As soon as he entered the village, some villagers saw him.
"Wow, who is that person? Looks like a noble or even royalty, don't you think so? How come a outsider appear here?" a young elf boy asked another person beside him.
"Shush! Don't talk too loud. I don't know what a noble is doing here. But if you make him angry by shouting too loud, there is a chance he will behead you. Maybe our poor life would get better if he wants."
Ethan could hear everything. He looked toward the two young men who were talking about him.
"Hey, you, both of you come here," Ethan called them with a commanding tone.
As soon as he did that, both of them became petrified with fear.
"We are finished," it was their only thought, but they still went to him.
"Yes, sir?"
"Why is your village so poor? Can't you do business with other villages or towns?" Ethan directly asked.
The two of them became speechless. What kind of question was this? Why were they so poor?
