Outside the Cafe
As they stepped outside, Ainz asked, "Why here, Arsh? You don't need the money. And if it's about work, you could land a job at any top firm—even under a fake identity. I could even help. Is this because of that girl?"
Arsh smirked. "So many questions. Alright, here's the breakdown:
I'm undercover as a middle-class student—so I have to act the part.Big companies draw attention. I want to stay under the radar.Cafes and bars are prime spots for gathering information.
This particular cafe might not be famous now—but that's part of the plan."
"Oh?"
"Big hotels won't hire someone without experience or background. But if I help make this place popular, it becomes an intel hub and part of my network."
"Clever as always, Mr. Genius," Ainz muttered.
At the Mayor's Palace
"Wait, why are we at my house?" Ainz asked, confused.
"I have a meeting with high-ranking officials," Arsh said. "You're here as my assistant. Behave."
Suddenly, OSAI spoke in Arsh's ear. "Demon aura detected. Location: Third Street. Multiple signatures."
"Where's Noar?" Arsh asked.
"Unavailable. Not in the vicinity."
"Tch. Then we'll handle it. OSAI—status?"
"Five Rank-4 demons, eight Rank-6, over ten low-tier."
"Send the Ragnarok Axe. We'll end this fast. Ainz, you handle the grunts. OSAI, armor him up."
"Got it, sir," Ainz and OSAI replied.
Drones swarmed in and latched to Ainz, forming an advanced combat suit.
"What the—this is insane!" Ainz gasped.
"Choose your weapon from the menu," OSAI instructed.
They reached the battleground.
"Looks like you're having a party," Arsh shouted.
A Rank-4 demon snarled, "And you're the main course."
"Sorry, no time for games. Ainz, you ready?"
"Terrified... but ready."
"Good. Prioritize saving hostages. Then clean up. Don't push yourself."
Arsh took position. "OSAI. Axe."
"On its way, sir. It's heavy."
Low-tier demons lunged toward Ainz.
"Let's see what you've got!" Arsh called out.
Ainz dashed forward, blade flashing—one head, then another. A clean spin, and a third demon fell.
Suddenly, a Rank-4 demon charged Ainz. OSAI warned: "One punch will shatter his armor."
Arsh moved like lightning. He caught the punch mid-air and smiled. "In a hurry to die, huh?"
With a counter-blow, he sent the demon flying.
"Sir, Ragnarok Axe inbound."
Four drones delivered the massive axe. Arsh grinned.
"The weapon that killed a Second-Tier Demon... Let's play."
He swung once—just the shockwave vaporized several demons.
Rank-4 elites attacked together. Arsh disappeared and reappeared behind one.
SLASH — headless.
"Three left. Who's next?"
They charged in rage. Arsh dodged effortlessly.
"Too slow."
One clean swing. Three bodies dropped.
Rank-5 and 6 demons panicked, retreating.
"Ainz, jump boost. Now."
Ainz leapt high as Arsh raised the axe. With a wide swing, the air pressure alone sliced through the retreating demons.
"Holy crap! That was amazing!" Ainz shouted. "I actually killed some too!"
"Don't celebrate yet. We've got a meeting."
"Hey, can I officially be your right-hand man now?"
"For this mission, yes. Noar's busy. So you're my assistant for the board meeting."
Arsh turned serious. "OSAI—equip King protocol."
A sleek helmet dropped down. It burned away Arsh's hair dye and removed his eye lenses.
King Arsh had returned.
