"Now it might just be me, but I am awfully suspicious about some of these headlines that are circulating on Xer-verse and the Newscasts," Malgath said as he pointed at the headlines displayed on a large holographic screen while sitting behind his studio desk.
"To help me solve this, we have invited an expert on Xer-verse posts and someone who has been trending herself recently since Diva Lorelie asked her personally to be her chaperone when her Genre Tour takes her to the Felidae Galaxy.
Ladies and gentlemen, please help me welcome tonight's call-in guest, Eri."
The audience cheered and clapped as a large holographic screen featuring Eri smiling and waving happily appeared for everyone to see before she said.
"Thank you, thank you, I must say this is a great honour for me. When I started my career as an influencer, I never imagined I would be a guest on The MMM Show."
"Well, thank Diva Lorelie's boyfriend for the idea of call-ins, it makes things so much easier when we want to interview someone about a trending topic."
"I will be sure to thank him when he comes with Dive Lorelie to the Felidae Galaxy."
"Good, good. Now, Eri, I believe I'm correct when I say that it was Diva Lorelie who helped you jump-start your career as an influencer, correct?"
"That's correct, Mr Malgath, I was…" Eri began but was quickly interrupted.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, stop with the Mr, it's just Malgath."
"You sound like Dragon Princess Tephe when she says, It's just Tephe," Eri said with a smirk as the audience laughed.
"Oh my, what is it with my guests lately and pranking me. I must seriously have a word with Diva Rowena; it seems like she is becoming a bad influence on everyone."
💫💫💫
"What does he mean, a bad influence on everyone?" Rowena complained as the other laughed before adding, "It was Adam who came up with the idea to prank Malgath originally"
The group were currently watching The MMM Show as Spector travelled at FTL towards Oceana Five, the location of Lorelie's next concert.
💫💫💫
" With all seriousness, though, Malgath, it was indeed thanks to Diva Lorelie that the start of my career was so successful; if she hadn't agreed to pose for that picture with me when I was lucky enough to meet her at one of her concerts, I don't think I would be where I am today." Eri explained.
"Diva Lorelie does indeed seem to care greatly for her fans, since the announcement of you becoming her chaperone, other fans of hers have been flooding social media posts to say how she has always been happy to take photos or speak with them," Malgath stated.
"That's because there are not many celebrities, let alone Divas, out there that are so appreciative of their fans. Sure, many of them may claim that 'they have the best fans in the world', or 'I couldn't have gotten this far without you all'. However, once the cameras are turned off, they speak a different tune.
There are many reports on Xer-verse of fans coming across their favourite celebrities in public and asking for a picture, only to be refused with some flimsy excuse that then gets backed up by that celebrity's entertainment company.
I think one of the reasons Divas Lorelie and Rowena are such good friends is because they are always willing to accommodate their fans and truly appreciate them."
"That may indeed be true, though in Rowena's case, it's because she likes the limelight so much," Malgath replied with a smirk, making Eri and the audience laugh.
"I can't deny that, after all, Diva Rowena has stated that herself numerous times; I believe she even stated that on this very show in the past."
"Indeed, she did."
"Regardless of the reason, the fact remains that Diva Rowena, like Diva Lorelie, is more than happy to accommodate her fans."
"A very insightful opinion, Eri; however, I believe we are getting away from the main reason we asked you on tonight's show. Please give us your expert opinion on these Xer-verse posts.
I think the first two regarding Diva Lorelie's Genre Tour don't need any discussion; we can all see how popular it is, although she still refuses to talk about how she is able to change her outfit live on stage."
"I must admit that, like everyone else, even I am curious about that. It was a great shock when I saw her do it the first time while watching her on Musiccast."
"Indeed," Malgath replied before sighing and saying, "Unfortunately, she is yet to reveal how she can do such a thing.
However, this does bring us to the next post about people offering astronomical prices for tickets to future concerts of her Genre Tour."
"I'm both surprised and not at this," Eri replied.
"Oh, please enlighten us."
"Well, I'm not surprised because it was always going to be crazy hard to get your hands on tickets to her shows. I think the only people who are guaranteed to get any are the rulers of the galaxies she performs in.
Though Queen Marilla of the Oasis Galaxy has recently announced that for Diva Lorelie's final show in the Oasis Galaxy, most of the tickets will be given out to those who have done charitable work and not sold for profit, another example of Diva Lorelie's magnanimity."
"We must have the biggest Diva Lorelie fan in the universe with us tonight, viewers, the way Eri keeps hyping up her greatness," Malgath said with a chuckle, making the crowd laugh again before he continued, "Though I can't deny that she is definitely setting a precedent by doing that.
Now, regarding the rumours of the Entertainment companies holding emergency meetings about what sort of contract to offer Diva Lorelie. I don't think we really need you to comment on this, after all, this rumour has been circulating ever since she first revealed her new genre of music, all we really have to do is wait and see which Entertainment company makes the first move and what they offer."
"Don't you find it strange that they still haven't approached Diva Lorelie yet, though?" Eri commented thoughtfully.
"Oh? You bring up a good point, Eri. Please continue."
"We all know how desperate the entertainment companies get when it comes to signing new promising talent when it appears, not only desperate but sometimes even aggressive.
However, none of them have made a move to sign Diva Lorelie, who is a free agent. Because she is a free agent, there would be no early termination fee; they would have to pay a rival company, and Diva Lorelie is not only a Diva, but also the most sought-after artist in the universe right now. I honestly can't understand why none of them have approached her yet."
"You make a good point, in fact, the only rumours we have heard about entertainment companies approaching Diva Lorelie are the Terran entertainment company, Royal Entertainment, with whom she was apparently close to signing with until the Terran military almost killed her, which I'm sorry to say is not a very good negotiating tactic, just ask Drotas Entertainment," Malgath said causing the audience to laugh again.
"And amazingly, Drotas Entertainment, who, rumour has it, believe they still have a shot at getting Diva Lorelie to resign with them even after attempting to have pirates kidnap her."
"There's no chance in hell that Diva Lorelie will sign with Drotas Entertainment again. Unfortunately, that leads me to think that they will once again try to eliminate her."
"Oh, please explain," Malgath said with a curious look, though he obviously knew the reason why and was just doing it for the audience's sake, as a good presenter.
"As we all know, Diva Lorelie holds the exclusive rights to her new genre of music. Should the worst come to pass and she be killed, her genre of music will then become available for any artist or entertainment company to use since she unfortunately does not have any living relatives."
"I see, so you're suggesting that Drotas Entertainment probably understand that they don't have a chance in signing her and will instead attempt to get rid of her. How despicable."
"Isn't it just?" Eri said in agreement.
"Well, on that sour note, let's all take a break so that we can calm down before we move on to the main topics we asked Eri to join us for.
So everyone, don't go anywhere as we will be back after these messages."
