Kimi's POV
I rushed to my mother's side, my heart hammering against my ribs. "Mom, what's going on?"
The color drained from her face when she saw me. Her trembling fingers wrapped around my wrist like a lifeline.
"Show respect to your Alpha and Luna immediately. We're leaving this instant," she whispered urgently, her voice barely controlled.
Confusion clouded my thoughts as I bowed respectfully to Alpha Sean and Luna Valencia. Gamma Felix stood nearby, his expression unreadable in the tense atmosphere.
"If this is truly your decision, we won't stand in your way," Alpha Sean addressed my mother with measured words.
Luna Valencia's disappointment was written across her features. Her eyes found mine with an intensity that made my stomach clench.
"You're always welcome here, child."
I managed a nod before my mother bowed hastily and practically dragged me from the pack house.
"Mom, please tell me what's happening." "Some things are better left unknown, Kimi."
