He waited.

On Day 9, the price hit ₩2,360.

He knew he might miss the peak. But this was the plan.

He opened his app and finalized it.

Step 3: Sell 40 shares @ ₩2,360 = ₩94,400

Capital: ₩149,500 → ₩243,900

System Notification: Final Exit Phase Complete

It wasn't for others. Just for him.

He wrote:

Trade Summary: Dongjin Motors – 9-day hold, 3 exits, total gain ₩38,000

Entry Reason: Bounce confirmation + strong sector fundamentals

Emotional Note: Nearly sold early on Day 3. Glad I didn't.

Lesson: Plan > Emotion

As he saved the entry, the system chimed again.

System Notification: Reflection Bonus+5 XP for Journal Use

XP: 285 → 290 / 500

He felt it—how far he'd come from the boy reading manhwa in bed, wishing for a system.

Now, he wasn't just dreaming.

He was operating.

And step by step, he was learning to master the game of life—one trade, one plan, one chapter at a time.
