Chapter 16 - Chapter 16: The Fall of the Apostle and the Shadow of the True Master

Li Wei moved with determination through the labyrinth of the heroin factory, the din of battle echoing behind him. His Helldivers and Super Earth Elite Soldiers were containing the League of Villains. Dabi and Toga fought with desperate ferocity, but the discipline and superior weaponry of Li Wei's troops were taking their toll. The rage, helplessness, and contempt Li Wei had experienced in his past life now channeled into every step, every order, every shot. Shigaraki, the apostle of chaos, was the embodiment of the corruption Lin Jian represented, and Li Wei would strike him down.

"Commander, Shigaraki has been detected in the main chamber on the lower level. His Quirk's reading is extremely unstable. Proceed with extreme caution," Aegis warned, its voice rarely showing such a pronounced sign of warning.

Li Wei didn't stop. He smashed through a reinforced steel door, the sound of tearing metal echoing in the sudden silence of the corridor. The main chamber was a vast, cavernous space, filled with experimental machinery and a depressing atmosphere. In the center, standing on a pile of rubble, was Tomura Shigaraki. His body, normally covered in hands, now showed a cleaner appearance, but his bloodshot eyes glowed with a cold madness.

"So it's you," Shigaraki hissed, his voice hoarse, with a tone of resentment that Li Wei recognized. "The intruder who interferes with our plans. The one who brings ridiculous 'order' to a world about to crumble." His gloved hands clenched. "You won't stop me. Hero society is a farce. And I am its end."

First-Person Account: Shigaraki's presence was overwhelming; the very air seemed to corrode around him. I saw his hands, the way his fingers twitched, knowing that a single touch would mean annihilation. This wasn't a fistfight, nor a duel of Quirks. It was a test of will. "The order I bring is freedom," I retorted, my voice resonating with a conviction I felt deep in my bones. "And freedom doesn't disintegrate."

The Duel of Corrosion and Steel:

Shigaraki lunged. His Quirk, Decay, wasn't limited to a touch; he could now spread his disintegration across surfaces, turning the ground, walls, even the air around him into dust. Li Wei moved with superhuman agility, dodging the waves of disintegration, his Helldiver boots activating thrusters to jump and evade.

He fired his Helldiver rifle, energy bursts cutting through the air. Shigaraki, surprisingly agile, dodged them or deflected them with bursts of disintegration that turned the bullets to dust. It was a deadly ballet, a dance between creation and destruction.

"Commander, Shigaraki's Quirk signature is increasing. Suggestion: Prioritize physical contact. His Quirk requires contact for complete disintegration," Aegis reported, its voice emotionless.

Li Wei knew. If he could get close, if he could land a critical blow, he could neutralize him. But Shigaraki was elusive; his madness made him unpredictable. The factory began to disintegrate around them, clouds of dust and debris falling from the ceiling.

At a crucial moment, Shigaraki extended his hand, his Quirk activating on the ground beneath Li Wei's feet. A crack of disintegration spread rapidly. Li Wei jumped, but not in time. A small portion of the ground under his foot disintegrated, and the shockwave threw him against a wall. The impact was brutal; his armor resonated, but he stood up, his determination unwavering.

The Final Blow:

Li Wei saw an opening. Shigaraki, confident in his Quirk, approached, extending his hand for a definitive touch.

Third-Person Account: Li Wei didn't back down. In a fluid movement, he pulled a Stun Grenade from his belt and threw it directly at Shigaraki's feet. The blinding, deafening explosion made the villain stumble, his eyes squeezed shut. It was the moment Li Wei needed.

With explosive speed, Li Wei lunged at Shigaraki, his rifle ready. Instead of firing, he struck. With a brutally effective rifle butt strike, he impacted Shigaraki's hand, causing him to drop one of the hands from his face. Then, he spun and delivered a devastating knee to the villain's abdomen, followed by a precise blow to the jaw with the rifle butt. Shigaraki fell to the ground, convulsing, his Quirk flickering wildly before going out.

"Primary Objective: Neutralization of Tomura Shigaraki – Completed," Aegis declared. "The League of Villains is in disarray. Local UA heroes have been notified. Stabilization of this universe has been successful."

The Shadow of the True Master

Li Wei approached Shigaraki's unconscious body, breathing heavily. He had done it. He had defeated the apostle of chaos. The satisfaction was immense, a personal victory as profound as any other.

But then, Aegis activated an alert. "Commander, unknown, massive energy signature! Unexpected dimensional breach. Location: Shigaraki's coordinates. This is an Alpha-Level interference."

A violent black fissure opened in the air, directly above Shigaraki's body. From it, a deep, guttural voice, filled with ancient, cosmic malice, resonated. "Shigaraki! My successor! Who... who dares to touch you?"

From the fissure emerged a colossal figure, its silhouette dark and its face covered in scars. It was All For One. Not the All For One of the prisons, but a more imposing, more vital version, perhaps from a temporal point where he still possessed all his power and freedom.

The air grew heavy, oppressive. Li Wei felt the pressure, a force that far surpassed any Quirk he had faced in this world. It was the power of a minor god, the true master of darkness.

All For One saw Li Wei, his single eye glowing with incomprehensible fury. "You. You are the one who interferes with my plans. You are the one who harms my precious disciple. You will die here!"

Li Wei barely had time to react. All For One extended an arm, and a blast of invisible force, composed of multiple fused Quirks, struck him with blinding speed. It wasn't a disintegration attack, but pure, concentric force, designed to crush.

First-Person Account: The impact was catastrophic. I felt every bone in my body vibrate, my Helldiver armor creaked under the pressure. I was thrown across the room, a human projectile, my vision turned white. The pain was unbearable, burning every nerve. My armor deformed, my helmet cracked. Hot blood ran from my mouth. There was no time to activate any counterattack. The force of that Quirk was something my body, even with the armor, couldn't withstand. I crashed against a distant wall, the impact echoing throughout the factory. Everything went black.

"Commander, critical injuries. Multiple system failure. Warning! Host is in mortal danger!" Aegis's voice was a distorted lament through the static.

All For One looked at Li Wei's body, shattered amidst the rubble, then turned to pick up Shigaraki. "You will pay for this, insolent one," he roared, his voice a promise of annihilation. With a final flash of dark energy, he and Shigaraki vanished, leaving Li Wei dying in the ruined factory.

"Failure in primary mission: neutralization of Alpha-Level existential threat. Commander, your vital signs are collapsing. Activating emergency extraction protocol. Probability of survival is... 0.00001%."

The Fortress of Justice appeared in orbit around the planet. A beam of blue light shot down, enveloping Li Wei's broken body and teleporting him back. Revenge had been sweet, but the lesson had been brutal. There was a level of power and evil that his rage alone could not overcome. He had underestimated the true monster behind the masks.
