Chapter 2 - A mother's love

As his mother leaves the room Raven is left alone once again. Just as he tries to go back to sleep a voice pops up in his head. "Synchronization complete. " Raven jumps off of his bed as he hears those words "who....who said that? He asked anxiously as his eyes darted around the room, searching for the source of the voice. But he was alone, with no one in sight. The voice seemed to be coming from within his own mind.

"Who...who are you?" Raven asked aloud again with his voice shaking slightly.

"Greetings, host," the voice responded. "I am Omega, the nanite system infused into your body. I have completed synchronization with your biological systems."

Raven's mind reeled as he tried to process what was happening. "Nanite system? What do you mean?"

"Omega is an advanced nanotechnology designed to enhance and repair your body," the voice explained. "I was administered to you and instructed to prevent your death at all costs."

Raven's thoughts flashed back to the mysterious boy and the silver liquid. "The boy...he gave me this?"

"Affirmative," Omega replied. "The nanites were contained within the liquid. I have been working to repair and enhance your body since administration."

Raven's eyes widened as he realized the implications. "What can you do? What kind of enhancements?"

"I can enhance your physical abilities, accelerate healing, and provide strategic analysis," Omega explained. "I can also interface with your thoughts and emotions, allowing for seamless communication."

Raven's mind was racing with questions and possibilities. He had so many things he wanted to ask Omega, but one question stood out above the rest.

"What does this mean for me?" Raven asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

"Your existence has changed, host," Omega replied. "You are no longer just a young man from a noble family. You are now a vessel for advanced technology, with capabilities beyond those of ordinary humans within your timeline. The possibilities are endless, but so are the risks."

Raven's eyes opened in curiosity after hearing those words. "Wait. You said you could heal me faster than a regular human. But why do I still feel pain? He asked

Omega without waisting time responded "Well, due to your dantain being in a poor stats I had to start treating it."

Raven's eyes widened in shock. "Damaged? What do you mean my dantian was damaged? I always thought I was unable to use Aethon(this words word for aura) since I was born."

Omega's voice remained calm and detached. "According to my analysis, your dantian shows signs of damage, likely occurring at a very young age. Specifically, my scans indicate that the damage occurred when you were approximately one year old."

Raven's mind reeled as he tried to process this information. He had always assumed that he was simply born without the ability to use Aethon, but now it seemed that there was more to it.

"How did it get damaged?" Raven asked, his voice filled with a mix of curiosity and concern.

"I'm unable to determine the exact cause without further information," Omega replied. "However, the damage has resulted to you finding it difficult to harness and control your energy."

"What does this mean for my potential?" Raven asked, his eyes locked onto Omega's nonexistent face. "Can I still learn to use Aethon?"

"The nanite treatment I administered has begun to repair and restore your dantian," Omega explained. "The damage is still significant, but your energy pathways are now open, allowing you to access and manipulate Aethon."

Raven's mind was racing with possibilities. He had always felt like he was missing out on something, and now he had the chance to unlock his true potential.

"How do I start?" Raven asked, his eagerness evident in his voice. "What do I need to do to learn how to use Aethon?"

"Begin by focusing on your breathing and clearing your mind," Omega instructed. "I'll guide you through the process of sensing and controlling your Aethon. Let's start with a simple exercise to help you connect with your energy."

Raven nodded, his determination evident. He was ready to embark on this new journey and unlock the secrets of Aethon.

Raven's mother, Elara stormed into the chambers of count Elliot Lionheart's first wife, Lady Victoria, her anger and frustration boiling over. Lady Victoria, known for her cunning and manipulative nature, looked up from her embroidery with a mixture of curiosity and amusement.

"Ah, Elara, what brings you to my chambers in such a state?" Lady Victoria asked, her voice dripping with condescension.

"You know exactly why I'm here," Elara spat, her voice trembling with rage. "I know about the bandits. I know you hired them to kill Raven, didn't you?"

Lady Victoria's expression didn't change, but a faint smile played on her lips. "And what makes you think such a thing, dear Elara?"

Elara's eyes blazed with fury. "Don't play games with me, Victoria. You're behind this, aren't you? You want to eliminate Raven so that your own sons can inherit the title and lands."

Lady Victoria's smile grew wider. "Perhaps I do, Elara. But you'll never be able to prove it. And even if you could, do you think Elliot would care? He barely acknowledges Raven's existence. Why should I be any different?"

Elara's anger turned cold, and she took a step closer to Lady Victoria. "You're playing with fire, Victoria. If I find out you're behind this, there will be consequences. Mark my words." She said as she stormed out of the room

Elara, entered her chambers, her expression grave with concern. She softly aet on her chair and a few moments later she spotted Bella, her most trusted aid, standing by the window, her eyes fixed on the horizon.

"Bella," Elara called out, her voice low and urgent.

Bella turned, her face a mask of professionalism. "My lady, what can I do for you?"

Elara approached her, her voice dropping to a whisper. "I need you to investigate the recent bandit attack on our territory. I want to know how they were able to breach our borders and what measures we can take to prevent it from happening again."

Bella nodded, her eyes narrowing. "I'll get started immediately, my lady. I'll gather a team and review the patrol routes, guard deployments, and any potential vulnerabilities."

Elara's gaze intensified. "No,i prefer you do it alone. Someones after my baby and i don't know who i could trust here besides you."

Bella's expression turned determined. "I'll find out, my lady. I'll leave no stone unturned."

With a nod, Elara dismissed Bella, who swiftly departed to begin her investigation. Elara's thoughts, however, lingered on her son.
