Chapter 24: Battle with the Devil
Suddenly, the witch's movements froze. It turned out that Carter's long whip was tightly entangled around her thick neck.
At the same time, Johnny's iron chain, like a steel python, firmly wrapped around the witch's waist.
The two gritted their teeth and pulled with all their might.
However, they could only reluctantly control the witch's demon, which just gave Wes time to cast a spell.
"Divine Wind, No Shadow!"
"Crushing to the Ground!"
"Flame!"
"Nympho!"
A series of spells rang out like a rapid-fire gun, a variety of incantations recited in quick succession. Even black magic, typically regarded as taboo, was unhesitatingly unleashed upon the witch.
Though the damage caused by each of these spells alone was not high, together, they were incredibly insulting.
"@#@¥@¥"
A series of obscure demonic words and blasphemies poured from the witch's mouth.
Wes was well-prepared and, at this moment, remained unaffected by the demonic language.
However, Carson, who was observing the commotion from a distance, was suffering.
He felt a sudden dizziness, the scene before him began to blur, his body gradually lost control, and he trembled involuntarily.
Immediately afterward, he began to repeat the same sentence as the witch.
"Sober up, Carson!"
"Carson!"
No matter how Nickfred shouted in his headphones, Carson's body continued to tremble, and a strange blackness appeared in his eyes.
Seeing this, the old priest nearby hurriedly reached out and grabbed Carson's wrist. At the same time, he held a cross to Carson's forehead and began to recite mysterious scriptures.
With the chanting of the scriptures, Carson's body slowly stopped shaking.
Subsequently, the priest quickly opened the flask she carried, forced open Carson's mouth, and poured the contents inside.
"Gurgle ~"
"Gurgle ~"
Carson began to regain his sobriety, feeling as if his belly was being bruised by tens of thousands of ants.
"Ugh ~~"
He couldn't help but vomit, expelling a black liquid that emitted a pungent smell.
"Ha ~ haha ~ ha ~" "What's wrong with me?"
Carson panted, wiping the stains from the corner of his mouth.
"You have been polluted," the old priest said seriously.
"But I have no injury."
Carson was puzzled. He carefully checked his body but found no wounds.
"The language of the devil can pollute human souls and induce degradation of nature," the old priest explained patiently.
"Why are you unaffected?" Carson asked, puzzled.
The old priest used three fingers (thumb, index finger, and middle finger) to draw a cross from the bottom of his chest, from right to left, solemnly saying, "The Master of all power blesses me."
The old priest's explanation made Carson fear what might happen later, but he didn't forget his task: "Chief, it's not good for me here."
"Retreat, staying there is too dangerous for you," Nixefrey ordered decisively.
"Yes, sir." Carson opened the briefcase they carried, and several small drones instantly floated into the air.
After doing all this, Carson invited the old priest to leave together.
The old priest shook his head firmly: "I want to witness the contract with my own eyes. This is my mission."
At this time, the four people's fighting became more and more intense.
Carson left with a sentence: "I wish you good luck!"
Then he quickly drove away.
Wes's curses could only play a limited role in this fierce battle, and even his powerful black magic couldn't inflict fatal damage on the witch.
Wes regretted that he hadn't mastered the "Guardian Magic Mantra."
"Damn!" Carter was smashed to the ground by the witch's powerful might.
He struggled to stand up, but his chest was stepped on, and he couldn't move at all.
Johnny tightly wrapped the chain around his fist, struggling to throw a punch, but it was easily grasped by the witch with one hand.
The witch and the demon grinned, and with a loud "crack," Johnny's wrist was broken.
The witch kicked Carter ten meters away and then pressed Johnny's head into the soil.
Then, the witch elegantly straightened her collar, striding towards Wes like a proud noble.
Wes no longer hesitated and activated the magic array.
Within the magic array, fire began to burn, but the witch's demon strolled through it unharmed, the flames unable to hurt her at all.
"The flames of hell are much hotter than your little flames."
The witch raised her head, a trace of disdain on her face: "Warlock, is your head broken? You actually deal with a devil with flames."
Wes ignored her, concentrating solely on his spells.
The self-esteem of the ignored witch seemed to have been greatly stimulated: "Answer me, Warlock!!"
There was a sudden thunder in the sky, and lightning flickered.
[The string of numbers and characters seems to be a placeholder or an error from the original text and is removed here.]
The witch looked at her hands in confusion, a little puzzled. ["I don't seem to have the authority of thunder and lightning?" she thought.]
The thunder grew louder, and electric snakes danced wildly in the dark clouds.
"Thunder Roar!!!"
Wes raised his wand and waved it heavily.
"Crack!"
A dazzling lightning bolt accurately struck the demon.
"Ah!!!"
The witch screamed in pain.
Then, one after another, lightning continued to strike the witch, and she made every effort to resist, but the power of the mighty lightning still made her miserable.
The thunder gradually disappeared, and the dark clouds slowly dispersed, and the moon reappeared its bright face.
The moonlight sprinkled on the ground, like a layer of silver gauze.
At this time, the witch was scarred, and green smoke still rose from her body; she looked embarrassed.
"Warlock!! I want to draw your soul out for ten thousand years!!!"
At this point, Wes's magic power was almost exhausted, and he kept panting, but he sarcastically responded without fear: "Just by you, idiot?"
"Roar!!!" The witch roared in anger.
She stepped forward and stumbled at her feet, almost falling.
Obviously, her injuries were not minor.
Johnny and Carter positioned themselves in front of her.
"Wow ~" Carter said with exaggeration: "Look who this is? A grilled prawn."
"Khaka ~ Khaka ~ Kaka ~ Kaka." Johnny let out a weird laugh.
"How dare you insult me so much and insult the great Hell Prince!!"
The witch was enraged and spread out her hands, opening her mouth wide.
Dozens of souls suddenly emerged from the ground and surrounded her.
"Ha ~ Ha ~ You didn't expect it, there would be dead spirits here. When I absorb their strengths..."
"Stop him!" Wes shouted.
"It's late!!" The witch smiled proudly and swallowed the undead.
But before she could absorb the energy of the undead, these undead began to run rampant inside her body.
"What's going on? There are problems with these undead!"
The witch reacted, but it was too late.
The chain instantly entangled the witch, and Johnny stared at these undead: "Accelerate the trial!!"
The undead ignited; dozens of undead souls surged within the witch's body, bringing the flames of trial to all parts of her.
"Why?? Why did you judge me without a soul?"
The witch was screaming, her voice full of despair.
"Idiot, no soul does not mean the fire will not burn."
Wes said: "Don't you have such common sense?"
"Can~~~de~~~Warlock~~" The witch reached out to catch Wes.
But just as she was about to touch Wes, she was burned to ash and completely disappeared in the wind.
