The light wrapped around my ankles before spiraling upward, transforming my frilly pajamas into a comfortable ivory-colored dress. My unkempt hair fluttered in a nonexistent breeze before tumbling around my shoulders, as fresh as if it had been freshly washed. I checked my reflection in the mirror quickly and, satisfied, kicked off my slippers to pull on proper shoes.
“Miu, could you come here for a moment?” I called.
The window flew open a moment later as Miu’s broad head shoved its way through the small frame. He’d been growing rapidly over the past four months, to the point where my hand couldn’t span the entirety of one of his scales anymore. As a result, he often felt cramped while in his human form and had taken to frequenting the hills of Sorent as a dragon to relieve the feeling. While the villagers had been frightened by the sight of the massive creature circling their tiny town at first, they had quickly grown accustomed to seeing him around.
