Kolton had convinced himself that Kimi meant nothing to him. Yet the moment he spotted a familiar face turning toward her direction, something twisted in his chest.
"Heath, you sitting down or what?" The question came from one of the boy's companions.
Heath. Kolton's jaw tightened as recognition hit him. He knew that name from somewhere around campus. His eyes narrowed as he studied the group of boys more closely. University students, definitely from his school. Rich kids who should have been riding in luxury cars, not cramming into public transportation.
Kolton shrugged and turned back toward the window, but his attention sharpened when Heath's voice carried over the bus chatter.
"Actually, I think I'll grab that spot over there." Heath pointed directly toward the empty seat beside Kimi.
