"Tsk, to think I was so careless," Lucian said resentfully, clutching her ample chest. She took a pristine white handkerchief from her pocket and delicately wiped away the trace of blood from the corner of her mouth, her movements as graceful as a medieval noblewoman's.
"Hmph! Don't look away during a fight!" Sol said, crossing her arms over her flat chest and staring straight at Lucian. Her azure twin-tails still floated under the influence of a subtle electromagnetic force instead of hanging down naturally.
"You insolent whelp," Lucian spat with hatred. If it hadn't been for this brat's interference, she would have already summoned the Night Capital and ushered in a glorious new era for vampires in this world!
"Miss Sol, Miss Lucian~ I'm very sorry to interrupt, but your battle will have terrifying consequences. I propose we find a more peaceful way to resolve this," Mei said, stepping forward to intercede with Sol and Lucian.
"I don't think either of you wants to see a ruined world, do you?" Li Xuan added coolly, his face still a bit pale.
"Uh, fine! It doesn't matter what method we use; I'll never lose to a low-class demon! You'd better just bow down before me~ Haha~" Sol said, nodding nonchalantly. She placed her hands on her hips and threw her head back, laughing heartily like a middle-aged uncle. As a member of the Aesir, how could she possibly fear a challenge?!
"I also accept this proposal. Before the Night Clan, all other gods are but grass!" Lucian said with a slight nod, her tone haughty, indicating that she would absolutely not back down.
"I have a feeling this is going to be trouble again," Kiana whispered into Li Xuan's ear as she supported him. The sweet scent of a young woman made Li Xuan's ears turn a little red. Fortunately, after so many years of being single, no one noticed.
"Then let's settle this!" Sol shouted, casually tossing her giant hammer to the ground. Then... another earth-shattering tremor.
"Hah!" Sol and Lucian faced each other, their eyes locked in a death stare. Both were now drenched in sweat, their faces flushed, and they were panting heavily.
"...I can't... I can't hold on," Lucian said, biting her lip as two rosy blushes appeared on her fair cheeks. "Damn it, I'm going to pin you down!" Lucian shouted unwillingly. How could she bear to be pinned underneath someone?!
"Hmph... just give up nicely," Sol said, her delicate face red as she panted heavily.
"Go down!!" Sol roared, firmly pressing Lucian down. No matter how much Lucian struggled, it was useless.
"..." Li Xuan, who had been watching them silently, was speechless. Are these two gods seriously messed up in the head?! Is it really necessary to be so dramatic over a game of arm wrestling?! And it sounds so dirty, too.
(>﹏<)
"Ugh! You despicable creature, using a dastardly tactic like arm wrestling," Lucian panted heavily on the ground. Her ample chest under her white shirt heaved, drawing the attention of onlookers like Kiana and, well, Li Xuan.
"Hmph~ When it comes to strength, I won't lose to anyone, you know~" Sol said with a proud expression on her flushed face. "See? Having a big chest is just for decoration~" Sol added breezily. But her eyes were fixated on Lucian's chest, filled with unconcealed envy, though Lucian failed to notice.
"...Again! I'll wager the honor of the People of the Night on it. This time, I will defeat you!" Undeterred, Lucian leaped up from the ground with a carp jump. Her bountiful chest jiggled once more, causing the crowd of melon-seed-eating onlookers to draw a collective cold breath. As for Sol, her face was already contorted with envy, looking as if she wanted to dig out Lucian's chest and attach it to her own, filled to the brim with jealousy and hatred.
However, the person in question, Miss Lucian, remained surprisingly oblivious.
And so, the clueless Lucian once again locked arms with the jealousy-fueled Sol... in another "peaceful" arm-wrestling match on a rock. Though, for the rock, it was probably anything but a peaceful contest. After all, who arm-wrestles on a rock? And who arm-wrestles with such force that the rock shatters into dust afterward?!
"Sigh... they're supposed to be great Heroic Spirits, but they act like children. Gods really are an unreliable bunch," Kiana Kaslana lamented from the side.
"..."
How pathetic, to be looked down upon by Kiana of all people, Li Xuan silently thought, watching the two gods whose faces were red from the exertion of arm wrestling.
"Yaaaah!!" Sol was still putting all her effort into pinning down the struggling Lucian.
"Haaaah!" And Lucian was struggling with all her might.
Suddenly, the expressions on both girls' faces changed, and they stopped. "Wha-what's wrong?! Why do I suddenly feel so weak!?" Sol asked, looking drowsy and struggling to stay upright.
"I... I really want... to go back to my coffin and sleep for a while," Lucian said, equally drained. She was now half-kneeling on the ground, lacking even the strength to stand.
"Wh-what's happening?!" Sol exclaimed in panic, watching as her own arms slowly turned transparent. Her body began to fade, starting from her hands.
"Has my clan's curse not yet been lifted..." Lucian said dejectedly, watching her own body slowly disappear.
A golden light suddenly burst from the bodies of the two gods, finally catching the attention of the somewhat dazed group.
"Hey! What's happening to Sol and Lucian now?!" Kiana asked, closing her eyes against the dazzling light. But no one answered her.
"
Clink~ Clang" Amidst the silent light, everyone heard two metallic clinking sounds.
