The world had always known—this could not go on forever. It had no defense college of its own, no bastion capable of repelling an invasion from beyond its borders.

Of course, the World was not entirely unguarded. The Dragon of Dreams—its eternal sentinel—stood vigilant, shielding the planet from threats beyond the veil of reality. But even he, mighty as he was, could not hold back every incursion alone.

History was not kind in this regard. Time and time again, the world had narrowly escaped ruin—its salvation never born from itself, but always borrowed. Each time an Outer God or cosmic invader threatened its fabric, the world had subtly nudged supernatural beings into action, manipulating heroes and myth to repel the threats it could not face directly.

Yet the truth remained bitter and clear: the world was failing to protect itself. And when two entities breached its reality, slipping through cracks not even the Dragon of Dreams could foresee, the world made its first instinctive decision—erase them, as it had done to countless others.

But this time… it was different.

These two beings carried something the world lacked—something it desperately needed. Knowledge. Not mere information, but a complete understanding of systems, structures, and technologies that could enable true self-defense.

Curious, the world did not destroy them. Instead, it invaded their minds and souls, harvesting their memories, abilities, and insights. And the more it learned from them, the more certain it became: this was the key. This was how it could finally defend itself.

And so, the world let them live—for now. But it watched them. Always. Should they ever act against its interests, they would be erased without hesitation.

With the stolen knowledge, the world began its first internal transformation. It ran simulations, models, and theoretical frameworks until, at last, it found the answer—True Magic.

Among the ancient, forgotten mysteries, three stood out—five that the world absorbed and began to integrate into its core:

First The Denial of Nothingness – a principle that allowed the creation of anything from pure will, from pure void.

Second The Kaleidoscope – a multidimensional structure enabling travel between timelines, realities, and parallel selves.

Three Heaven's Feel – a system that granted control over the soul itself, the essence of life, even allowing the soul to manifest and shape it user desired.

Fourth: Manipulation – The power to bend the very laws of the world to the user's will. Reality itself could be rewritten at a whim.

Fifth: The Blue – An enigmatic force whose exact domain remained unknown. Yet its influence echoed through time itself. It manipulated causality, forcing the laws of conservation and consequence to shoulder the burden of a past without a future.

Armed with these five truths, the World took its first true step toward evolution. No longer would it be a passive stage where others played out their stories. It had begun the transformation—into a fortress.

Out of curiosity—it soon led it to use the Second and Fifth Magics: the Kaleidoscope and the enigmatic Blue. Through them, the World peered into parallel timelines and its own future self.

What it saw filled it with profound unease.

Across the multiverse, in future after future, the same tragedy repeated. The Guardian, its most precious sentinel—the one who stood before the Root—was slain. Cut down by the invading forces of the unknown realm known as EXE. And worse still, in every possible future, even its future self chose the same path—one where the Guardian's death was inevitable.

In choosing power, the World had left itself defenseless.

With the Guardian gone, no shield remained between it and the endless greed of other universes. One by one, beings from distant realities tore into the world, plundered its essence, corrupted its soul. The World had sacrificed its Guardian—and gained nothing in return.

And then… it saw him.

Great Red.

The World's most beloved creation—its child, born of pure possibility. A cosmic dragon that embodied chaos, freedom, and dreams. Watching him be slain in those timelines… shattered something deep within the World.

Anger.

Grief.

Resolve.

The World would not let this happen again.

So, it began to learn—from itself.

From the alternate versions that had made different choices. It studied the systems they had implemented, the strategies they employed, and most importantly… the beings they had chosen to defend them.

In one world, the answer was clear.

A system… called the Predator System.

A terrifyingly effective mechanism designed to raise defenders not by birthright, but by potential. Each Predator was crafted to be the apex of the apex, capable of consuming, evolving, and adapting beyond limitations. The World devoured all knowledge of the system—understood its mechanisms, its flaws, its terrifying beauty.

And then it set out to recreate it, in its own image.

Without hesitation, it began choosing candidates across its own reality. Some were as mighty as ultimate-class devils. Others were no stronger than ordinary humans. But the World did not waver.

Because it had seen the truth across the multiverse: these individuals would grow.

They would become monsters.

They would become protectors.

And above all, they possessed the one quality that mattered most—the will to protect the World, no matter the cost.

And so, the World whispered their names into the threads of fate.

It began the long, deliberate process of turning them into Predators.

Not for domination.

Not for vengeance.

Only for protection.

Those who were chosen had no idea what kind of change was coming their way. Unseen and unstoppable, it would alter their lives and fates in ways they could never predict. Whether this transformation would lead to salvation or ruin remained to be seen.

But one thing was certain—each of them would leave a mark on the world that would echo for eons.
