Chapter 7 - PRICE OF DISRESPECT

After that, everyone around suddenly rushed toward the place, not wanting to waste even a moment. Seeing this, the announcer scoffed,

"What's the hurry? Why are you all running?"

At that moment, Xiao Yi stepped forward and said coldly,

"Let's go. I don't care what you're doing here. I'm just a merchant—here to purchase a few slaves. And don't worry, I'll pay whatever price you name."

The announcer narrowed his eyes, amused.

"Oh? Are you trying to intimidate me?"

Then, with a sharp flick of his wrist, he turned to his guards.

"Guards! Seize this girl!"

A swarm of guards quickly surrounded her. The man laughed wickedly,

"Ha ha ha! So what now, arrogant girl? You're surrounded. If you value your life, kneel and beg. I might spare you."

But Xiao Yi only gave a faint smile and whispered,

"This region… seems to have forgotten its place."

In a blink—she vanished.

Then—chaos erupted.

One by one, the guards fell like autumn leaves in a storm. Blades flashed. Heads rolled. Screams were swallowed by silence.

Within moments, the ground was soaked in red. Every last guard lay dead, their bodies still, their heads severed.

Xiao Yi calmly stepped toward the announcer, her eyes cold and unblinking.

"This is your 'protection'? I came here peacefully. I followed your rules. But none of you could treat me like a simple customer."

She turned slowly toward the crowd, her voice sharp as a blade.

"Very well. If you can't treat me as a person… then I'll become the monster you all fear.

You broke the peace—

So why not shatter it completely?"

Her gaze darkened.

"I'll kill all of you—

Like a true executioner.

Perhaps then, your twisted souls will finally find rest."

The crowd froze in stunned silence.

Then, from the back, one man scoffed and stepped forward.

"You're too full of yourself!"

Without warning, he fired an arrow directly at Xiao Yi.

She barely managed to dodge.

But what truly shocked her wasn't the speed—it was the technique.

Her breath caught. A sudden memory flashed in her mind.

Sofi—smiling in another life—stood beneath a blood-red sky, drawing back her bow.

"Look, Nikolash. This is the 'Instant Shoot' technique."

Xiao Yi's eyes widened.

That technique… she couldn't mistake it.

Her mind raced.

"Could it be…? Nikolash has been reincarnated too?

And he remembers everything?

How is that even possible?"

Then, as if in response, Ket's voice echoed softly in her ears—

"If you ever meet someone you feel you've known before…

Then understand—

They are either the Son of Destiny,

The Son of Chaos,

Or someone on the verge of becoming one.

Their presence will make it obvious."

Her expression turned to ice.

"So… you've come back.

And with that kind of power.

But what's the point?

You should've been erased before you ever awakened."

Without a sound, Xiao Yi appeared beside the boy, her Scythe slicing forward in a clean arc—

But he slipped away with unnatural ease.

A burst of energy exploded outward, hurling her back several meters.

The boy chuckled, voice light and taunting.

"My, my… what's the rush?

Don't worry—

We'll meet again."

Behind him, a portal shimmered into existence—swirling with golden-black light.

And in a flash—he stepped through and vanished.

His voice echoed faintly—

"Don't play with fire… or you'll get burned."
