Chapter 65 - Chapter 65: Leaving Earth

Not far away, Jenny Ona also saw Lu Yin. At first, she was stunned, then furious. This bastard had dared to threaten her.

"Well if it isn't Las. What's wrong? Has it only been a moment and you're already missing me?" Lu Yin greeted with a faint smile.

Las's face twitched. "Your injuries have healed?"

"Thank you for your concern, they're pretty much healed. Do you have any guidance for me?" Lu Yin picked up his glass and took another sip before asking.

Las's eyes narrowed, glinting with a cold light. Behind him, Mo Nuo's entire body trembled—with anger.

Lu Yin happened to see Mo Nuo, and his eyes lit up. "Classmate, so you're here too. My apologies for using you as a shield. But speaking of which, your Heavenly Beast Claw is quite powerful. Without you, I really couldn't have done anything to Qing Yu."

Mo Nuo was furious, his fists clenched, and he gritted his teeth. "Lu—Yin."

"Lu Yin, don't be too arrogant!" Not far away, Jenny Ona suddenly shouted, glaring at him.

Lu Yin looked at Jenny Ona in surprise. "Arrogant? Not at all. Oh right, I've always had a question. I heard you and Huo Xiaoling are rivals, so how come she's in the Melder realm while you're still in the Seeker realm?"

Jenny Ona gritted her teeth in anger. "Bastard!"

At this moment, the dozen or so students were already stunned senseless. They had thought he was a minor character, but they never expected to have provoked a monster. Lu Yin—they had heard this name. He was the nightmare of most students in this trial, the one who had nearly killed the fugitive Qing Yu. People they couldn't hope to reach, like Las, were this person's spoils of war. More importantly, it was rumored that he was a descendant of the Zishan Clan. How could they have run into such a monster?

Just then, a soldier entered the bar, walked up to Lu Yin, and whispered something to him.

Lu Yin put down his glass, gave Jenny Ona and the others a faint smile, then stood up and left the bar.

Las and the others stared angrily at Lu Yin's departing back. They desperately wanted to teach him a lesson, but they didn't dare. Once they made a move, they would surely be the ones suppressed. Lu Yin's status was too terrifying.

Xu San had been brought over. The soldier had come to tell Lu Yin this news.

Lu Yin still valued his little brother quite a bit. Cultivators with talents were very rare. Among all the students who entered the Earth trial, only Huo Xiaoling was confirmed to have a talent. Among the Earthlings, only Bai Xue was confirmed to have the Ice-type talent. This showed just how rare they were. Even Qing Yu hadn't displayed any talent; Lu Yin didn't know if he had one, but in the universe, having a talent was the absolute hallmark of a prodigy.

Xu San's talent was what Lu Yin valued; it would definitely be very useful in the future.

Just as he walked out of the bar, a squad of soldiers passed in front of him. Lu Yin looked at one of them, his eyes flickering, then slowly walked forward. In the instant he passed the squad, a sentence entered his ear, "The family wants you to find a way to join the soon-to-be-re-established Great Yu Empire Youth Council."

Only Lu Yin heard these words; no one else did.

Soon, the squad of soldiers passed a corner and left. Lu Yin looked up, his eyes shining. The Great Yu Empire Youth Council? This was truly not simple, but not impossible. The status of the Zishan Clan was just a status, holding no real power, but the Youth Council was the true symbol of power.

The Body Tempering Art could only be used by the young. Once one's body aged past the limit, it couldn't withstand the art. Therefore, the battle power of some talented young cultivators transformed rapidly, with some becoming incredibly terrifying. And the Youth Council was the organization in charge of judging, educating, and testing the younger generation.

Whether in the Great Yu Empire or elsewhere, the Youth Council was a privileged organization.

The Great Yu Empire's Zishan Clan had status within the empire, but outside the Great Yu Empire, it was useless. However, being a member of the Youth Council was a form of status both within and outside the universe.

The Great Yu Empire couldn't interfere with the selection of members for the Youth Council. If he wanted to join, his Zishan Clan status could only play a supporting role; the key was still himself.

Not long after Lu Yin returned to his residence, Xu San was brought over.

"Boss, I've finally found you!" The moment he saw Lu Yin, Xu San cried out tragically. During this time, he had tasted enough hardship.

Ever since Lu Yin left Jinling, he was like rootless duckweed. Because he looked shifty-eyed and suspicious, no one was willing to befriend him, and he didn't even have anyone to talk to. Even Feng Hong and Luo Yun barely spoke to him. If it weren't for his Earth-level strength, he might not have even survived in the base.

Although he had Earth-level strength, his actual combat ability was still very poor. Fortunately, Zhou Shan had treated him well for Lu Yin's sake and hadn't assigned him to dangerous places.

But ever since Zhou Shan left Jinling for the capital, his comfortable days were over. All Earth-level myriarchs had to defend a sector, and he was no exception. He often had to face powerful mutated beasts and had nearly died there.

Especially during the recent beast tide, if it weren't for several Sky-Piercer level experts inexplicably appearing to help Jinling, he would have really died.

He thought he would spend the rest of his life at the Jinling base, but in the blink of an eye, he was brought onto a spaceship. Xu San had been trembling with fear, afraid of being dissected for research by aliens. It wasn't until he saw Lu Yin that he was so moved he almost cried.

He had always been wary of Lu Yin before, but now in this unfamiliar place, Lu Yin was his only family. He decided to stick tightly to this person, to hold on for dear life.

Lu Yin chuckled. "Alright, from now on, you'll continue to follow me. I'll have someone arrange a room for you. Just stay here and rest easy."

Xu San cried out in alarm, "Boss, let me stay with you! I don't want to go anywhere else!"

"No, I don't like living with men. That's settled. Don't worry, you're very safe here. Someone will protect you. My status here is not low," Lu Yin said calmly.

Xu San was utterly flabbergasted. "Boss, this is an alien spaceship, and you... your status is not low?"

Lu Yin didn't bother explaining to him and had the soldier lead him away, arranging for him to stay next to Zhang Dingtian's room.

Including Xu San, a total of four people had come from Earth. If he counted himself, that made five. Five people joining the Great Yu Empire was not a small number. In previous trials, the number of natives from a planet who could advance would usually not exceed three; most were sent to the battlefield.

To the elites of the Great Yu Empire's academies, the so-called geniuses on native planets were truly not worth mentioning. Earth had already done very well. In fact, there was also Liu Shao Ge who had entered the inner universe.

A day later, while Lu Yin was immersed in his star chart, the Willpower trembled slightly, followed by a roar from that giant turtle.

Lu Yin walked to the window. The scene before him rapidly receded. In an instant, his surroundings were pitch black. They—had entered the universe. Outside the window was the beautiful blue of Earth, so dazzling.

Lu Yin's eyes were complex. He had stayed on this planet for nearly two years. In his limited memory, this planet was the place with most of his memories. Now that he was leaving, he didn't know when he would be able to return.

At the same time, Zhang Dingtian, Bai Xue, Xu San, and Shi Wuzhang were all looking at the beautiful blue of Earth. They had left this place, left their homeland, and didn't know if they would ever have the chance to return. Perhaps this departure was a final farewell.

The starry sky was vast and boundless, yet filled with danger, whether from people or the environment. At present, they lacked the ability to protect themselves.

Zhang Dingtian tightened his grip on his long saber and turned around, his gaze resolute.

Bai Xue's eyes were complex, her thoughts unknown.

Xu San muttered to himself, his words unclear, his eyes full of reluctance. In truth, he didn't want to leave, but he was very smart and knew he had no choice, so he wouldn't tell anyone.

Shi Wuzhang was the calmest, simply watching as the blue planet disappeared before his eyes.

An unknown amount of time passed. The Willpower traveled steadily through the starry sky. Lu Yin went to Siken Maldo's command room. He was a general of the empire and also the captain of this ship, the Willpower.

The Willpower's command room was located at the very top of the spaceship. The interior was very plain, without any dazzling buttons, only various light screens displaying all kinds of star charts.

Siken Maldo stood with his hands behind his back, looking out at the traversing cosmos. "Leaving Earth, how do you feel?"

Lu Yin said calmly, "A lingering attachment, a reluctance to part."

Siken Maldo turned to look at Lu Yin. "I've investigated you, but aside from your records on Earth, we couldn't find any other information about you. Can you tell me where you come from?"

Lu Yin said calmly, "I have amnesia."

Siken Maldo's eyebrows twitched.

Lu Yin smiled. "Whether you believe it or not, I really do have amnesia. I only have memories from my time on Earth."

Siken Maldo nodded. "That's not my concern. I called you here just to tell you one thing."

"The Zishan Clan?" Lu Yin asked.
