A chill sliced through Zara's veins. "How do you know all this?"
"I overheard them," the woman replied. "They assumed I was still unconscious and kept talking. That's when I heard everything. The first dose kept Mrs. Grant in a coma for forty-eight hours. The effect will wear off soon. You must stop them before they administer the second dose. Claire, the head nurse, is working with Riya. She knows all about the drug. Maybe she is also aware of the antidote. You need to confront her."
Zara's heartbeat spiked. She jumped out of bed. "Where are you now?"
"I've already left the country," the nurse said. "I can't reveal my location. But my conscience wouldn't let me stay quiet. If something happens to Mrs. Grant, I'll never forgive myself. That's why I called. You are the only one who can save her."
"Thank you for telling me," Zara said quickly, ending the call.
