Raven POV
A tiny bit closer than I liked, I stood up to my feet and my body as though experienced, took on a fighting stance as two people burst out from the bushes, one with arrows and another had a bow and arrow already knocked and ready to shoot.
"What the hell?" The male asked with surprise and the female shrugged at him, they looked confused.
"We were after a Slypta" The girl whispered to the guy and he nodded.
"There it is" I gestured to the dead beast and their eyes widened as they took tentative steps to it.
"What could have done this to it Selene?" the guy asked the girl.
"How am I supposed to know that? maybe a predator?" she asked and he gave her a stink eye.
"Every beast in this forests are predators, down to the evil eyed rabbits." she once again shrugged and I took them to be no threat, turning to pick out the arrow from the tree before throwing it to the ground and taking my seat back once again.
"Did you see what did this?" Selene girl asked and I gave her a bored look, she was a cute looking young woman with blues for eyes and the guy also was cute with normal brown orbs. They were dressed for the landscape, I glanced down at my flared out summer gown. unlike me.
"Yeah, I did" I responded, digging through my bag and thinking of an apple which when I brought out my hand, I found an apple seated on it. juicy looking and red. Nice

"You might want to stop calling me that" Graced my ears like a soft breeze and I smirked for the first time in my life. Never.
"What is it?" The guy asked after taking some look at the dead beast.
"I killed the beast. I don't care if you believe me or not so don't start" I shut the girl off and she slammed her lips close before turning to the guy and they began to talk in whispers. Not too secretly because It all sounded like they were speaking right close to my ears. It would seem that was also a perk from the transformation.
"I don't believe her" the girl mumbled with disbelief clear in her tone.
"Me too but what else do you see here? maybe she really did kill it?" he sounded unsure but seriously I did not care. I was unsure myself but I was beginning to think that this was my life now and the quicker I found this guy, the better.
It would be late soon and I did not have any plans of staying in this open forests out late, so without anything, I stood up and began to walk away.
"Hey, where are you off to?" they both rushed up to my front, blocking my path and without thinking, I growled loudly at them.
"What do you want?" I yelled with annoyance.
"The truth for starters" their eyes flashed green at my growl and I became more alert than ever, feeling my nails nick painfully as something came out from it and without looking, I knew it was my new claws.
"So long and big, what are you?" the Selene girl looked unsure with fear as she took steps back and I growled, my mouth suddenly feeling too full.
"None of your damn business" I pushed past them and began down the path, stepping over a log in my path and I could hear them following me.
"I'm Cole, this is Selene" the guy introduced.
"So I've heard" I mumbled dryly as I walked, eyes searching around to find somewhere to sleep this night before I continued on my way.
"What your name?" Selene asked and I stopped to look at them.
"Raven.. I'm called Raven" I mumbled, it felt unreal. it has been so long since someone ever called me by that name and I felt a warm emotion fill my heart before I cleared my throat.
"Now stop following me" I warned before I turned around to keep walking.
"Just for the day, we're just poor little wolves in need of protection" Wolves? I came to sudden stop to really look at them. They were wolves?
"You're wolves?" I asked and they nodded, now more confused than before.
"You seem surprised" Cole said and I gave him a glare.
"It's not everyday you see one just waltzing in this forests" I found a reasonable excuse and it would seem like they bought it quickly because they nodded in affirmation.
"Except the rogues and such" Selene responded and I nodded, rogues? what the fuck was rogues?.
"I have a mission to fulfil and I do not want you both to get involved, after today you will leave" I looked right into each of their eyes and after a glance at each other, they both nodded reluctantly.
"Good, I have to find a place to stay. Be quiet " I turned and continued my job of searching for a place to sleep.
We finally came across a large cave and it looked empty for the most part and even had a hot spring that made my whole skin dance with happiness at finally being able to clean myself up.
After washing up, we made a fire of sorts and sat around it, they were shivering but not by much---and I wondered why they didn't change into their werewolf form to fend off the cold.
"Here" I reluctantly asked for two blankets from my bag and gave it to them without thinking and they accepted it with thanks.
"thank you" Selene mumbled with a smile and I reciprocated it easily.
That was when a sudden sharp hiss filled the cave and we all startled, jumping to our feet and stepping into the cave with apprehension.
The owner of the cave must be back and was not at all happy to find us occupying its home.
There, curled around with it's head staring at us, was a python that had two heads and three eyes each.
We were completely and utterly Fucked.
