Chapter 134 - Chapter 134: Scumbag Reid Returns Victorious

After forcibly suppressing his dizziness, Reid checked the countdown for the Colony Laser's firing sequence—only ninety seconds remained. The surrounding crystal pillars began emitting intense light as energy rapidly concentrated.

Acting quickly, Reid maneuvered the Mystic Lightning into flight and called out to Ange:

"Ange, let's move."

Noticing the Zeta Gundam still floating nearby, he added:

"Take the Zeta Gundam with us!"

Ange naturally didn't object, grabbing the Zeta Gundam and flying outward.

Since the Immortal Aegis was holding onto the Zeta Gundam, it couldn't transform into MA Mode. Combined with the Gundam's weight, their speed fell behind the Mystic Lightning. However, once Reid caught up, he immediately seized the other side of the Zeta Gundam. Working together, they managed to haul it out of the Colony Satellite within the remaining time and put some distance between themselves and the weapon.

Moments later, the Colony Laser fired behind them.

A colossal beam of light shot into the void of space, instantly vaporizing the approaching Titans reinforcements into oblivion.

Just as the Colony Laser's discharge ended, an orange beam over ten meters thick pierced through its rear section. Before a second could pass, a second beam struck, followed by a third.

Noin, having studied the Colony Laser's schematics, had aimed directly at its Nuclear Pulse Engine. The overloaded energy within, ruptured by the Buster Beam Rifle, triggered a massive explosion. The rear of the Colony Laser flashed with a nuclear-like brilliance before violently rupturing, collapsing into fragments.

Fortunately, the explosion didn't escalate further—no apocalyptic fireball consumed the surrounding area. Still, the blast forced both Neo Zeon and Titans forces to halt their battle, their Mobile Suits scrambling to evade the debris hurtling in all directions.

Thankfully, the shrapnel only disabled a handful of MS units, leaving both factions with minimal casualties.

Watching the Colony Laser's destruction, Reid activated an open comms channel and declared:

"Paptimus Scirocco is dead! The Titans' reinforcements have been annihilated by the Colony Laser. The war is over! Soldiers of the Titans, lay down your weapons! Surrender and you will be spared!"

Strictly speaking, Reid had no authority to decide the fate of Titans prisoners. But after leading Neo Zeon through relentless battles to victory, his prestige among the ranks was unmatched.

The moment he spoke, Neo Zeon soldiers immediately echoed his words across all channels:

"Surrender and live! Surrender and live! Surrender and live!" ×N

The chant spread like wildfire across the battlefield. The remaining Titans MS pilots, listening through emergency frequencies, were stunned.

Several squad leaders quickly verified—Paptimus Scirocco's comms signal had indeed vanished.

Their Mothership had already been sunk.

And the Colony Laser had just fired right before their eyes, meaning their backup fleet was likely gone too.

At this point, the MS Squad leaders realized the truth: the Titans had lost. And soon, the Titans would cease to exist.

Soon after, when the first squad leader ordered his team members to discard their weapons, it triggered a domino effect as other Titans Mobile Suit pilots began surrendering by throwing down their arms.

At this moment, Haman arrived, ignoring the Zeta Gundam being dragged by Reid and paying no heed to his unilateral promise not to kill surrendering Titans soldiers. Instead, she excitedly said:

"Reid, I knew you could do it. Paptimus Scirocco is completely dead in the Colony Laser, right? And it looks like you've captured the Zeta Gundam too."

Reid was indeed in good spirits now that the great battle had finally ended, so he responded with a smile:

"Yes, Paptimus Scirocco probably doesn't even have ashes left now. But Haman, your work isn't over yet.

Sorry for making the call about sparing the surrendering troops without consulting you, so you'll need to handle the prisoners and clean up the battlefield.

By the way, I still need to check on the Argama and Radish. The Aries should have dealt with them by now. You don't mind if I take the Zeta Gundam, do you?"

Haman naturally didn't mind Reid's unilateral decision to allow the Titans to surrender. After all, the battle had been won under his leadership, and sparing these insignificant Titans remnants wasn't a big deal.

As for the Argama and Radish, Haman cared even less. With the Titans defeated in Earth's sphere, Neo Zeon would reign supreme, and if AEUG didn't behave, they would perish.

So Haman replied directly:

"No problem, leave this to me. Hurry up and deal with the Argama and Radish situation. Tonight I'm holding a victory banquet in Gwadan's palace - you must attend. We need to properly discuss our future."

After speaking, Haman glanced at the Immortal Aegis beside the Mystic Lightning and added:

"Oh, family members are allowed. Sister Ange can come too. I don't mind discussing how we'll all get along from now on."

Haman's meaning was clear - after this victory banquet, she intended to lay her cards on the table. Reid had to be her closest person, even if it meant temporarily sharing him with others.

But sensing Haman's "devouring" emotional fluctuations again, Reid immediately decided he'd let whoever wanted to attend that banquet go - he'd return immediately after dealing with the Argama and Radish situation.

So Reid brushed Haman off:

"Understood. I'll go handle the Argama and Radish first. You take care of things here, Haman."

With that, he took Ange with him, the two Mobile Suits towing the Zeta Gundam as they flew toward where the Argama and Radish had fled.

Haman still hadn't detected Reid's thoughts, though she suddenly felt an inexplicable emptiness in her heart. She attributed it to the void left by the disappearance of tremendous pressure - from today onward, it would be nothing but good days for Neo Zeon.

Meanwhile, as Reid and Ange flew toward the Argama and Radish, Ange couldn't help getting jealous again, saying in a dangerous tone:

"Reid, this Haman wants to discuss the future with you. Seems like tonight isn't a good time for you to bring me along."

Reid broke out in a cold sweat. When someone of Ange's temperament stopped being direct and started with sarcastic remarks, it meant she was on the verge of explosive anger. So Reid quickly voiced his thoughts:

"Don't, Ange. I'm not planning to attend any victory banquet. We'll return once we're done with the Argama and Radish. As for Haman, I never intended to provoke her. The reason she's acting this way is just because your husband is too charming."

Reid's words instantly dissipated Ange's anger. After all, once they returned, could Haman really cross worlds to chase after them? This proved that Reid at least had no intention of making Haman his third wife. So she teased:

"Conceited much. Talk to me about being charming when you can keep me in bed for a whole day."

Reid was left speechless. Keeping Ange in bed? That would probably require three days and nights without breaks. He'd need kidneys made of AC Universe Gundarium Alloy for that.

So Reid decisively shut his mouth and dropped the subject.

But even though Reid stopped talking, Ange still had thoughts brewing.

This incident had served as a warning to her. Reid's physical condition had improved dramatically recently, almost catching up to hers. Just relying on herself and Noin during their limited time together was no longer enough to exhaust him—after all, they couldn't seriously neglect their duties just to wear Reid out, and sometimes Reid went out without either of them.

It was time to recruit some reinforcements. Should they approach Une, or have Reid take in the Xia sisters? Ange felt she needed to discuss this privately with Noin.

Unbeknownst to Reid, Ange was planning to proactively expand their circle to find someone who could help exhaust him, all to maintain her position as the head of his harem.

Because Reid wasn't even trying to guess what Ange was thinking. Through the Mystic Lightning's cameras, he could already see the immobilized Argama and Radish.

Two Amazing Kampfers were aiming their guns at the bridges of the two ships. Both the Argama and Radish had all their weapon ports disabled, rendered as harmless as tigers with their teeth and claws removed.

However, as Reid flew closer, he sensed a Mobile Suit hiding behind an asteroid along his flight path—no, it was watching the Zeta Gundam being towed by the Mystic Lightning. He recognized this psychic signature—it should be Fa Yuiry. So he said to Ange:

"Ange, there's someone behind the asteroid to our left front. Go bring her out. Just disarm her, no need to hurt anyone. The war is already over."

Hearing this was serious business, Ange prepared to move.

But before the Immortal Aegis could act, Fa emerged from behind the asteroid on her own. She was piloting a Methuss, though missing its left arm—apparently, it hadn't been repaired after Reid disabled it, and she'd sortied in it urgently.

The Methuss wasn't holding any weapons and had its hands raised, clearly not looking for a fight.

Seeing this, neither Reid nor Ange raised their weapons.

Reid then connected via Laser Communication and said:

"Don't come any closer. Stay where you are."

Fa Yuiry was very obedient. When Reid told her not to move, she shut off her engines and remained still. Then, with a trembling voice, she asked:

"Mr. Reid... since you have the Zeta Gundam... then... how is Kamille? Is she alright?"

Taking pity on the young girl—she was the same age as Kamille, just eighteen, the normal age for graduating high school and entering university—Reid answered honestly:

"Kamille is still inside the Zeta Gundam. To put it in terms you can understand, she overloaded her abilities during the battle and suffered a mental shock. She's completely unconscious now. She's definitely not dead, but I don't know when she'll wake up or if there will be any aftereffects."

Upon hearing that Kamille was still alive, Fa Yuiry kept repeating emotionally over the comms, "That's great, that's great..."

Reid could even hear the tears in Fa's voice. This was the girl who had stayed by Kamille's side caring for her even after she became mentally impaired in the original story—her love for Kamille was undeniable.

However, Reid still had questions that needed answering. Shifting the topic, he asked seriously,

"But Miss Fa, shouldn't you explain why you're piloting a Mobile Suit in this location? Normally, you should be aboard the Argama, shouldn't you?"

Fa Yuiry didn't hide anything and answered honestly,

"Captain Bright sent me out to retrieve Lieutenant Emma's cockpit.

But after completing the retrieval, I was so worried about Kamille that I didn't return to the ship. I was planning to head to the battlefield to find her. However, shortly after I left, the Aries arrived.

The Argama and the Radish were quickly captured, and I didn't know what to do, so I could only hide here."

After hearing this, Reid felt that Fa's actions perfectly matched his stereotypical impression of the Argama's hastily recruited crew members. Bright Noa really had nerves of steel—any other captain would've had their blood pressure skyrocketing.

With a sigh, Reid said helplessly,

"I see. Well, it doesn't matter now—the war is over anyway. Miss Fa, come with us to the Argama. I'll be deciding the final disposition of the ship. Don't worry, as long as you cooperate, I won't kill anyone."

Fa Yuiry agreed without hesitation and took the lead, flying ahead toward the Argama.

There were no further complications. Reid and Ange escorted the Zeta Gundam and the Methuss to the front of the Argama.

Then, Reid opened a direct communication line with the Argama and addressed Bright:

"Captain Bright, the AEUG has been completely defeated in this battle. Now, at the request of Dr. Tem Ray, I'm offering you a chance to survive.

I don't need your surrender. The entire crew of the Argama will abandon ship and transfer to the Radish. Only personnel are allowed to leave—all Mobile Suits, ammunition, and spare parts must remain behind.

Of course, I'll return the unconscious Kamille from the Zeta Gundam. She needs medical attention and examination.

Once the transfer is complete, I'll allow the Radish to depart. However, whether Neo Zeon will pursue you afterward is beyond my control."

Reid's terms were extremely generous. In the current situation, the Argama and the Radish were like fish on a chopping block—if Reid wanted, both ships could be sunk right then, and everyone aboard would die.

But Reid was giving them all a chance to live, even leaving them a ship to escape in. The terms couldn't be more favorable. As for the Argama being captured—a nearly wrecked ship wasn't worth more than the lives of its crew.

Bright didn't attempt to negotiate, afraid Reid might change his mind, and replied,

"Understood. I'll order the immediate evacuation of all personnel."

Seeing Bright's cooperation, Reid guided the Zeta Gundam into the Argama's hangar. Without disembarking, he watched as the Argama's ground crew pulled Kamille out of the Zeta Gundam's cockpit.

Reid had never considered recruiting Kamille at this moment because the guy was completely knocked out and couldn't respond to the system's recruitment.

Besides, the only way to successfully recruit her would be if she lost her sanity and turned into an idiot. What would he do with an idiot Kamille? Use her as a Newtype lab rat? That went against Reid's moral principles.

Kamille didn't have any deep-seated grudge against him, so he didn't need to torment her like that. Counting this as his victory was enough.

After all personnel from the Argama had transferred to the Radish, Reid kept his promise and let them leave without issue.

Then, Reid decided to conduct an experiment—attempting to have the system take the Argama back to the CE universe as spoils of war.

Of course, the system definitely couldn't recover entire warships. So, to prepare for the experiment's possible failure, Reid first had the system recover all the Mobile Suits inside the Argama that could be taken (which were basically just the Zeta Gundam and the Methuss).

Next, Reid wanted to test the system's second rule for bringing equipment from other worlds: "Upon return, any items that a person or Mobile Suit can carry independently without relying on any external assistance will return with them. Living beings cannot be brought back."

In previous G Invasion battles, Reid had never had a warship. But this time, if he stuffed captured Mobile Suits into a warship, they could clearly be taken back directly.

The real question was—if he had a warship tow another captured, unmanned warship, could that be brought back? That was what Reid wanted to test.

After all, a few ropes or steel cables shouldn't count as "external assistance," since the ropes themselves didn't provide any power.

And the Aries was perfectly capable of towing the Argama. It didn't matter how slow it was—as long as it could move.

So, Reid had the Aries linked to the Argama and successfully dragged it a short distance.

Then, he fired a signal flare toward the Gwadan's position. Inside was a transmitter with a recorded message:

"Haman, it's Reid. Neo Zeon has been revived, and my comrades and I have completed our mission. From now on, you'll have to strive on your own—my presence would only destabilize Neo Zeon from within. I hope you can bring true peace to the Earth Sphere. If fate allows, we'll meet again in a peaceful world."

After firing the flare, Reid immediately chose to return, leaving this universe behind.

About half an hour later, Haman finally received Reid's message.

Furious, she smashed everything in front of her before screaming into the empty void of space:

"REID ISAAC!! YOU COWARD! YOU FLIRTED WITH ME AND THEN RAN AWAY! EVEN IF YOU HIDE IN THE DEEPEST CORNERS OF THE UNIVERSE, I'LL DRAG YOU OUT MYSELF!!!"
