Chapter 5 - The Quiz of the Century Begins!

"What is Red Hair talking about?"

Everyone who saw this scene on the giant screen was puzzled.

On the deck of the Moby Dick, Whitebeard chuckled softly.

So it turns out Red Hair lost his arm because of that little devil?

But who was that boy? Who was worthy of Red Hair risking his life—and even giving up his left arm?

"Red Hair... it was you who set Luffy on the path of a pirate..." whispered Garp, eyes clouded with regret.

He had once hoped to mold Luffy into the strongest Marine soldier, someone who could rival the legends.

But the moment Shanks appeared, Luffy's dreams shifted. He began yearning for the freedom of a pirate's life—and from that moment, his path was sealed.

Far away, on the East Blue, aboard the Going Merry, the Straw Hat Pirates were in shock.

Most of them never knew.

Luffy had never spoken about what really happened that day.

"Shanks... don't worry. I'm the man who will become the Pirate King!"

Luffy shouted at the image on the giant screen, fists on his hips and eyes blazing with determination.

He would never let Shanks down.

The Straw Hats around him felt the same.

"Luffy! You really knew one of the Four Emperors that well?"

Usopp slapped Luffy's back in amazement.

To think their small crew had a connection to someone as powerful as Red Haired Shanks.

"Luffy! I'll help you become Pirate King, no matter what!"

Zoro, seated cross-legged on the deck, stated with quiet conviction.

Back in Mary Geoise, in the World Conference Hall, Saint Charlos struggled back into his seat.

Face still bloodied, glass shards embedded in his skin, he attempted again to place a replacement dome over his head—but it refused to work.

He sat defeated and humiliated.

His heart burned with fury.

If he ever found out who dared to humiliate him like this, he would personally have the Navy tear them apart!

Then the mechanical voice returned:

[The live Q&A will officially begin next. Each pirate crew or individual will be placed into separate camps. You may also choose to act independently.]

[Points will be awarded for each correct answer based on the question's difficulty. The person or group with the highest points will receive unique rewards.]

[The first round will be a Quick Response format. Answer incorrectly, and not only will you face punishment, but you'll lose your right to answer the next question!]

[This round's prize: a piece of Intelligence Historical Text!]

Upon hearing this, the mood in the hall shifted.

Everyone began to realize the stakes.

This wasn't about manpower—it was a battle of wits, of information, and of speed.

And the reward? Absolutely irresistible.

Though not a Poneglyph coordinate, the Intelligence Text promised access to classified knowledge—and knowledge meant power.

Many pirate groups had long chased after even scraps of this kind of intel. To gain one freely… was a prize they couldn't ignore.

The giant screen broadcast live to every corner of the sea. From the Four Blues to the Grand Line, pirates, Marines, revolutionaries, and kings all held their breath.

At the end of the Grand Line, Raftel—the mysterious island Roger reached—still remained an unreachable mystery.

Even the possibility of finding a clue about it made this quiz invaluable.

Many eyes lit up with ambition.

The Navy Headquarters, however, felt unease creeping in.

At Marineford, Fleet Admiral Sengoku paced restlessly.

"Raftel… the Void Century… Those cannot be exposed. If this information gets out, it will shake the foundation of the world."

He picked up a Den Den Mushi and made a secure call.

"Garp, this situation is spiraling out of control. If it gets worse, I'm coming to Mary Geoise myself. Until then, you're the only one who can control this!"

Garp ended the call in silence, face unreadable.

Then came a voice—unexpected and comical:

[Buggy: Hey, I've got a question! Can people who aren't at the World Conference also join this quiz?]

Buggy's comment popped up across the giant screen.

At that moment, Buggy was sailing across the East Blue, eyes wide with ambition.

There was no way he would miss out on something like this.

After all, he was The Great Captain Buggy!

[The live broadcast is synchronized globally. Even if you're not physically at the World Conference, you can still join and answer with the same rights as those on-site!]

[Now, Round 1 of the Live Quiz Begins!]

As the ethereal voice faded, the giant screen flickered, preparing to display the first question.
