Chapter 39 - Chapter 36 - The Agreement

After leaving the apartment, Reina rose into the sky and looked toward the Hyperion hovering above Nagazora.

The city below was still in ruins. Missile strikes had torn through large sections of it, and the damage left by Honkai beasts was everywhere-collapsed buildings, smoke, injured civilians, and those who had already died. Reina could sense all of it clearly. With her power, she could repair the city, bring the dead back, and undo the destruction, just like she had done inside Kiana's void dimension.

But this wasn't the time.

Her focus was on the Hyperion. If she wanted to move forward, she needed to meet Theresa and make a deal-one that would allow them to go together to St. Freya Academy. Staying hidden any longer didn't suit her. It never had. She had already spent years watching from the shadows.

Reina picked up speed and flew straight toward the battleship. Before long, she was hovering directly in front of it.

Up close, the Hyperion was imposing. Heavy cannons, missile ports, and layered defensive weapons lined its hull, all fully capable of tearing apart most threats. Yet none of them moved. No targeting systems locked onto her, no warning shots fired-despite the fact that she was openly flying with two of her six wings extended.

"Oh?"

Her gaze shifted to the deck.

Two people were standing there, watching her.

Theresa Apocalypse stood at the front, Oath of Judah floating behind her, its restraints humming with restrained power. Beside her was Himeko Murata, already in her battlesuit, one hand resting casually on the hilt of her greatsword

So they were prepared.

Reina hovered calmly in the open sky, a small smile forming on her face.

Reina chose to land at a careful distance-not too far, but not too close either.

The moment her feet touched the deck, she dismissed the two wings she had been using, letting them fade away calmly.

"Good afternoon, my ladies," Reina said as she gave a small, polite bow. "We met briefly a few months ago, and I'm sure both of you already know my name from your investigation."

She straightened and looked at them properly before continuing.

"But allow me to introduce myself again. My name is Reina-an Astral from another world."

Her gaze remained steady as she finished her introduction.

Theresa and Himeko remained silent after Reina finished introducing herself.

Not out of rudeness, but because this was the first time they were meeting her properly-face to face, without distance or secrecy. Both of them simply stared at her, studying her carefully. Her presence, her posture, the way she carried herself... all of it.

The silence stretched on.

Reina blinked once, then let out a small laugh.

"Oh my," she said lightly, a faint smile forming on her lips. "If I'm the only one introducing myself, I might start feeling embarrassed. I'll end up thinking I'm being ignored~"

Hearing that, both of them finally realized they had been staring for too long. Theresa coughed lightly, quickly regaining her composure.

"Sorry about that. I kind of spaced out for a moment," Theresa said, then continued, "My name is Theresa Apocalypse. I'm the principal of St. Freya Academy, under Schicksal."

She gestured to the woman beside her.

"This is Himeko. She's a Valkyrie and also a teacher at St. Freya Academy."

Himeko gave Reina a brief look before speaking.

"Nice to meet you... is what I'd usually say," she said calmly. "But I don't think that really fits the situation right now."

"Why though? I think it fits just fine. We're simply introducing ourselves and getting to know each other," Reina said lightly.

Her gaze shifted across the deck of the Hyperion-the weapons, the restrained tension in the air, and the two Valkyries standing in front of her.

"But yeah i understand, this doesn't really feel like the right place for that," she added calmly.

"Then let's get straight to the point," Reina said.

With a snap of her fingers, a small tea table appeared on the deck. An umbrella unfolded above it to block the sunlight, and three chairs formed neatly around it.

Both Theresa and Himeko stiffened, clearly surprised as the furniture materialized out of thin air.

Reina, however, acted as if it were completely normal. She took a seat and casually gestured for them to do the same.

After a brief hesitation, Theresa and Himeko exchanged a glance before sitting down as well.

"Oh, and you can put the other one here too if she wants to join the conversation," Reina added suddenly.

Theresa paused, then placed a small device on the table. A hologram flickered to life, revealing a woman with sharp eyes and an inquisitive expression.

Frederica Nikola Tesla.

She looked just as curious as she sounded.

"So you're Reina," Tesla said, eyes focused as data scrolled beside her hologram.

"You don't match any known profile. Honkai reactions spike around you, then disappear completely-as if something is overwriting the energy itself."

She paused, adjusting her glasses.

"Schicksal's reports say you've been around for years, but there's no origin record. No past. No entry point."

Her gaze lifted to Reina.

"That's not normal. Even Herrschers leave traces."

Tesla leaned back slightly.

"So before we start guessing, I'll ask directly," she said.

"Are you here as a problem... or as someone we can cooperate with?"

Reina knew from the game that Tesla was blunt by nature-that was simply her character.

But seeing it firsthand like this... damn. This was their first real meeting, and Tesla was already firing off questions without any hesitation.

"That depends," Reina replied calmly. "As long as my partners aren't harmed by you people, I don't mind to help erase Honkai from this world-and make sure it never returns in the future."

"Your partners?" Theresa repeated, her expression tightening slightly. "You mean... Kiana?"

She remembered clearly how close Reina had been to Kiana during their investigation, and the sight from months ago-Reina carrying an unconscious Kiana through the sky.

"Kiana Kaslana, Raiden Mei, Yuna Aoyama" Reina said, listing the three names one by one.

Those names were familiar to them-except for Yuna, who came from an ordinary civilian family.

They didn't know yet that Yuna had already become a Herrscher.

"...Raiden Mei too," Tesla muttered, eyes narrowing slightly. "So what's your plan regarding the two Herrschers?"

"Nothing," Reina replied plainly. "Herrscher power itself is useless to me. Their energy, on the other hand, is pretty useful. But if that's what you're asking-nothing will happen to them."

Himeko, who had been silent the entire time, finally spoke.

"...Wait. Maybe I misheard you earlier," she said, eyes fixed on Reina. "What did you mean by erasing Honkai?"

Theresa hadn't really caught that part before-her attention had been too focused on Kiana. Tesla, meanwhile, had clearly noticed it as well, though she'd been planning to ask later.

"Hmmm~ that's a secret," Reina said lightly, resting her cheek against her hand on the table and giving them a small wink.

Seeing Reina refuse to answer only made Tesla want to ask again. Her curiosity was clearly growing-what Reina meant by erasing Honkai was something she couldn't just ignore.

But after looking at Reina's expression, they all understood one thing clearly.

They weren't going to get an answer right now.

Tesla was just about to continue questioning her when Reina suddenly raised her hand, gesturing for them to stop.

"That's enough Q&A from me," Reina said calmly. "If you want to know more about me, you can meet me another time. For now, I still have other things to do."

She then turned her attention to Theresa.

"Theresa Apocalypse," Reina said, her tone shifting slightly, more direct than before. "I have a deal I want to make with you-as the principal of St. Freya Academy."

"A deal?" Theresa repeated.

"Can you let the five of us enroll in St. Freya Academy?"

"..."

Silence filled the space after Reina's sudden request.

Reina continued before anyone else could speak.

"This isn't for me," she said calmly. "It's for Kiana and the others. They still need to go to school, and with Nagazora in this state, they can't stay here anymore. They need to move somewhere else."

She gestured lightly as she spoke, her tone casual but sincere.

"And it just so happens that you have a school that actually teaches about Honkai. That makes St. Freya the best place for them to learn properly."

Reina paused, then added as if it were an afterthought, "Oh, and you don't need to worry about the Herrscher in Kiana and Mei."

Himeko turned her gaze toward Theresa, noticing how deeply she'd fallen into thought over Reina's request.

Tesla, on the other hand, kept staring at Reina, her eyes sharp-clearly trying to figure out the real reason behind this sudden proposal.

But Reina had no hidden scheme. She wasn't planning anything behind their backs. All she wanted was for Kiana and the others to learn properly. Knowledge was better than throwing themselves into danger without understanding anything-better than relying on brute force alone.

After a few moments, Theresa finally spoke.

"You said this is a deal," she said. "So what are you offering me in return?"

Reina smiled when she heard that.

---

A few minutes later, they finally agreed to Reina's deal.

"Thank you, Theresa. If you think of something later, just tell me," Reina said as she shook Theresa's small hand. Her tone was calm, almost casual, as if this agreement carried no weight at all.

She stood up, already planning to leave and inform the others of the result. Just as she turned away, Tesla spoke again.

"Where are you going now?"

"Home," Reina answered without hesitation. Then she stopped mid-step, as if something crossed her mind. She glanced back at them, a faint grin forming on her face.

"Oh, right. Do you want to see a spectacular show?"

Himeko narrowed her eyes slightly. "Spectacular show? What do you mean?"

Reina didn't answer.

Instead, power surged from her back.

Six wings erupted into existence in an instant. They weren't the dark wings she was known for, nor the white ones Kiana had seen before. Each wing carried a different color-red, blue, green, brown, gold, and black-standing side by side in sharp contrast.

"What the hell?" Tesla blurted out before she could stop herself. Every report she had read mentioned only dark wings. This was completely new data.

Theresa and Himeko reacted on instinct. Their bodies tensed, hands moving into ready positions. The easygoing presence from before was gone, replaced by something serious and unpredictable.

The moment the six wings fully spread, the air around Reina felt different.

Theresa's expression stiffened almost instantly. Her instincts as a Valkyrie screamed at her, her grip tightening on the Oath of Judah as its restraints began to hum louder than before.

Himeko felt it too.

It wasn't like Herrscher pressure. There was no sharp hostility, no chaotic surge of Honkai energy. Instead, it was something heavier-quiet, overwhelming, like standing too close to something that shouldn't exist on this scale.

"...This isn't Honkai," Himeko said slowly, her voice low. "Not even close."

At the same time, far away in Anti-Entropy's headquarters, alarms began to ring.

Panels flickered. Readings spiked, dropped, then spiked again. Instruments designed to measure Honkai output went completely off the scale before blanking out altogether.

"What the hell is this supposed to be?" Tesla snapped, slamming her hand against a console. "The system can't even lock onto it!"

Numbers kept changing without meaning. Every attempt to classify the energy failed-too dense, too stable, too vast. It didn't behave like Herrscher power. It didn't behave like anything recorded.

"This reading..." an operator muttered. "It's beyond any known Herrscher threshold."

Back on the Hyperion, Theresa took a slow breath, forcing herself to stay calm.

"So this," she said carefully, eyes fixed on Reina's wings, "is what you really are."

Reina didn't deny it. She didn't explain either. She simply stood there, wings spread, her presence steady-like she was letting them understand, not threatening them.

And somewhere else, far from Nagazora-

Otto Apocalypse watched the feed in silence.

The image of the winged girl hovered on the screen, data scrolling uselessly beside it.

"...So the reports were incomplete after all," he murmured, adjusting his glasses. "Lucifer from another world..."

A faint smile touched his lips.

"This will be... very interesting."

Reina smiled, knowing Otto had been watching them the entire time. Sooner or later, he would try to make contact with her.

He would do anything to revive Kallen Kaslana-even using someone from another world.

And after what she was about to do, he would want to reach her as soon as possible.

"By the way," Reina said calmly, "I'm going to do something now. I'm telling you in advance so you don't panic or try to attack me for no reason."

With that, she flew into the sky, moving away from the Hyperion.

She stopped above the city, hovering as she looked down at Nagazora.

There were many injured people, but not that many deaths-thanks to Kiana, Mei, and Siegfried, who had protected the civilians before. Only a few buildings had been destroyed by the missiles, and the impact craters were clearly visible from above.

"Just as I thought," Reina murmured. "I don't need to use my true form for this."

Her Primarch form would be enough to repair everything, resurrect those who had died, and heal the wounded.

"Let's start the show~"

Her six multi-colored wings began to shine brightly.

Six colors spread outward in different directions, each one lighting up the sky as it radiated across the city.

Everyone that still trying to recover on the ground was suddenly enveloped by the light, making them freeze in confusion.

At first, they thought it was another missile attack. But they quickly realized something was different. The light wasn't hot. It didn't burn or hurt like the explosions before.

Instead, it felt warm and gentle-like their entire bodies were being held in a quiet embrace.

Children who had been crying slowly stopped, feeling calm as if their parents were holding them close. The wounded no longer felt pain. Even those drowning in grief-mourning family members or friends they had lost-felt their trembling hearts slowly settle.

On the Hyperion, Theresa and Himeko couldn't look away. Their eyes stayed fixed on Reina, who was flying high above the city, her expression calm and smiling as if this was the most natural thing in the world.

At the apartment, Kiana had already arrived. She stood by the window, staring at the sky along with Bronya and Yuna's mother.

Mei, who had just reached the front of ME Corp, stopped as well and turned around.

When they saw Reina in the sky, all of them smiled without realizing it, then quietly went on with what they were doing.

"Lucifer... Gabriel... let me use your strength."

The blue and white wings began to shine even brighter than the others.

Behind each wing, faint silhouettes appeared-one male, one female-standing silently as their presence spread through the light.

His face could not be seen clearly, but the outline was calm and refined, with gentle features that gave the impression of quiet composure rather than authority. His hair appeared short and light, softly glowing as if made from the same pale light as the wing itself. It did not flow wildly, instead resting naturally, untouched by wind.

From his back spread six vast white wings, layered and full, each feather defined only by light. They did not shine harshly, nor did they cast pressure. The wings were still, open in a way that felt protective rather than imposing.

Behind the blue wing, the silhouette of a woman emerged.

Her face was partially visible through the glow, delicate and serene, carrying a gentle warmth. Her expression was soft, almost maternal, as if watching over the world below. Her hair was long and flowing, cascading down in faint strands of blue-tinted light, drifting slowly as if suspended in water rather than air.

Extending behind her were six broad blue wings, their color deep and clear like a calm sky. The feathers shimmered faintly, not bright, but soothing. They moved slightly, not to display power, but as if responding naturally to Reina's presence.

"Call of Eden."

Reina murmured, her voice barely above a whisper.

And with that, 13th February 2014 instead of becoming the day Nagazora was destroyed and the Third Honkai Eruption began.

It's instead became the day an angel descended from the sky

and a miracle happened in Nagazora City.
