Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: The First Mission!

My teammates were surprised by Koga Sensei telling us that we had passed despite us disobeying his orders to not feed the Akimichi girl. Of course that was exactly what I was expecting to happen.

"They may have passed the test but I don't think they actually learned anything. That Yobei kid basically bullied the other's into following along with him. Maybe this test is flawed, maybe I didn't do it right. I should ask Kakashi later. Though now that I think about it, he's never even passed a single student before. He technically doesn't even have any experience being a sensei. Maybe I shouldn't be taking advice from him. He's always trying to get me to read some weird book too." Koga Sensei thought. "Well, either way I guess I can pass them for now."

"Hey come over here for a sec. I wanna talk to you." Koga Sensei said as he waived me over.

"What is it?" I asked.

"Between you and me, that lesson didn't go as I'd hoped it would." He told me.

"Yeah I can see that, but it's not my fault those two are a mess." I said.

"Yes, they certainly have their own issues." He said. "Though you have plenty of problems yourself." He thought. "The other two seem to listen to you, maybe you could help them work through their issues." He suggested.

"Nope, not interested. I'm not interested in babysitting a couple of brats. Pass, hard pass." I said. "While we're here, I've got a question for you. That Summoning Jutsu, is that your expertise would you say?" I asked him.

"Yes, I suppose so. Why do you ask? Oh, are you interested in learning it by chance?" He asked me.

"Yeah kind of." I replied.

"I could certainly help you. You can't summon my wolves because they're contracted to my clan, but I do have connections with the toad sages, and the snake sages, and even lady Katsuyu. Which one were you wanting to contract with?" He asked.

"I'm not really interested in contracting with animals. I was just curious about using Summoning Jutsu for weapons." I said.

"Oh I see, you do specialize in close range combat. Being able to carry weapons without being over encumbered would be good for you. Sure I can help you with that." Koga said.

Our team would go on to take on several low level missions that are typical for Gennin level ninja. Most missions went by fairly uneventfully considering that it was mostly just chasing cats and helping out old folks around the village. Until one day we received our first real mission.

"Alright guys, your mission today is to capture a wandering swordsman who's killed several people across the Land of Fire." Koga Sensei said. "This sounds like a dangerous mission, but it shouldn't be too bad. Considering, he's not actually a ninja himself he shouldn't give you any problems.

Koga Sensei then handed each of us a photo of the man that we were supposed to capture. Upon seeing the photo I couldn't help but to smile from ear to ear.

"Is everything alright?" Akari asked me.

"Yeah I'm fine. I just used to know someone who looked exactly like this is all." I said.

As I looked at the photograph I saw a man that looked like the spitting image of my comrade from my last life. Ducet "Thousand Winds" Charlemagne. When I saw him I knew. I knew that I'd be in store for a brilliant battle.

We then set out for our mission. Koga Sensei told us that we would do this mission without him. He would basically leave us to handle the mission by ourselves. We eventually tracked him down, and when we did we observed him while we hid in the woods.

"He probably can't sense our presence since he's not a ninja. I say we just jump out and attack him. He shouldn't be a match for us." Kenny said confidently.

"No, you're wrong. He's strong way too strong for any of you to handle." I said.

"What are you talking about? He can't even use any kind of Jutsu. He's just a regular swordsman." Kenny replied.

"Just watch, you two sit back and see what happens when I fight him." I said.

"What should we do?" Akari asked shyly.

"Just stay out of the way of my fight." Is what I wanted to say. "Just stay back and observe my battle. I trust you guys to make a move when the time is right." Is what I actually said. I didn't really trust them to do much of anything, but I just told them something that I thought would keep them from interfering with my fight for the longest amount of time.

I then directed a massive amount of bloodlust towards the Charlemagne look alike and he immediately had a grin crack across his face from ear to ear as I jumped out of the tree line to confront him.

"I've noticed someone watching me for sometime now. I ignored it because I'm not interested in cowards who hide themselves in the trees, but you have a good battle aura. I think I can play with you." He said. "But then again it looks like you're shaking. Are you losing your nerve and getting scared boy?" He asked me.

"No, not at all. You just remind me of someone I used to know. If you're as half as strong as him I know I'm in for a great fight. My body is trembling with excitement." I said with a grin from ear to ear.

His eyes widened and so did his grin. "That's what I like to hear. Let's go boy!" He said as he drew his sword and charged me.

I grabbed three scrolls from my pack, and unfurled two.

"Summoning Jutsu!....."
