"You mean, you suddenly feel a surge of destructive desire, and during a fight, you actually start thinking about how to kill your enemies?"
Hearing this, Reed Richards looked at Peter in confusion. "Spider-Man, I think this is a psychological issue. Perhaps you should see a therapist."
"I know this sounds weird, Dr. Richards..."
The Thing, listening in, scratched his non-existent ear. What's so strange about someone thinking they're a psychopath just because they thought about killing? Wouldn't that mean every working person in the world is a psychopath? Few workers probably haven't fantasized about stabbing their boss.
Of course, Peter didn't mean it that way.
"What I mean is, you said before that the symbiote amplifies the host's desires. I thought that was okay, but the kind of thoughts I had today—they never happened before. These all appeared after Venom sealed Knull, and I definitely heard Knull's voice. Could it be related to them?"
Reed Richards frowned. Based on his molecular analysis of Venom, the symbiote hadn't undergone any significant changes. At least, from a scientific perspective, consuming Grendel didn't alter Venom.
"Afternoon, Spidey! What's going on?"
The Human Torch, finally encountering Spider-Man at the Baxter Building, walked over with a smile. After Reed briefly explained the situation, Johnny's expression also became very strange, but his focus was clearly elsewhere: "If you're having that kind of problem, why don't you go ask that sorcerer guy?"
Peter looked at Johnny and realized he had a very good point. So, a few minutes later, he arrived at the Sanctum Sanctorum, which had been almost completely torn down two days ago but was now fully repaired.
"Afternoon, Spider-Man. I assume you're not here to mooch a meal."
Before Peter could knock, Strange opened the door and welcomed him in. Once inside, Peter told Strange about the problem he was experiencing. Strange listened, then began to use the Eye of Agamotto on his chest to examine the situation.
"Strange... Knull's soul has entered a state of dormancy. Logically, you shouldn't be experiencing any problems. In fact, your condition should be better than before. It's highly unlikely for Knull to be able to tempt you."
After using the Eye of Agamotto to give Peter a thorough scan, Strange explained the current situation: "Hmm... it seems that before being completely consumed, he managed to corrupt a tiny bit of Venom with the Codex of Riot. It's not a major issue. As long as you're careful, it won't affect you."

Peter scratched his head again. Today was all about rushing around to different places. And as Strange had predicted, being a famously reckless god, Thor was even more cryptic than Strange on this matter.
"This is the Black King's nature. He will lure out the most terrifying and uncontrollable desires in every heart, thus causing corruption." Thor, who finally didn't call Peter "Spider," looked at him seriously. "Spider-Man, you must always be vigilant against Knull's temptations and make the right choices."
So, what else could Peter do?
Finally, he went to the X-Mansion.
"So, you're planning on letting Emma Frost poke around in your head to give you a suggestion or something."
On the training grounds of Xavier's School, Logan looked at Peter while puffing on a cigar, shaking his head disdainfully. "If it were me, I definitely wouldn't do that, kid. You just need to overcome this yourself."
"But what if I hurt someone because of it?"
Logan was silent for a while, watching the newly gathered students training, and exhaled a puff of smoke.
"...If I have any advice, it's that if you only do something to avoid hurting someone, it's far from enough. Anything can happen. Preparation? Preparation will be useless when the time comes. You have to rely on yourself, on that suit you're wearing. Do you believe in it? Does it believe in you?"
Logan said his piece and didn't elaborate further. After finishing his cigarette, he rudely tossed the butt on the ground and continued, "And the most crucial thing is—I don't trust Emma Frost."
Peter looked at Logan with some curiosity.
"Frost and the people behind her are definitely planning something; there's no doubt about that. But the biggest problem is that we don't know what she wants. She's taken Jean's place and is inseparable from Scott, acting as if they deeply care about each other, but in reality, both of them are wary of the other."
The most obvious thing is that even though using Cerebro to detect mutants is the simplest and most direct method, the White Queen still hasn't been able to use it, even when she suggested that it might help find the long-missing Jean Grey. Cyclops still hasn't agreed.
In fact, this violates their initial agreement, but Cyclops just won't allow it. The reason is obvious.
Peter pondered for a while and ultimately felt that Logan made sense. For a moment, he had a fleeting thought: could this worry and apprehension also be Knull's interference, meant to distract him from focusing on potential battles?
While Peter was silent, Kitty ran over. "Good afternoon, Spider-Man."

Kitty smiled a little bashfully. "Principal Scott said I could actually move to Genosha. But my parents don't mind that their daughter is a mutant, and I also want to help out. We saved the world together, right?"
"So, when's the next time, if there's a chance?"
Peter was instantly speechless. He didn't know whether to praise the girl's optimistic spirit of dedication or tell her it's better not to wish for the end of the world.
"About that, maybe next time. But I have to leave New York for a while to take a vacation."
Knull says that the Spider-Man's overly dramatic lines in the last chapter have nothing to do with him; he's a victim too.
