Chapter 48 - A Blue Screen

The 1-1 draw against Wolves was a point earned, a testament to Leon's growing consistency. 

However, his focus was on Alex Turner. The young man with the astonishing Potential: 95 was set to have his trial with the U18s today.

Leon felt a nervous excitement. He knew what Alex was capable of, even if Alex didn't fully realize it himself.

Leon watched the U18 training session from the sidelines, alongside Coach Miller, the U18 head coach.

Alex (Current: 73), looking a bit overwhelmed but determined, was a whirlwind of raw talent.

His first touches were sometimes a little heavy, his passing occasionally erratic, but then, a moment of pure, unadulterated brilliance.

A sudden burst of acceleration, leaving a defender flat-footed. A turn, so quick and fluid, that it made Leon's 'sight' flicker with awe. A shot, hit with surprising power, that rattled the crossbar.

"He's got... something, doesn't he?" Coach Miller murmured, making a note on his clipboard, his expression intrigued.
