As Spector made this announcement, several nearby Hepolisk vessels turned their weapons to bear on Spector Unit 6 before opening fire.
Adam used Spector Unit 6's mobility provided by the anti-gravity drive to strafe, roll and evade the incoming fire as his four shoulder cannons continued to lock on and fire at the closest Hepolisk vessels.

[StealthAssassin9 (Earth): Why are we not hearing the enemy communications like before when the streamer battled the pirates?]
[DeverinianLordMalacoss (Deverinian 9): Because they were pirates, and they do that as a form of intimidation. These, however, are military forces, and so they keep their communications secure. I doubt it has anything to do with the time difference.]
Adam had Spector Unit 6 continue to evade and strafe the incoming fire by swerving randomly in random directions for short bursts, making it almost impossible for the Hepolisk forces to predict his movements while his shoulder cannons continued to take down Hepolisk forces with one shot.
"Can you determine the local commanded ship?"
[[Affirmative, standby.]
A few moments later, a ship was highlighted on the viewscreen.
[[Hepolisk sector command ship]]
"Nice," Adam said as he had Spector Unit 6 make a beeline for the ship while it continued to fire its shoulder cannons.

"Captain, the unknown mech is on a direct course towards us."
"Weapons officer, bring all weapons to bear and fire."
"Yes, sir."

"Hepolisk forces near the unknown mech seem to be focusing on it, and it now appears to be heading directly towards the Hepolisk sector command ship." The Phoenix sensor officer reported.
"Have all available vessels not engaged in combat support the unknown mech by targeting the Hepolisk vessels trying to intercept the unknown mech." The Phoenix captain ordered.

As Spector Unit 6 flew towards the Hepolisk sector command ship, which was a large-class ship, Adam noticed that its laser weapons turned in his direction before opening fire.
Unlike what chat expected, however, Adam didn't have Spector Unit 6 evade and dodge like before and instead carried on flying straight towards the large-class command ship while raising Spector Unit 6's left arm.

The chat watched as a section of Spector Unit 6's left arm split open to reveal a black gaping hole.
Just as the energy beams fired by the large-class command ship were about to hit different sections of Spector Unit 6, they all suddenly deviated off course and headed towards the black gaping hole, only to vanish a moment later.

[Beinglittleisnotadisadvantage (Strathorp 7): I'm just speculating here, but we know that the streamers mech uses an anti-gravity drive, which means his mech's power source is most likely a miniaturised neutron reactor. As we know, a neutron reactor is, in essence, an artificial black hole that the anti-gravity drive makes use of to pull the ship, or in this case, the mech, in the desired direction.]

[Beinglittleisnotadisadvantage (Strathorp 7): What if the mechs' creators managed to harness the neutron reactor's miniturized black hole effect of sucking everything in and focus it into that section of the mech's left arm that retracted, thereby making it possible for the mech to absorb the beam's energy and light?]

[LadyErkath (Oceana 7): If that's the case, why didn't the streamer use it against the Hepolisk mechs and ships that attacked him before?]
[Beinglittleisnotadisadvantage (Strathorp 7): I'm guessing it was because of the ballistic projectiles. The miniturized black hole most likely sucks in everything within a certain range directly in front of the retracted section, and while the mech absorbs the beam weapons energy and converts it, it can't absorb a physical projectile and will instead take damage from it.]

[Beinglittleisnotadisadvantage (Strathorp 7): The increase in the NDS level, I'm guessing the mech converts some of the absorbed energy to charge whatever this NDS is.]

"Why is that mech still heading towards us?" The Hepolisk captain asked angrily.
"Our attacks seemed ineffective against it, sir."
"What are you talking about?"
"Sensors show that just before impact, the energy beams vanished."
"How is that possible?"
"Unknown."
"Then find out."
"Yes, sir."
"Captain, unknown mech is firing."

As soon as he entered firing range, Spector Unit 6's targeting system locked onto the Hepolisk command ship, and the four shoulder cannons fired.
The energy blasts from the four shoulder cannons tore through the Hepolisk command ship's shields like they didn't even exist before penetrating the hull of the ship and boring four holes all the way through it so that you could see space on the other side of the ship.
The targeting UI retargeted different sections of the ship before Adam fired again, tearing even more holes through the Hepolisk command ship.
The still functioning weapons of the Hepolisk command ships, plus the fighter-class ships and mechs that had been able to pursue Adam, all fired repeatedly at Spector Unit 6 as Adam had it strafe and roll, avoiding the incoming attacks while it continued to circle the command ship, firing off its shoulder cannons.
After the fourth volley, the Hepolisk command ship couldn't take any more, and as Spector Unit 6's sensors warned Adam of the command ship's imminent destruction, Adam had Spector Unit 6 turn and head deeper into the ongoing space battle and towards the Hepolisk communication jamming ship.

"Admiral, we have lost communication with the command ship in sector seventeen, sir." The Hepolisk communications officer aboard the bridge of the capital command ship that oversaw the entire battle.
"Report, do we know what happened?" The Hepolisk Admiral, who was in charge of leading the siege on Fenix Nest, asked.
"Not entirely, sir. The last update we received from them stated that an unknown mech had entered sector seventeen and was attacking allied vessels.
"Unknown mech? Could the Phoenix's have been hiding a new model and only just deployed it?"
"Unclear, sir; however, the report does say that it doesn't match anything like what the Phoenix race is using and that this unknown mech possesses a tail."
"A tail?" The Admiral asked in confusion before asking, "Are you trying to tell me that one lone mech took down sector seventeen's command ship?"
"That's unknown, sir."
"We'll find out."
