Chapter 62 - Chapter 62: Selling the Entire Rogue Town

Rogue Town was a large and prosperous town, both before and after Smoker's arrival.

Before Smoker came, there was a delicate balance between pirates and the navy. The pirates used this place as a transit station and spent a lot of money there, creating a lot of economic opportunities.

After Smoker came, although there were no pirates, there was much less chaos, which also promoted business vitality and added a lot of shops here.

Following Sager's rules, the pirates did not attack the civilians living in the small building. In fact, they looked down on such people and thought there were better things waiting for them to rob.

The expensive clothes in the clothing store were rushed into by the pirates in prison uniforms, who came out with a lot of well-made clothes. Some of them even changed clothes on the spot, took off their prison uniforms, and put them on in strange ways without caring whether the styles of the clothes were suitable or not.

All the weapons in the weapon shop that cost hundreds of thousands or even millions of berries were taken out by them. The tall pirate who was about three meters tall and had half of his tongue cut off, even chose a huge sword that matched his height, and fought against the marines who came to fight. With just one swing of his sword, he chopped down several marines.

Of course the naval base is not just composed of the navy at the port. There are also some navy that did not have time to provide support or go back to adjust their equipment. Now that they see the pirates attacking, they will of course come to stop them, but in terms of numbers, they are no match for Sag and his group of pirates.

While fighting with the navy, the pirates continued to rob in Rogue Town. In addition to clothes and weapons, of course the most important thing was the jewelry store, which was what they should rob the most.

From time to time, you can see a dozen or twenty pirates breaking down the door of a jewelry store, looting all the jewels inside, and laughing loudly with jewels hanging all over their hands, necks, and bodies.

Here they have everything they want, and they can give all their 600-plus men a complete makeover.

"Let's stop here. We can count the spoils later when we're done. Lily, you should go move around a bit too. When girls go shopping, don't they pick out something nice?"

Of course, Sager himself did not participate in the robbery. He got half of the loot anyway, and he could not hold much spoils with his hands, so it was just right to give it to his men.

"I'm not really interested. As long as I get my share, that's enough," Lily said.

She is a cadre, so she will get a share of the profits even if she does not participate in the robbery, and she herself is not that keen on robbery.

Except for Ajin who was quite conscientious, the other cadres seemed to be indifferent about the matter. Renetia was also not very interested in the treasure. After arriving in the town, she went to select useful equipment.

Marika was interested in the local food supplies and went to the food market.

And Lily stayed with Sager.

"But you, Sager, what are we going to do?" Lily asked.

"Of course, I'm looking for information."

Sager stopped at the entrance of a dark alley and said with a smile: "It used to be a gathering place for pirates. It has only been stable for a few years. Many things still exist, such as this place..."

He pointed to a plaque with a wine glass protruding from the alley. "Like this old tavern, it's located in such a dark place. It's obvious that it was a place where pirates often gathered in the past. For example, this one."

Just as he was speaking, he suddenly paused, looked at the words under the plaque and stammered, "Well, this."

"Goldo Roger."

Lily read out, "A tavern named after the Pirate King."

"Yes, that's it, go in!"

Sager nodded, took Lily into the alley, pushed open the small wooden door, and entered the tavern.

The popularity of this pub is certainly not one of it.

It's such a remote place, and the lighting is poor. It should be dark all year round. It's impossible for anyone to come here to drink.

The layout and decoration of the store are also rather old-fashioned, more like an old pub from 20 or 30 years ago. It is totally different from the bright and bustling bars of today, and certainly cannot attract customers in such a prosperous town.

And this kind of store is not for ordinary customers.

"Sorry, our store doesn't accept you."

The old man who was wiping the wine glasses at the bar heard the noise, turned around and was about to speak, but when he saw the white hair of the person who came, he subconsciously paused and glanced at the wall.

Of course they didn't know him, but that didn't stop the boss from recognizing the wanted poster on the wall. The poster also had this guy's wild laughter on it.

"Give me a good drink, not that lousy rum."

Sager said, found a place to sit down, and put his feet on the table.

Lily on the side thought about it, reached out and took out a gold coin and put it on the counter.

The old man took out a bottle of wine from the wine cabinet, added ice cubes and other wine to make a mixture, turning it into an orange-red color, and looked at Lily again, "Madam, you..."

"It's a lighter taste." Lily sat next to Sager and said after hearing this.

The old man nodded, mixed another glass of wine, put it on the tray, and placed it on their table. Then he said, "You are here at the wrong time. If you had come later, you could have come directly. Now that you have come here so blatantly, aren't you afraid of being surrounded and suppressed by the navy?"

"Isn't it normal for pirates to be surrounded and suppressed by the navy? As long as they are still pirates, they can't escape! Hohahahaha!"

Sager laughed, picked up the glass of orange-red liquid and drank it all, then suddenly froze and exhaled, "It's very strong, but it's really good wine!"

"oh"

The old man's eyes lit up and he said, "Were you also attracted by the name of One Piece? Are you interested in Roger's story? Norton Sager."

"No, not at all."

Sager shook his head. "I don't really like listening to other people's stories. I came to your place because I thought that an old tavern like yours must have had many regular customers. I wanted to look for some information."

"What information?" asked the old man.

"Help me contact the black market merchants. You will be rewarded."

Sager held the empty glass forward, "I want to sell them something."

How could a big town, especially a big town close to the Grand Line, a prosperous town where all kinds of people mixed together and pirates and navy officers mixed together a few years ago, not have black market merchants?

The things he robbed were of unknown origin and could not be exchanged for Baileys anywhere. Even if merchants would accept them, they would lower the price. Moreover, depending on the type of items, he had to find different merchants.

It would be better to sell them all to black market merchants and get rid of them directly.

In an old pub like this, there must be such things going on.

"Oh, what do you want to sell? Gold?" The old man was stunned for a moment, with a hint of nostalgia in his eyes, but he quickly returned to normal.

It's been a long time since I did something like this.

"It's not gold."

Sager bared his teeth at him, and his white teeth said something that made the old man sweat profusely,

"I want to sell the entire Rogue Town!"
