"But we have a lower chance of winning. With your mom still not able to talk and move, there's no way we can convince the judge she wants her shares back without looking like idiots."
A buzz from my phone snaps my attention. I roll my eyes when I see the caller ID—another private number call.
The idiot has not yet stopped calling, and it's now been two weeks. What's more annoying is that the person seems to know I'm about to answer their calls, and they cut it off, and it doesn't help that my phone is usually a distance away from me whenever they do.
I think whoever it is must love toying with me. Although, among the people I know who do love annoying me this much, none of them would do this, or even think of hiring someone to do it. The prank is too childish for any of them—too lowly.
