Chapter 52 - No Stone Unturned

"Unhand me this instant!" The nobleman shouted at the guards manhandling him, struggling against their grip.

He was Baron Callum Ashton, Countess Vivienne's famed ally who pointed a finger at the Queen during the masquerade ball. He had been arrested along with Vivienne and the rest of her allies at the same time but now was time for reckoning. And he wasn't the only one. The other two, another maid who aided her and the footman planted the forged letter were dragged forth into the throne room.

"Baron Callum Ashton." Fabio growled, alighting from his throne to walk up to the party. He gave the guards a quiet nod and they forced the Baron to his knees. "You have been in the dungeons for how long—two weeks or so?—but I wouldn't underestimate the will of a trapped animal."

The man said nothing; not even thrashing like he was before. As if resigned to his fate. Who wouldn't be when the King of Wolves himself was your judge, jury and executioner?
