Kimi rolled her eyes and slid into the passenger seat. Alvin settled behind the wheel, his hands gripping the steering wheel with practiced ease.
Before turning the ignition, he reached into the backseat and retrieved a small black box. "What is it?" Kimi asked, eyeing the package with curiosity.
"Something for you. Go ahead, open it."
She lifted the lid to reveal a pair of designer sunglasses, their dark lenses reflecting the morning light. The frames were sleek and sophisticated, nothing like her usual oversized glasses.
"I figured you might default back to those thick frames again, so I picked these up for you."
Kimi slipped the sunglasses on and turned toward him. "How do I look?"
