"Are you suggesting that the Bounty Hunter Guild ship fired a planetary annihilation beam instead?" The fourth captain asked.
"It's more likely than a mech firing one," the third replied.
"Regardless," the captain at the head of the table suddenly said, silencing the others before he continued, "a ninety-seven per cent match does indicate that a planetary annihilation beam was fired and that is what destroyed the jump gate.
I will inform Matriarch Maiya about this, and until she decides what to do with it, this information is not to leave this room, is that understood?"
Everyone else in the room nodded and replied with confirmation in various ways.
"Good," the captain stated before adding, "Commander Erra, remain behind; the rest of you are dismissed."
Commander Erra nodded and remained where she was while everyone else left the room.
After everyone else had left, the captain asked, "What about that item?"
"The arm belonging to Spector Unit Six is safely aboard the Taiki. They detected and recovered it after Diva Lorelie's boyfriend departed and before the first Caninian ship arrived," Commander Erra replied.
"Good, have the Taiki transport it to research and development department two immediately. They are to start studying it and try to determine how the beam-cancelling tech works," the captain ordered.
"Yes, sir," Commander Erra replied before leaving the room.
"Miss Ellynn, is her majesty not with you today?" A female Solarian asked as soon as Adam, Rowena and Shalendra stepped into the jewellery shop that Shalendra had suggested.
"Not today, Falenas, I'm instead accompanying these two on behalf of her majesty," Shalendra replied as Adam and Rowena cast their vision over the store.
Adam found that, as with jewellery shops he had passed back on Earth, many of their products were on display for people to inspect; however, unlike on Earth, where the jewellery lay on cushions or special stands that best displayed them, the ones in this shop floated within their cases and spun slowly allowing the customers to inspect them easily from every angle.
[Superhearofangirl (Earth): Is the jewellery actually floating within the case?]

Falenas asked in surprise as she gave Adam and Rowena a once-over and saw their strange clothes and Adam's plain looks before putting on a professional smile and saying, "Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Falenas Yelkian, the owner of this humble establishment. What can I help you find today?"
"I'm searching for three rings," Adam replied.

"Err," Adam responded, causing Rowena to smirk and turn away as she tried to hide her laughter.

"Of course, please take your time and call me if you need any assistance," Falenas replied, causing Adam to nod at her before he walked away to examine each of the products on display.

The three women watched Adam move around the shop with interest and smirks of amusement, completely unaware that he was now receiving future sales data on each product.
As Adam toured the shop and turned his head left and right to view the data on each piece, a price that was several hundred times greater than any other he had seen so far caught his attention from a display cabinet right at the back of the store.
"What's that?" Adam mumbled as he headed towards the display cabinet, causing Falenas to shake her head.
"Something wrong?" Shalendra asked as she noticed Falenas action.
"It's as I suspected; he doesn't know anything about jewellery," Falenas replied before she turned to Rowena and asked, "Does he?"
"Apparently not," Rowena replied in amusement before asking, "but what makes you say that?"
"Because he's heading towards the display for jenix jewellery," Falenas replied, causing Rowena's eyes to widen in surprise before she looked in the direction Adam was heading.
"Jenix jewellery? What's that?" Shalendra asked before adding, "I don't believe you ever showed Queen Riniya any of that?"
"That's because JeniX is not very popular and as the Queen, her majesty deserves only the best," Falenas replied before adding with disappointment, "I have been trying to sell all the shops' JeniX pieces off, but at this rate, I might just have to throw them into storage or give them away."
"Why are they so unpopular?" Shalendra asked curiously.
"Well, just look at them. They're completely black, with the exception of the jewels a few of the pieces have. Almost nobody seems to want completely black jewellery, with the exception of those who have niche tastes," Falenas explained.
