Finn squinted up at the sky, shielding his eyes from the light. "What the hell are they talking about—what thi—oh…"
There it was.
Far off in the distance, cutting across the horizon like a silent blade, an object floated through the air. It wasn't shaped like anything he recognized—it was too jagged for a ship, too steady for a rock, and too weird for literally anything normal.
It shimmered faintly in the light, shifting between black and gray, like it couldn't make up its damn mind what color it wanted to be.
'Is that… a flying ship? Or a flying rock? Actually—yeah, probably the rock. Knowing this world, it's a rock. A big, stupid rock defying gravity just to piss me off.'
He sighed internally, dead inside yet somehow still curious. 'This world just keeps throwing crap at me—but I think I'm starting to understand it. Everything here is insane. That's the rule. Insanity is the rule.'
