Kimi rolled her eyes in exasperation before approaching Bennett at the entrance. She caught Alvin's response to Kolton drifting through the air.
"He's Kimi's friend. Obviously, he's here to see her."
Bennett's gaze swept across Alvin and his companions, lingering deliberately on Kolton with an unreadable expression.
"Bennett, hey there," Kimi greeted him with a bright smile.
Bennett shifted his attention from Kolton to Kimi, and his expression transformed completely. He seemed genuinely struck by her appearance, his eyes widening slightly.
"Hey yourself. You look ready to head out. Maybe we should actually leave and grab that coffee elsewhere?"
