Olivia's eyes fluttered open, and she was met with the stark reality of her surroundings. She found herself in a dingy, abandoned room, the walls cracked and worn, the air thick with dust.
Groggily, she sat up, her head spinning as she tried to piece together what had happened. Her clothes were slightly ripped, but aside from a few bruises, she seemed unharmed.
"Hello? Anyone there?" she called out, her voice shaking slightly. She waited for a response, but the only sound was the echo of her voice off the walls. She called out again and again, but there was only silence.
As the reality of her situation sank in, Olivia's fear gave way to determination. She stood up, smoothing out her ripped clothes, and made her way to the door.
She tried the handle, and to her relief, it opened easily. She stepped out into the bright sunlight, blinking away the dimness of the abandoned room. Unexpectedly, she saw her car outside at a distance.
As she made her way back to her car, Olivia's mind began to clear. She remembered her decision to go to the police station. But what had happened between then and now? She couldn't shake the feeling that something was off.
With a sense of urgency, Olivia drove home, as she entered the mansion, she was met with a shock. Lucas stood in the foyer, his eyes blazing with anger. Without warning, he reached out and slapped her across the face, the sound echoing through the hallway.
The force of the slap sent Olivia stumbling backward, her hand flying to her cheek. "What was that for?" she demanded, her voice shaking with rage.
"Are you asking me? Explain this to me now!" he shouted at the top of his voice angrily.
Olivia's hands trembled as she took the phone from Lucas, her mind racing with a sense of dread. As she played the video, her eyes widened in horror. The footage showed her being intimate with someone, but the context was twisted and distorted. She felt like she'd been punched in the gut, her breath catching in her throat.
"What... how... did you get this?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper. She was fighting back tears, her eyes welling up with a mix of fear and desperation.
Lucas's expression was cold and unforgiving. "What do you mean by 'where did I get this'? Ask your miserable self, you slut," he thundered, his words cutting deep into Olivia's soul.
Olivia felt like she was crumbling, her world shattering around her. She fell to the floor, her body wracked with sobs. "I didn't do it, I swear," she cried, her voice shaking with conviction.
Lucas's laughter was cruel and mocking. "What can you say to make me believe when there's proof here?" he asked, his eyes flashing with anger.
"You think I would cheat on you?" Olivia asked, her voice cracking with emotion. "I thought you knew me better than that."
Lucas's expression turned ugly. "I know you're a cheating wife, Olivia. I know you're a liar. What am I even saying? You went to meet men for pleasure, you disgusting bitch," he roared, his words dripping with venom.
Olivia's tears flowed freely as she protested her innocence. "I was kidnapped, I didn't do it," she cried, her voice hoarse from sobbing.
Lucas's expression didn't change. "It's obvious you weren't kidnapped. Didn't you watch the video? You were doing it willingly," he sneered.
Olivia's desperation grew. "They placed some cloth on my nose, I was drugged, I don't even remember anything. Please believe me," she begged, her eyes pleading with Lucas.
But Lucas just collected the phone and left the room, leaving Olivia shattered and broken on the floor. As she replayed the video in her mind.
The video had shown her being molested, but she knew that nothing else had happened. Lucas wouldn't believe her.
Olivia's hands shook as she dialed Maddie's number, her mind racing with desperation. When Maddie arrived a few minutes later, Olivia poured out her heart, recounting every detail of the kidnapping, the video, and Lucas's accusations.
Maddie's expression turned stern. "I told you not to go to the police station, Olivia. Why didn't you listen to me?"
Before Olivia could respond, Lucas appeared in the doorway, his eyes narrowing as he overheard their conversation. "What do you mean by police station? So you were planning on reporting me to the police?" he demanded, his voice dripping with menace.
Olivia stammered, trying to deflect the question. "I... um..."
Lucas's gaze turned icy. "Maddie, excuse us now!" he barked, his tone brooking no argument.
Maddie quickly exited the room, sensing the escalating tension.
Lucas turned his attention back to Olivia, his eyes blazing with anger. "Were you planning on reporting me?" he repeated, his voice rising.
Olivia fell to her knees, tears streaming down her face. "You were hurting me, Lucas. I couldn't tolerate you anymore, and I still can't. You keep treating me badly. Even if you don't love me anymore, at least I am your wife. Consider that, please," she begged, her voice cracking with emotion.
Lucas's expression didn't soften. Instead, he sneered, his eyes glinting with cruelty. "I will see how you will go about reporting me again when I post this video for everyone to see," he threatened, his voice cold and detached.
Olivia's eyes widened as realization dawned on her. Lucas was behind the kidnapping, the video, everything that happened.
"You asshole!" she screamed as she got up to slap him but Lucas held her hand.
"You better behave yourself, or else this is going everywhere, and you being my wife will only spoil your reputation, and you might even lose your job, you know. You try to be disrespectful, and this is going out," Lucas whispered in her ear, and he smirked.
"Please, Lucas, if I have ever offended you in any way. Forgive me, please, I beg you to stop treating me this way," Olivia pleaded, but her pleas fell on deaf ears as Lucas walked out of the room.
