Chapter 15 - THE CHIEF PRIEST 3

CHAPTER FIFTEEN: THE CHIEF PRIEST 3

The next day, the villagers were met with a gruesome sight. The young man who had disobeyed the chief priest's warning was found dead, tied to a tree. The majority of the villagers knew about the warning, and they shook their heads in dismay. "This is the result of his own disobedience," they whispered to each other. "He signed his own fate with his recklessness."

Meanwhile, the chief priest was attending a grand celebration in the village. A rich woman, who had just acquired a car, had invited the entire village to join in her joy. The woman, however, had an ulterior motive for the gathering. She wanted to humiliate her husband in front of the entire village.

The woman had been the breadwinner of the family since she married her husband, and she resented him for it. She saw him as a burden, a liability that she couldn't get rid of. But she was afraid of her children's reaction, as they loved their father dearly. So, she had devised a plan to use the celebration as a way to turn her children against their father.

As the villagers gathered at the celebration venue, the rich woman cleared her throat and smiled sweetly at the crowd. She began to speak, her voice dripping with sarcasm and malice. "My dear friends and family, I am so grateful to have all of you here today to celebrate my success. But I must say, I couldn't have done it without the support of my... loving husband."

The woman's tone was laced with venom, and the villagers exchanged uneasy glances. They knew that something was amiss, but they didn't know what to expect. The chief priest, however, watched the scene unfold with a keen eye. He knew that the woman's words were not just harmless jokes, but a carefully crafted plan to destroy her husband's reputation.
