"Have you heard? Wind Rakshasa is going to duel the Child of God!"
"For real? Aren't the Nine Great Rakshasas forbidden from using their authority to force anyone into accepting a duel?"
"You're overthinking it. You Feng challenged him of his own accord!"
"Holy crap, he's that bold? I thought that guy was all talk, but he actually dared to do it?"
"Quit gossiping and hurry to the Wind Duel Training Ground, or we won't even be able to squeeze in!"
The news spread through the academy like wildfire, catching everyone completely off guard. Students gifted with all kinds of elemental affinities surged toward the Wind Duel Training Ground in droves.
Fortunately, the venue was immense; otherwise, it could never have accommodated such a massive crowd.
"Make way! Make way for the Rakshasa Lords!" Several students shouted, clearing the crowd. The moment the onlookers realized the other Rakshasas had arrived, they parted like the sea to open a path.
Seven Great Rakshasas took their places in the spectator stands, escorted to seats specially arranged for them. The remaining students had to either sit on the floor or remain standing.
"To think they're already throwing down on the very first day. And I heard You Feng was the one who initiated it? I got so startled that I tossed my facial mask aside just to rush over here." Water Rakshasa blinked her bright, limpid eyes.
"There's not much suspense in this battle. Wind Rakshasa's strength lies in his incredible flexibility," Flame Rakshasa scoffed, crossing his arms over his chest.
"To be honest, I never imagined anyone would have the guts to challenge a Rakshasa on day one. A newborn calf really knows no fear. Just because he holds an Egyptian God Card, he dares to pick a fight with a Rakshasa? Well, that courage is at least worthy of respect..." Earth Rakshasa shrugged, blowing a bubble with his chewing gum.
"Word is that this time, he doesn't plan to use his Egyptian God Card deck," Light Rakshasa said softly. A blindfolded goddess, she appeared utterly sacred in the eyes of all around her.
"Hmph... He's just terrified of losing his Egyptian God Card, so he wants to test a Rakshasa's might with another deck first. Did he really think I couldn't see through such a cheap trick?" Dark Rakshasa remarked dismissively.
"I have a feeling this You Feng isn't as simple as you think," Demon Rakshasa said, shaking his head.
"No matter what he tries, he'll fall into my trap sooner or later," Thunder Rakshasa sneered with a bizarre chuckle.
The mere presence of a single Rakshasa was enough to command reverence from the surrounding students, let alone almost all of them gathered in one place.
Naturally, the Student Council President, God Rakshasa, had not shown up. In a way, that was a relief; had that terrifying figure arrived in person, the pressure would have been truly suffocating.
By this time, You Feng and Wind Rakshasa had already stepped onto the center of the dueling arena.
You Feng slid his deck into the Egyptian God Duel Disk.
"If you rely on your Egyptian God Card, you can prepare yourself for defeat..."
Wind Rakshasa drew his duel disk and slotted his own deck into place.
"My turn! I'll take the first move!" Wind Rakshasa glanced at his opening hand of five cards and made his choice in a flash. His execution was blisteringly fast, living up to his reputation of pushing tactics to their absolute limits.
"When I control no monsters on my field, I can Special Summon Speedroid Terrortop from my hand!" Wind Rakshasa slammed the card down with a flashy, theatrical flourish. Figures of the Rakshasa tier paid immense attention not only to tactical depth, but also to dramatic style, knowing full well what poses looked the coolest while slinging cards.
A chain of spinning tops linked together and clattered across the arena floor.

"When this card is successfully Special Summoned, I can add one Speedroid monster from my deck to my hand, other than this card. The one I choose to add is Speedroid Taketomborg!"
He flashed the card briefly before continuing without a beat.
"Furthermore, when I control a WIND monster on my field, I can Special Summon this card from my hand! In Defense Position, I Special Summon Speedroid Taketomborg!"
With a broad wave of his arm, a mechanical dragonfly buzzing with energy materialized onto the field.

"Here it comes! Wind Rakshasa's signature, ultimate Synchro setup is underway... The element of wind is all about sheer speed and boundless agility.
I don't think anyone can display that speed and flexibility to greater perfection than Wind Rakshasa!" Water Rakshasa propped her sleek chin in her hand, smiling faintly.
"After all, throughout our history, Wind Rakshasa holds the record for ending matches the quickest. A WIND deck is the absolute progenitor of rush aggro," Earth Rakshasa muttered coolly, popping his bubble gum once more.
Author's Note: Some suggested giving Wind Rakshasa a burn or deck-out stall strategy, but anyone who rises to the rank of a Rakshasa cannot be playing a casual, gimmick deck.
A gimmick deck sacrifices too much consistency and raw power to guarantee true top-tier strength. To be called a Rakshasa,
a duelist must command absolute deck strength, and it must harmonize with their element. Wind embodies the pinnacle of speed and fluid flexibility, which makes this archetype the perfect fit.
