"Gasp! Lorelei you're awake!" Loar shouted, "WHAT?!...What did you call me?!" Lilith asked, "Huh? Lilith, I called you Lilith" Lora said, looking worried, "Are you sure she's okay?!" Lora shouted, the doctor nodding, as he stood there, Lilith froze as she saw the doctor, he only stared at her, Lora was called away, so she left the room, Lilith sat there with her head down not looking up, "Long time no see, my dear…" The doctor said, "I…I-I don't know what you're talking about?! I've never met you in my life!" she snapped, "You expect me not to recognize the girl who used to beat me up as children, the same girl my mother had to patch up when I'd get too rough?" he said, her head snapped up, "Your….your mother?" she asked, he smiled, pulling off his mask, "It's good to see you Princess Lorelei" he said with a smirk "Nellson?!" she shouted, quickly covering her mouth, Nellson…. was Niles brother.
She jumped up from her bed, taking a look at him, her eyes watering, "Woah! Woah! Careful, the men you fought with, they must've soaked their daggers in moonlilies jelly(moonlilies are the same berries Lora ate the second time Lilith saved her, if you mash the berries and rub it in a wound, can knock you out, or kill you) "I've missed you…all of you…..wait no! You can't call me that here!" she said, "Huh?" he said confused walking towards her, "My name is Lilith!..okay…..I ... ..don't know who Lorelei is.." she said looking into his eyes, he slowly nodded, "you ... .you did it?" he asked in a low voice, she smiled, "Did you...read the note?" he asked, now she looked confused, "What note?" she asked, "Niles left you a not in some box, I told him he should wait until he could give it to you in person, but he assured you'd find it" he explained, Lilith frowned, "Josh, and my other two step- brothers set fire to my cabin....that's where the box he was referring to was…grandmother claimed there was something wrong, and she needed to set fire to it" she explained, he nodded, "listen...things have changed…..people change, so....if you get a chance to see Niles, and if he at least treats you the same, tell him I said hi...." he said, looking down like he was sad, "what do you mean?" she asked, "well...our father….our real father...he was actually a prince to be, but he fell in love with our mom, ran from his fate, and kept it a secret, our uncles none of them had sons, dad died as you already know, so being as they liked him, Niles was chosen to take the throne, and well....all I can say is.....while he may never admit it, I think he understands why you hated the royal life you had before" he said, Lilith nodded, with a bitter smile on her face, "so he is married now?" she asked, Nellson laughed, "No…..he told them he wouldn't marry, they tried to force him so….he killed the girl they wanted him to marry, that scared the shit out of them so they tried letting him pick, one girl was trying really hard, putting down her little sisters, who showed how shocked they were at how she was treating them, he stood up from his seat walked to her, and slit her throat, when he ordered for the rest of the women to leave at once and they did as he said, they stopped pushing it…..that girl was only 14 years old…. Seeing that's what they wanted from their future king…I backed out, it was that way of raining that our youngest sister was born, the king using fear to force our mother to sleep with him, so I left, and he let me, but warned me that I better have big news, be dying, or have had a child, or children for him to welcome me with open arms" Nellson explained, I sighed, "....You have to do what you have to do, you might not have known, but…..that was on purpose….what that girl did, for him to kill her" Lilith explained, Nellson froze, "what?...." he said, almost a whisper, he walked up to her, a few inches away looking into her eyes "what do you mean?" he asked, "The things I went through as a princess, I was lucky, that's why I didn't make a big fuss like you guys thought I should, Nelly if she hadn't done that her sisters, whether Niles, agreed or not, whether those girls parents agreed or not, her two younger sisters would have been given to him as his concubines, when a girl does that we call it Scorning…" She explained, "They weren't shocked at how she was acting.....they were shocked to realize, they were forced to come along in case she failed to woo Niles, if she did they were going to be forced to stripe in front of all of those people, to prove they were pure, before lead to stand by his, if Niles didn't touch the girls, they would be forced to be the knights toys" she explained, Nellson looked sick, "Dear lord!" he prayed.
"It also saves them from being forced to marry an old man, it's like a warning to them, so those girls will actually get to live their lives, and all of that might have been a part of the plan if their mother didn't stop her eldest, or scold her" Lilith said, Nelly nodded, "Lilith!" Lora called, she fixed her under fit, "Huh? You cut your hair?" Nelly asked, Lilith froze, she grabbed the end of her hair, and looked shocked, she thought when could that have happened, could it be that one of those bandits was able to touch her with their blades, could it have been from snagging her hair on a branch as she chased after Lora…she ignored it for now, but would make sure to keep an eye out, Nelly handed her a cloak, "Take care, I'll see you around old friend" he said with a wink, as she walked towards the door, she looked back at him and smiled, "It's was nice seeing you Nelson, take care" she walked out of the clinic, following to where she heard the sounds of swords clashing, and grunts she headed down the hall.
It led her outside, she saw Lora standing by watching, walking closer she saw James and a few other boys fighting, on the other side were some bandits, the ones she fought and others, "ha oh, ha" she watched the way James fought, and shook her head, "what's the matter Lilith?" Lora asked, "James has made five mistakes that could cost him his life against an enemy" Lilith said in a low voice, Lora's eyes widened, "I mean I know I didn't say anything when you fought against those men in the woods, but I thought those were just basic self-defense skills" Lora said, before Lilith could reply, "No they were nothing!" James said, walking towards them, sweat dripping down his chest, and hair, he stood in front of them, but his eyes on Lilith, "They were trained skills, ones…. That women shouldn't know, even if they were taught, as women have fragile states, they shouldn't be able to defeat…. A group of men as you did Lilith" James said, staring dead in her eyes.
He snapped his fingers, and a sword was tossed towards him, he then tossed it to Lilith, she stared back at him with the same intensity as he was giving her, Lora stood there shocked "James what are you doing?! She's just woken up, leave her be!" Lora yelled, "Lora… sit down" her father said, she looked at him shocked, her jaw dropped, he stared at her sternly, closing her mouth she slowly sat down, turning back to Lilith, "Sis you don't have to do this, all you have to do is say no…. Wha?! Lilith?....Lilith!" Lora shouted as Lilith stepped onto the field, she handed her cloak to Lora, her dress wasn't a dress, it was a long skirt, and cropped shirt, her belt hid where they separated, giving the illusion of a dress, she removed the top, her breast held up, and covered by bandages, Lora's eyes looked like they pop as Lilith removed her skirt, revealing pants underneath.
"Darling, do go easy!" James' mother shouted, "She is just a feeble girl after all!" a knight laughed, bringing laughter from others, "And….. fight!" their father yelled, in a flash James was knocked on his knee, everyone silenced at once, as Lilith was now behind him, her sword at his neck "wha?.... When did she?" their mother said, their father smirked as he stared at her, her voice deep, carrying, scared a few not going to fib, "Rule one! Never underestimate your opponent, old, young, rich, poor, male. Or. female!" Lilith shouted.
