Norman Osborn was at work. Waking up at five in the morning and leaving at nine at night had become his normal work routine. Unlike trust fund babies like Tony Stark, who could dump all his company affairs on Pepper Potts and not have to worry about a thing, Oscorp was a company that Norman had built from the ground up. Regardless of what anyone else said, he had a love for his company that surpassed his love for his own children.
Then, his phone rang.
"Hello, Peter? What's up?"
"To make a long story short, Mr. Osborn. An evil alien life form has bonded with Adrian Toomes. This alien life form has the ability to push human emotions and desires to the extreme and greatly enhances the human host. I'm worried that Adrian is coming for you, so you need to take shelter immediately."
Adrian has been bonded with an alien life form? The U.S. military's symbiote project?
Having some knowledge of what happened under the Hudson River and being well aware that Peter now possessed a symbiote suit, Osborn quickly figured out the gist of the situation. However, he laughed dismissively. "You don't need to worry, Peter. I am perfectly safe. My office..."
Norman, who had stood up and was laughing as he tried to reassure Peter, didn't finish his sentence. In the twilight, he vaguely saw a huge flying creature heading toward his office in the Oscorp Tower. When he saw the creature flap its wings and throw a few green feathers at him, his face changed color, and he instinctively ducked and covered his head. The reinforced glass, which could withstand machine gun fire, was suddenly pierced with several large holes. Norman, still in a state of shock, hung up the phone and called his A.I. butler.
"Green Goblin, get ready..."
The next moment, the reinforced glass was completely shattered. A monstrous figure covered in a symbiote and flapping its wings shrieked and looked at Norman Osborn, letting out a mocking laugh. "Prepare to die, Norman! Receive the judgment of the Vulture!"
"High-frequency sound waves!"
Unbearable high-frequency sound waves immediately filled the office. The symbiote on Adrian screamed in pain, slamming him into the wall. Norman covered his ears and bent down, quietly running out of the office. At that moment, he saw Adrian, who was flying wildly around the office. In the midst of the sound waves, Adrian temporarily broke free from the symbiote's control and pleaded with Norman.
"Help me... I can't get free..."
Norman watched Adrian's painful plea, hesitated for two seconds, then gritted his teeth and walked out of the office. As soon as he was out, he activated the emergency procedure at the door, completely sealing off his office. Thick metal walls dropped down, sealing the entire office. Then, Norman called the Oscorp Technologies' exclusive security force.
"A serious incident has occurred. Yes, I'm classifying it as a Class-1 Mutant incident. Immediately send combat personnel here, and prepare plenty of flamethrowers and sonic cannons."
Meanwhile, in Norman's office, Riot, who was much stronger than Venom, clearly had a greater resistance to sound waves. In his pain, he shot out feathers and whips, destroying all the speakers in the room, and then regained control of the body.
No, he had gained an even better, more complete control of the body. Although it came with some side effects, like his memories merging more deeply with those of the old man, everything was, overall, perfect.
Besides a deeper hatred for that human named Norman Osborn, there were no other problems.
He would just kill that human then.
And so, the Vulture spread his wings. Countless dark green symbiote feathers shot out, bombarding the metal wall like an endless machine gun and completely destroying it. He burst out of the room, sniffing for Norman Osborn's scent, and chased him all the way to the elevator. An elevator arrived, and as the doors opened, an entire elevator full of special ops soldiers pointed their weapons at the Vulture, ready to shoot.
Then, the Vulture swung a long symbiote whip, which pierced through the floor and cut the elevator cables. Before the soldiers could react, the entire elevator began to plummet rapidly.
But then, with a strange sound, the friction noise of the elevator rapidly falling disappeared. The Vulture, who had already turned to leave, turned back and saw the black-suited Spider-Man leaping out of the elevator shaft, holding a length of webbing connected to the elevator.
"Long time no see, Riot."
Peter said this while narrowing his eyes at the other party. "What, you grew wings and thought you could take me on?"
"Oh, long time no see, Venom—or should I say, Spider-Man. It's been about 24 hours, hasn't it?"
The Vulture laughed manically, then asked a question in return. "What else? Can you fly?"
Peter, of course, couldn't fly. In fact, his small talk with the Vulture was just a way to stall for time so the special ops team could escape safely. When he sensed that the weight of the elevator in his hand was no longer changing, Peter shrugged and retorted, "Maybe I can't fly, but it's enough to deal with you."
"You're very arrogant!"
The Vulture spread his wings and continuously shot out feathers. Peter nimbly dodged them with his Spider-Sense and quickly counterattacked. He webbed onto the Vulture's chest and pulled him toward himself. Regardless of whether Riot himself was stronger than Venom, Adrian was undoubtedly inferior to the S.H.I.E.L.D. agent from yesterday in terms of physical fitness, so in this fight, Peter actually had a strength advantage.
Realizing this, Peter decided to close the distance between them. But perhaps because of his symbiosis with Adrian, Riot's intelligence had also been greatly enhanced. Yes, I can't defeat the Venom Spider-Man in terms of strength (how embarrassing), but I have wings made by a gravity generator!
With just a thought, Riot changed the gravity generated by the gravity emitter. In an instant, Peter found that he couldn't hold onto the webbing in his hands. The webbing became very light and soft. He held on tightly to the webbing, but the next moment, accompanied by the Vulture's sharp laughter, Peter was lifted into the air. The Vulture then smashed through the ceiling and flew up high.
"All I need is one turn, and I can send you falling to your death, Spider-Man!"
"Yeah, yeah, I know you can fly." Peter nodded as if it were a matter of course. "That's why I brought a friend. How about you meet Johnny Storm?"
Before he could finish, a scorching wave of heat hit the Vulture in mid-air.
"Here's Johnny!"
