Amy and Rory ran for their lives as Prisoner Zero, disguised as a mother with two daughters, chased after them, giant pointy teeth bared. They headed straight to the coma ward where all of it's forms were peacefully unaware of the fate being threatened to the Earth. Rory grabbed a discarded broom and shoved it through the handles, creating a barrier between the alien and the two humans that they both knew wouldn't last long. They backed away slowly, Rory keeping an eye on all the patients just in case one of them turned out to be the alien as well. Amy placed her phone against her ear, still connected to Danni and the Doctor who were heading their way.

"We're in the coma ward. But it's here, it's getting in." Amy told the other ginger girl.

"Doctor, it's getting them!" Danni told the Time Lord. There was an exchange on the other side Amy couldn't quite hear, "Which window are you?" Danni asked as Prisoner Zero chucked itself at the door hard, causing a loud bang to ring through the room and drown her out.

"What, sorry?" Amy asked, unable to hear her as she stared worriedly at the door.

"Which window?" Danni repeated.

"First floor on the left," She quickly counted the windows, "fourth from the end." The broom handle snapped and Prisoner Zero threw the doors open, using all three mouths to roar at the couple.

"Oh, dear. Little Amelia Pond." The mother's voice came out of the right mouth this time, but she said it with such a sickening smile Amy didn't even realise. The trio of a multiform began slowly walking towards the pair, "I've watched you grow up. 12 years, and you never even knew I was there. Little Amelia Pond, waiting for her magic Doctor to return, but not this time, Amelia." It bared it's teeth again as Amy's phone beeped. She opened the text message from Rory's phone and frowned at the word 'Duck'. She grabbed Rory's arm, pulling him to the floor just as the top of a ladder broke through the window, shattering the glass. A moment later Danni's head appeared, the woman grinning widely.

"Did we miss anything?" She asked cheerfully. Rory, ever the gentleman even when out of his depth, stood up and helped her down, "Oh, thanks!" The Doctor appeared after her, immediately noticing Rory still holding her hand from the assistance.

"Hey, let go of my Danni-Girl." He snapped, jumping into the room. Rory dropped her hand as if it was made of fire, causing her to laugh. The Doctor strode over, tilting his head slightly as he stared Rory dead in the eyes, "That's my hand." He warned Rory, who hastily nodded his agreement.

"All yours." He promised.

"Actually, it's my hand." Danni interrupted, waving her fingers to prove her point. He was too cute like this. She had thought that he was a tad over-possessive in his future, but the regeneration had obviously made something in his brain go haywire, and he'd taken to telling everyone that she was his Danni-Girl. Really, he'd nearly bitten Patrick Moore's head off and now this with Rory. She had known that he'd decided after he'd regenerated that it was time to move on and form some sort of romantic relationship with her, but she hadn't expected it to be so... sudden.

"But it fits so perfectly with mine." He moaned, turning and linking both hands with hers, threading fingers together, "Everything about you is perfect." He leant down to kiss her, but Danni pulled back slightly. As much as she loved kissing him, and she did, she really did, there was more important things to focus on. He pouted and she nodded to a very old-fashioned clock above the doorway.

"Less than three minutes, sweetie." She reminded gently, letting go of his hands. He frowned for a moment, obviously confused before remembering why they were in a hospital in the first place. He turned on his heel, making a full 360 degree spin before winking at her and turning to face Prisoner Zero.

"Right, yes, sorry." He declared, "Three minutes? So still time..."

"Time for what, Time Lord?" Prisoner Zero asked, practically spitting the race's name out as if it was dirt in it's mouth. The Doctor strode towards it, emanating confidence.

"Take the disguise off. They'll find you in a heartbeat." He shrugged slightly, "Nobody dies."

"The Atraxi will kill me this time." The multiform informed them, "If I am to die, let there be fire."

"OK. You came to this world by opening a crack in space and time. Do it again - just leave." He commanded, the smile falling slightly off his face.

"Sweetie?" Danni called and he looked over his shoulder at her, "It's not very important, but it wasn't Prisoner Zero who opened the cracks, best skip this part, we're behind schedule."

"Somebody did." He pointed out and she sighed, frustrated as he once again, didn't do as she said.

"'The universe is cracked. The Pandorica will open. Silence with fall.'" She recited from memory. It was a good quote, she had always thought it would make an excellent tattoo, but she'd been terrified of getting one. Now it seemed boring, how times changed, "But you really, really don't have to worry about that right now. Look." She pointed at the clock on the wall as it made a very distinct clicking noise, all the digits now reading '0'.

"Oh, look at that!" The Doctor cried, annoying Prisoner Zero more if the look on it's face was anything to go by, "Yeah, I know, just a clock, whatever. But do you know what's happening right now?" The alien stared back, not replying so the Doctor continued, "In one little bedroom, my team are working. Jeff and the world. And do you know what they're doing? They're spreading the word all over the world, quantum fast. The word is out. And do you know what the word is? The word is zero." The multiform tilted the mother's head, looking distinctly unimpressed as Danni hopped over to the Doctor's side.

"And, if I was up in the sky looking for a prisoner with the ID number Zero, this is something that is going to get my attention." She added, smirking, "And if I'm an alien spaceship, it would pretty simple for me to track the source of all these zeroes, because if anything it would be best to eliminate it if it was just a decoy."

"The source, by the way, is right here." The Doctor pulled out Rory's phone, waving it mockingly as a bright light shone in through the window, almost blinding Rory and Amy who were still stood right beside it, "Oh! And I think they just found us!" The multiform rolled the mother's eyes, still not entirely impressed by their efforts to stop it.

"The Atraxi are limited." It pointed out, "While I'm in this form, they'll still be unable to detect me. They've tracked a phone, not me."

"This isn't an ordinary phone." Danni retorted, "This is our friend Rory's phone. He's a murse, did you know that?" Rory hung his head slightly, unable to believe she'd referred to him as a 'murse' to an alien, "Rory works in this very hospital, with all these patients in this very room." She waved her hands to illustrate, making sure that the multiform saw the woman lying in the bed across from them, the woman whose image it had stolen, "And when he saw them out and about, he was rather concerned, because Rory is wonderful like that. So he took photos of them all."

"Photos on his camera phone." The Doctor clarified, waving the phone again, "This phone is full of pictures of you. Every form you've learned to take, right here." He waved the phone again before scrolling through it, hitting 'send', "Oh, and being uploaded about now. And the final score is - no TARDIS, no screwdriver - two minutes to spare." He suddenly chucked his arms out, "Who da man?" He exclaimed. Danni closed her eyes, wincing at how awkwardly awful it sounded coming out of his mouth. The multiform just glared, Amy looked slightly queasy and Rory was still stuck on the 'murse' comment. He looked down at Danni as she opened her eyes, shaking her head, "Oh, I'm never saying that again! Fine." He grumbled.

"For the best, sweetie." She replied. Amy frowned at them. They'd just continued on from each other, one finishing a sentence and the other picking up the flow of conversation. They seemed so in sync, she really didn't like it. At first it hadn't bothered her so much, but as she'd grown up she'd fixated on the Doctor and Danni... well, Danni became someone who was in the way. Any more proof of them being a pair made her just feel angry.

"Then I shall take a new form." Prisoner Zero retorted.

"Oh, stop it, you know you can't." He scoffed, "Takes months to form that kind of psychic link." Danni turned, looking over at Rory.

"Catch her." She warned and he shook his head, confused.

"Catch who?" He asked as Prisoner Zero grinned at the Doctor.

"And I've had years." The woman and two children began to glow, their eyes turning golden as it began to change and Amy dropped to the floor. Rory yelped and just missed her as she fell unconscious. Both the Doctor and Danni rushed to her side, kneeling down as the Doctor looked her over, checking she was okay.

"No! Amy?" He asked, but the girl didn't respond. The Doctor cupped her face, making her face upwards and he frantically tried to get her to wake up. Danni tugged at his sleeve as he called to the newest candidate to be his companion.

"Doctor?" She called, "You should look at this." He looked up and frowned, almost disappointed in the new form Prisoner Zero had taken.

"Well, that's rubbish. Who's that supposed to be?" He asked and Danni sighed.

"It's you, ya moron." She retorted. The Doctor looked at it again, surprised. He hadn't been expecting that. Nor had he been expecting that to be how he now looked. He was a baby, how was anyone going to take him seriously if he looked like a child? Although, he took a sideways glance at Danni, he did look nearer her age than the old body. Maybe it was the outfit. He reached to feel the tie around his neck, automatically realising they were both in the same clothes, and it didn't look right on him. He could get some older, cooler clothes.

"Is that really what I look like?" He whined all the same and Rory double took, bewildered at that particular statement.

"You don't know?" He asked and the Doctor shook his head.

"Busy day." He offered as an explanation, standing up and rushing over to the duplicate, "Why me, though? You're linked with her. Why are you copying me?" Danni leant in closer to Amy's ear.

"Amy, I know that you can hear me." She whispered.

"I'm not." The Doctor frowned as Prisoner Zero audibly changed, a young Amelia in her wellies stepping out from behind the Doctor, "Poor Amy Pond. Still such a child inside."

"Show me." Danni continued, ignoring the taunting the Doctor was receiving, "Show me you can hear me."

"Dreaming of the magic Doctor she knows will return to save her. What a disappointment you've been." Zero Amelia spat out as Prisoner Zero morphed again, Danni appearing on the other side of him, "Taking over a young girl's heart and running away with an older woman isn't very kind." His eyes narrowed as it used Danni's voice suddenly made his blood boil.

"Stop it." He snarled and the fake Danni grinned.

"Oh, you don't like this, do you?" It mocked, "The Doctor doesn't like the idea of his Danni-Girl saying such awful things."

"Stop it." He warned again, "Or I will make you wish the Atraxi captured you while they had the chance."

"If you kill me, the planet will burn." The duplicate Amelia pointed out.

"I don't care." He snapped, "Let it burn." Rory turned to Danni, alarmed.

"Will he really do that?" He asked and she shook her head.

"Oh no, of course not." She tried to reassure him. She wasn't entirely convinced of it herself, but it wasn't the first time he'd said something like that so she leant back down to Amy's ear, "Well done, sweetie." She whispered, "Now, show me what Prisoner Zero looks like. Remember, in the room that was never there? Show me his true form, show the Doctor. As hard as you can, little Amelia Pond. Show us what it really looks like."

"... like some love sick..." Prisoner Zero continued to taunt until, suddenly and without warning, it began glowing. The Doctor seemed just as surprised as the creature was, "No... no... No!" It exclaimed, morphing into a grey snake-like creature hanging from the ceiling.

"What was that?" The Doctor exclaimed and the creature seemed to cry out, morphing back into himself.

"Stop talking!" Danni cried out, "Amy, stay focus!" The Doctor jolted, turning and running over.

"She can hear us!" He cried out, kneeling down and taking hold of Amy's face again, "Keep dreaming, Amy. Dream of Prisoner Zero." The creature almost screamed as it reverted back to it's original form. The Doctor looked over, smirking triumphantly, "Well done, Prisoner Zero. A perfect impersonation of yourself." Another beam of light shone in through the window, a spotlight that landed directly on Prisoner Zero. It roared and writhed, trying to escape the bright white beam.

"Prisoner Zero is located. Prisoner Zero is restrained." The Atraxi ship declared.

"Silence, Doctor. Silence will fall." It hissed before disappearing, the Doctor observing it all with a cold, disinterested look on his face.

"Oh, look, they ran away." Danni muttered, "So, now what?" The Doctor turned to look at her, his eyes darting with furrowed brows as he went over everything that had just happened. He cupped her face, leaning forward and placing a gentle kiss on her lips, one that made her breath catch in her throat then he jumped up, dashing to the window to look outside. He pulled out Rory's mobile, dialling what seemed to be a rather long number on it before holding it up to his ear. Rory looked at him, still completely out of his depth before turning to Danni. She smiled warmly at him, knowing it would be a while before Rory would be anywhere comfortable with the life he would end up leading.

"The sun - it's back to normal, right?" He asked her and she nodded, "That's... That's good, yeah? That means it's over." The Doctor walked past them, patting Rory on the head once as Amy began to stir, pulling his attention to his girlfriend, "Amy? Are you OK? Are you with us?" She pushed herself up, blinking, confused.

"What happened?" She asked, not remembering much after Prisoner Zero smirking at her.

"They did it. Danni and the Doctor, they did it." Rory rambled.

"No, Amy did it." Danni corrected, smiling at her, "Well done, Amelia."

"What did I do?" She groaned, her head not hurting exactly, but she felt like she had been thinking really, really hard.

"You were amazing." Danni explained, helping her stand, "And by thinking of Prisoner Zero, you were able to change it's form and the Atraxi flew away."

"So, I missed it?" Amy moaned and Danni giggled, shaking her head.

"Oh no, the Doctor's bringing them back right now, aren't you sweetie?" She called over, the Time Lord nodded, a very serious look on his face.

"Sorry, in advance." He called over and Rory frowned as Danni shrugged.

"About what?" He asked, looking between the two.

"The bill." This just confused Rory further, but whoever was on the other end answered, "Oi, I didn't say you could go! Article 57 of the Shadow Proclamation. This is a fully established, level 5 planet, and you were going to burn it? What...? Did you think no-one was watching? You lot, back here. Now!" He hung up, chucking the phone back at Rory, who barely managed to catch it, "OK. Now I've done it." He strode out, heading for the roof. Amy quickly followed but Rory blinked, looking at his phone then at Danni, who had waited for him.

"You weren't kidding." He said and Danni shook her head, watching the Raggedy Man and his Amelia dash away.

"Nope." She replied.

"Did he really just save the world from aliens and then bring all the aliens back again?" He asked and she nodded again with a sigh.

"Yeah, he does that." She explained before holding her hand out to him, "Come on Rory." She grabbed it when he just stared at her and began dragging him down the hallway, spotting Amy and the Doctor heading into a side room, "This way." She opened the door and found they were in a changing room, the Doctor rummaging through the left clothes for something more appropriate for the new him.

"What's in here?" Amy asked, watching him chuck a shirt over his shoulder for Rory to catch.

"I'm saving the world - I need a decent shirt." He grinned, heading down the long, skinny room, finding a couple of jackets to try out, "To hell with the raggedy. Time to put on a show!" He picked up a stripped shirt, pondering over it for a second before chucking it at Rory, who seemed to be the only one finding the situation more than slightly alarming.

"You just summoned aliens back to Earth. Actual aliens," He pointed out as the Doctor quickly undid his tie, "deadly aliens, aliens of death, and now you're taking your clothes off..." He trailed off, perplexed and turned to his girlfriend, "Amy, he's taking his clothes off." He frowned, seeing that she wasn't half as bothered by this turn of events as he was.

"Turn your back if it embarrasses you." The Doctor retorted, taking off his shirt and tossing it to one side, before doing a similar thing with his trousers.

"Are you stealing clothes now? Those clothes belong to people, you know." Rory grumbled before turning away. Amy didn't move as the Doctor stood there in just his underwear trying to decide on a shirt, "Are you not you going to turn your back?" He asked her.

"Nope." She replied happily and both Danni and Rory stared at her, incredulous.

"Amy!" They both exclaimed and she sighed, turning just as the Doctor decided he didn't need his underwear, after all. They were a bit tight and he could always get new ones, she he stripped them off as well. Rory glanced to his side, seeing Danni staring straight ahead.

"Aren't you going to turn around?" He asked her desperately and she shook her head, crossing her arms with a smirk on her face.

"I've seen him naked plenty of times." She replied, watching the Doctor stumble in surprise, one leg in a new pair of trousers, "I will always want to see it again."

"Is this world protected?" The Doctor asked the giant eye in the sky, finishing tying his new bow tie around his neck. Danni held her breath, not watching the blue projection the giant ship was showing them of Cybermen and Daleks, of other aliens that had appeared on Earth, but the Doctor. Watched him stare them down without a single shred of fear, ready to face them to the bitter end. They way his head was tilted slightly to one side, but his shoulders were back and he was stood straight, all that confidence and cleverness and... Oh lord, he was so... so sexy, "Because you're not the first lot to come here. Oh, there have been so many! And what you've got to ask is... what happened to them?" The projection changed, now flashing through his first Ten bodies, then he did it. That moment that had cemented Eleven into her life all them years ago. He pulled on his new tweed jacket and he stepped through Ten, smirking at the ship.

"Hello. I'm the Doctor." He told the Atraxi, "Basically... run!" There was a short pause, and then the ship turned and departed as quickly as it's engines would allow. They all watched it fly away, Amy laughing in sheer delight at the end result. The Doctor turned to see Danni staring at him, biting her lip, her eyes burning in a way he'd not seen stare at this body before, but it cemented this body as his new favourite. He strode over, ready to pull her in for the kiss she'd stopped back on the coma ward when something in his pocket began to burn through the fabric. She reached around her own neck as the Doctor brought out his TARDIS key, grinning joyfully as it glowed golden. So, he grabbed her hand and pulled her away as Rory and Amy watched on.

~0~0~0~

The Doctor paused in front of the newly refurbished TARDIS, incredibly impressed by the new shade of blue she had decided for herself. When he had thought there couldn't possibly be a bluer blue than what she had already been, she had to go and show him he was wrong. It was beautiful, she was beautiful. He glanced down at Danni who was grinning almost proudly, running her hands over the new paintwork. They were beautiful. Almost apprehensive, he took a deep breath.

"OK! What have you got for me this time?" He asked his blue box, using his key to unlock the door and pushing it open. He stepped into the doorway, taking in the new, brighter, golder console room, with it's glass platform and it's stairs to the hallway on the other side, "Look at you!" He exclaimed, his eyes lighting up and he laughed with a giant smile on his face, "Oh, you sexy thing! Look at you!" He rushed inside, finally letting Danni step in after him. It wasn't a new console room to her, but she put on the show of surprise she knew he wanted.

"Well you're just showing off." She told the box, heading up the stairs as the Doctor flicked and pressed, setting the box off into flight again, "I think he likes it." The Doctor stopped, watching her run a finger across the main controls, staring in delight as she watched the column move up and down. It occurred to him that none of this was new for her, that this body was the one he knew she'd eventually marry, that they had so many firsts coming his way that she would have already experienced. She'd kissed these lips, held this hand and been in this console room a hundred times before. But she was there, experiencing it as if it was her first time. She always did, everything was always so amazing to her. He walked over, pulling her up against him and he smiled softly.

"I love you." He told her, startling her slightly, "I love you, I'm never going to stop telling you how much I love you. And I am never, ever going to let you go." The corners of her lips tugged upwards, but there was a sadness in her eyes he really didn't like.

"I wish you could." She told him, "But I'll just jump away eventually and destroy everything. I always do." He shook his head, cupping her face with one hand as the other rested on her waist.

"You do not destroy anything." He scolded lightly, "And I promise, I will find a way to stop it. This body, this me, this is the one that stops you leaving. It may take me a thousand years, but I will get that thing off your wrist." And the way he looked into her eyes before pulling her in for that long overdue kiss, the way he held her tightly had her believing, just for a moment, that maybe he would. That he would save her from the jumping, the constant disappointment of having to leave his side, never knowing if she could be with her Theta like she truly wanted to be.

Then her arm began to burn, and the illusion shattered. His upset, longing look disappeared as she was ripped from his arms, and was replaced by the grateful, brown gaze of Rose Tyler.

"Oh, thank god." She cried, hugging the red head, "I knew you'd be here soon." Danni frowned, looking around the old console room. By the railings stood Lisa, who was grinning, excited to finally see Danni after what seemed like ages.

"What's going on?" Danni asked, confused, "Why is Lisa here?"

"There were these ghosts." Lisa began explaining excitedly, and Danni's eyes widened in horror, "Then we got kidnapped, and the Doctor took Mrs Jackie and protended she was Rose! It's so much fun!" Danni looked around, from Rose to Lisa then back again, trying to stop her mind from reeling, herself from panicking herself into a useless hysteria but she wasn't sure it was working.

They were in Torchwood One.

This was Doomsday.
