Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 – Death of a Demon, Birth of a King

The battlefield reeked of blood, fire, and betrayal.

‎Screams echoed across the scorched skies as the Demon Emperor Velarion stood at the peak of his obsidian throne, wings torn, horns cracked, and blood soaking his black armor. Around him, the ruins of his empire burned—his demons butchered, his citadels falling into the void.

‎They had come for him.

‎Not just the so-called "Celestial Order."

‎But his own generals.

‎"You…" he growled, voice hoarse, eyes blazing crimson as he stared at the five traitors standing before him.

‎His most trusted. His elite. The Five Blades of the Infernal Flame.

‎"Forgive us, my lord," said Malek, once his right hand. "The age of demons is over."

‎Velarion laughed—a hollow, bitter sound. "You think the heavens will spare you for delivering my head? You're nothing but pawns."

‎They didn't answer. They didn't need to.

‎The sacred blade of judgment plunged into his heart, piercing centuries of power and pride in a single, cruel strike.

‎Velarion stumbled forward, black blood dripping from his lips. The world around him began to fade, shadows devouring light.

‎But before darkness claimed him, his voice rang out across the planes.

‎"I will return… I will rise again… and you will all kneel."

‎One Thousand Years Later…

‎Gasp!

‎Velarion jolted upright, chest heaving. But… it wasn't his demon fortress, nor the flames of war.

‎Cold air. Fluorescent lights. A sharp pain in his ribs. The scent of antiseptic.

‎He was in a hospital bed.

‎"What… is this?" he whispered, eyes darting wildly.

‎He looked down.

‎No claws. No armor. No tail or wings. Just fragile, pale human limbs wrapped in bandages.

‎A reflection on the bedside metal tray showed a teenage face—thin, bruised, with a busted lip and swollen eye. Brown hair. Ordinary. Weak.

‎> What trickery is this…?

‎Then came the memories.

‎Adrian Cain. Age 17. A bullied high school student. Fatherless. Mother in debt. Beaten daily by classmates. Invisible to teachers. Forgotten by the world.

‎And then… the accident. Pushed down the school stairs by a gang of delinquents. Skull cracked. Everyone laughed.

‎Until now.

‎Velarion's soul had been reborn in this pitiful shell.

‎Fate… you twisted whore.

‎Pain flared in his skull as two lives collided—one of blood and fire, and one of pain and shame.

‎Very well.

‎If this is my new vessel… then I shall use it to conquer this world.

‎Suddenly, a red glow spread across his vision.

‎An interface.

‎> [SYSTEM INITIALIZING…]

‎[Welcome, Host. You have been chosen by the Demon Emperor's Harem System.]

‎[Synchronizing soul signature… COMPLETE.]

‎[Mission: Reclaim your power. Rebuild your empire. Conquer your Queens.]

‎Velarion's lips curled into a smirk.

‎Well, now. Things just got interesting.

‎Two Days Later – Blackthorne High School

‎Adrian Cain—no, Velarion—walked the school halls like a phantom reborn.

‎Whispers followed him.

‎"That's the Cain loser… Thought he died."

‎"He looks… different."

‎"Still trash though."

‎But he didn't react.

‎The hallways were familiar now. Even in this strange modern world, predators and prey still existed. And he had no intention of being hunted again.

‎Not anymore.

‎At the top of the stairs, he paused.

‎That's where Adrian had fallen to his death. His hand tightened on the railing.

‎No more falling. Now I rise.

‎The System HUD flickered before his eyes—visible only to him.

‎> [Soul Compatibility Scan Complete.]

‎[First Target Identified: Selene Frost – Tier S Ice Elemental. Status: Virgin. Aura: Resistant. Potential: High.]

‎[Quest: Seduce and conquer your Ice Queen.]

‎[Reward: Power Boost + Dungeon Key.]

‎His gaze shifted across the hallway.

‎Selene Frost.

‎She walked with regal grace. Pale silver hair. Frost-blue eyes. An untouchable aura. The untamed queen of Blackthorne High.

‎She hadn't even spared a glance his way.

‎Yet.

‎Velarion's smirk deepened.

‎Let the game begin.

‎The bell rang—shrill and sharp—signaling the start of the next class.

‎Students scattered like mice before a hawk, but Velarion stood still, his eyes locked on the silver-haired girl walking ahead like the world itself bent around her.

‎Selene Frost.

‎The System glowed in the corner of his vision.

‎> [Target Attributes]

‎Name: Selene Frost

‎Level: 5 (Awakened)

‎Hidden Trait: Ice Queen's Soul

‎Mental Defense: High

‎Affection: 0%

‎Arousal: 0%

‎Resistance: 87%

‎Weaknesses: Pride, Isolation, Family Pressure

‎High resistance. Strong mind. A rare find, Velarion mused.

‎But she wasn't just another conquest—she was a key.

‎> [System Tip: Breaking a high-tier maiden will yield exponential rewards. Use charm, dominance, and emotional manipulation as needed. This world values appearances—be the king they crave.]

‎"Interesting," he murmured.

‎In his past life, Velarion had broken saints and queens with fire and fear. But here, things would require a subtler hand.

‎And he relished the challenge.

‎Classroom 3-B

‎He entered the classroom. The moment his feet crossed the threshold, silence fell.

‎Eyes turned.

‎Whispers started again, louder this time.

‎"Wait, isn't that Adrian?"

‎"He shouldn't even be walking…"

‎"No way. He looks like… like a different person."

‎Velarion ignored them all.

‎He walked like royalty. Back straight. Chin high. Confidence poured from him like dark perfume, confusing and alluring.

‎When he reached his desk—the same one where Adrian had been spit on, kicked, and humiliated—he sat down slowly, deliberately.

‎The same bully who once flicked pencils at him—Marcus, a tall, broad-shouldered jock—snorted and raised a hand to start the routine again.

‎Velarion's eyes met his.

‎No emotion. Just cold, ancient rage.

‎Marcus froze.

‎Something in those eyes—those bottomless, hell-forged crimson eyes—made his hand falter. For a split second, he felt like he was staring into the gaze of something inhuman.

‎"…Tch. Freak," Marcus muttered, turning away.

‎That's right, Velarion thought. Learn fear again. Learn your place.

‎Lunch Break – Courtyard

‎Selene sat alone under a sakura tree, untouched and untouchable.

‎Students gave her a wide berth. Some tried to impress her. Others idolized her from afar. But no one dared approach her now.

‎Until Velarion did.

‎He walked with slow, calculated steps, every motion smooth and graceful, like a predator circling prey—not with desperation, but with absolute control.

‎Selene didn't look up.

‎"You have five seconds to step away," she said, her voice cold enough to freeze time.

‎"Then I'll only need four," Velarion replied with a casual smile.

‎Her eyes flicked up. Sharp, piercing, and annoyed. "Excuse me?"

‎"You're suffocating in your little ice palace," he said, taking a seat opposite her without permission. "But here's the truth, Selene Frost: Queens don't belong on pedestals. They belong on thrones… next to kings."

‎For a moment, she blinked—confused, then angry.

‎"You think I'm impressed by your theatrics?" she snapped. "You're a joke. You used to get kicked around like trash—now you swagger in here like some anime protagonist? You're delusional."

‎Velarion leaned in slightly, his gaze dark and intense.

‎"No," he whispered. "I'm not a protagonist. I'm the endgame."

‎For a second—a brief, flickering second—her breath caught.

‎> [System Update: Target Emotion Spiked. Resistance temporarily lowered.]

‎[Affection +1% | Arousal +2% | Curiosity Triggered]

‎He stood up.

‎"I'll be seeing you again, Ice Queen."

‎And then he walked away, leaving her frowning, eyes following his back—something she'd never done for anyone before.

‎That Night – Cain Residence

‎Velarion sat cross-legged on the floor of Adrian's small, cluttered room.

‎He had removed the weakling's school posters, replaced them with a hand-drawn war map.

‎"I need power. Influence. And Queens."

‎> [System Notification: Harem Points 0]

‎[Seduction Skill Tree: Locked]

‎[Dungeon System: Inaccessible]

‎[Upgrade Conditions: First Kiss with a Tier S Target]

‎He stared at Selene's profile glowing in the HUD.

‎"One kiss to unlock the gates of hell. How poetic."

‎He cracked his knuckles.

‎The war had begun again.

‎Not with swords.

‎But with seduction, systems, and strategy.

‎And this time, Earth would be his empire.

‎Final Line (Hard Cliffhanger):

‎> [System Warning: Second Target Approaching Host… Threat Level: Chaotic Lust] [Name: Lilith Nyx. Status: Succubus Awakened. Objective: Unknown.]

‎Velarion's eyes widened.

‎"A succubus… in a high school?"

‎His grin turned feral.

‎"Let's play."
