Hearing the use of Lu Yin's talent, Comilla's eyes flickered, then she smiled. "Very ordinary. Do you need me to recommend you to join the Great Yu Empire's Youth Council? Or, will you accept my conditions, and upon completion, I will directly recommend you to join the Outerverse Youth Council."
"If I accept your conditions, you'll be my recommender?" Lu Yin asked.
Comilla said lazily, "That's right, I'll be your recommender. The prerequisite is that you can do it. Not just joining one of the top ten Starry Sky academies, but you also have to do something that makes me, a person of this Red Lotus Demon Palace, feel proud." After speaking, Comilla smiled at Lu Yin once more, gave him a contact number, and turned to leave.
Lu Yin narrowed his eyes. Red Lotus Demon Palace?
"Oh right, your method of protecting that native planet was correct. In the future, it might even produce new talents like Zhang Dingtian, or people like Liu Shao Ge. Treasure it well," Comilla said before leaving.
Lu Yin was shocked. He understood about Zhang Dingtian, but why did she specifically mention Liu Shao Ge?
Regarding Liu Shao Ge, Lu Yin only regretted not being able to kill him. Could it be that Comilla had discovered something?
Lu Yin immediately left and headed for the observation room.
Not just anyone could set foot in the observation room, but Lu Yin had free passage. His status on the Willpower placed him second only to Lulu Mebis and Comilla; even Siken Maldo's status was inferior to his.
"Investigate all the footage of the battle at Tianzhu," Lu Yin ordered without any courtesy.
The people in the observation room were initially stunned, then obeyed the command.
At the same time, Siken Maldo, Toleona, and Sha Luo Shu all received communications that Lu Yin had appeared in the observation room.
Siken Maldo was surprised but didn't intervene much. He had already given orders that as long as it wasn't excessive, Lu Yin could do whatever he wanted.
Staring intently at the image on the light screen, Lu Yin focused solely on Liu Shao Ge. Gradually, his expression changed from surprise to wariness.
The screen was replaying the scene where his Heavenly Beast Claw had knocked back Liu Shao Ge. This scene should have been very ordinary, but if one looked at the moments before the attack, one would discover Liu Shao Ge's trick. Liu Shao Ge had intentionally let himself be injured. With his strength, it wasn't that he had no power to fight back, but he didn't engage, and instead seemed to deliberately get hurt. Why?
Liu Shao Ge had pledged allegiance to Qing Yu. Qing Yu was injured in the decisive battle; if Liu Shao Ge was completely unscathed, what would Qing Yu think of him? Even if he was cursed as a fool, he had to display his loyalty, even if it meant taking a blow that could have killed him. This was Liu Shao Ge.
Lu Yin's eyes were wary. This man was ruthless to others, and even more ruthless to himself. This was the truly difficult type of person to deal with.
No wonder Comilla praised Liu Shao Ge. This man's mind was meticulous, able to endure what ordinary people could not. He wouldn't act rashly, nor would he resign himself to silence. Every move he made was just right; when it was time to get hurt, he got hurt. This man's intellect far surpassed that of Zhang Dingtian and Bai Xue.
Lu Yin had a feeling that this kind of person would not be weak no matter where he went. In the future, they would surely meet again.
"That's fine. There's still plenty of time," Lu Yin muttered to himself.
The people in the observation room occasionally stole glances at Lu Yin. During the trial, when they saw Lu Yin capture so many students, even daring to grab Las and Jenny Ona, they all thought he was a dead man. They never expected such a rapid change in fortune, for him to become a King of the empire. This experience was too legendary; they had always been very curious about Lu Yin.
"Let me see the surveillance of all locations on the Willpower," Lu Yin said calmly.
A slightly older officer said with difficulty, "The surveillance of various places on the Willpower can only be viewed with the captain's permission."
Lu Yin said again, "Don't make me say it a second time. I am using my status as King Zishan to command you."
The officer hesitated for a moment, then gritted his teeth and said, "Display it."
Instantly, more light screens appeared all around, the scenes constantly changing.
Lu Yin smiled. He had no interest in the surveillance; he just wanted to test whether the so-called title of King Zishan was actually useful. Now it seemed this title was even more useful than he had imagined.
Hmm? Just as Lu Yin was about to leave, Xu San's figure appeared on a light screen. He was being beaten.
Lu Yin's eyes turned cold, and he turned and left.
On the second floor of the living area, several students were grabbing Xu San. "You're just a native! Don't think you can be our equal just by getting on the Willpower. A native is a native, forever trash, understand?" Willow shouted, his eyes flashing with killing intent.
Xu San's face was bruised and swollen, but he said nothing.
Willow snorted. "Let's go."
Xu San coughed, lowering his head, not daring to resist.
From time to time, other students passed by, casting mocking glances without paying any mind.
It was very common for people from normal trial planets who joined the empire to encounter this kind of thing. Willow didn't go too far either. He was wary of Lu Yin's reputation and didn't dare to be excessive, just roughing him up a bit because he found him an eyesore.
Suddenly, a figure blocked the path ahead.
Willow looked up and saw it was Zhang Dingtian.
"Get out of the way!" Willow snapped.
Zhang Dingtian drew his long saber and pointed it directly at Willow. "Apologize."
Willow's expression changed, and then he burst out laughing. "Country bumpkin, do you know where this is? You dare to draw a weapon? Are you looking to die?"
As he spoke, a squad of soldiers appeared and surrounded Zhang Dingtian. "Put down your weapon immediately! Fighting is forbidden on the ship."
Zhang Dingtian said coldly, "They just made a move. Why didn't you stop them?"
"I repeat, put down your weapon immediately!" the soldier shouted.
Xu San hurried to Zhang Dingtian's side. "I'm fine, just let them go."
Zhang Dingtian's eyes narrowed, his grip on the long saber tightening.
More and more students gathered to watch the commotion, a considerable number of them extremely excited. They were all the unlucky ones who had been captured on Earth. Seeing an Earthling in trouble, they were naturally happy.
At this moment, Xia Luo appeared. His body abruptly passed through the crowd and appeared in front of Willow. He lifted his leg and kneed Willow hard in the stomach. Willow cried out in pain, gagged, and crumpled over in agony.
This scene astonished everyone, including Zhang Dingtian.
Xia Luo turned and looked at Zhang Dingtian with a faint smile. "How's that?"
Zhang Dingtian sheathed his saber. "Thanks."
Xia Luo looked at the soldiers. "A move within reasonable limits. You can all leave now."
The soldiers gave Xia Luo a deep look, then shot a warning glance at Zhang Dingtian before leaving.
Willow was coughing incessantly. He looked up and glared angrily at Xia Luo, but facing Xia Luo's icy gaze, he had no choice but to lower his head. "Let's go," he said, and immediately left with his few followers.
Zhang Dingtian looked at Xia Luo once more, said nothing, and also left.
Only after they had left did Lu Yin arrive.
"Boss, he's the one who helped us," Xu San said to Lu Yin.
Lu Yin nodded. "Thank you, Brother Xia."
Xia Luo said gently, "You're welcome. I just found those people to be an eyesore. I have other matters to attend to, so I'll be going."
Lu Yin thanked him again and watched Xia Luo leave.
After Xia Luo left, Lu Yin looked at Xu San. "Why were they causing trouble for you?"
Xu San shook his head. "I don't know either. I just came out to find something to eat, and that group came over. Their reason was that they found me an eyesore."
Lu Yin's eyes flashed. An eyesore? Willow couldn't possibly not know that Xu San was his man, yet he still dared to make a move. What was this about? A mere student like him definitely didn't have the guts to provoke him, a King Zishan. So, did this mean that some struggles within the Great Yu Empire had already begun? They were that eager to deal with him.
Lu Yin was certain that his every move now would be recorded and transmitted back to the Capital Star. Any small matter would be infinitely magnified by others, linked to his character, intellect, morality... all of these would be bargaining chips to attack him in the future.
Willow was the first wave of provocation. There would be a second, a third, until those people felt it was enough and decided to stop.
"I heard something interesting just happened. It's a pity I didn't get to see it," Yin said with a smile, appearing out of nowhere.
Lu Yin sent Xu San back and looked at Yin. "What did you want to see?"
Yin smiled. "To see someone's conflicted expression. To act and be condemned? Or to endure and be provoked again? What a difficult choice."
"Do you think I'm that kind of person?" Lu Yin said calmly.
"I don't know," Yin replied casually.
Lu Yin had no time to chat with him. He had to go back and think about what this status of King Zishan really meant in the Great Yu Empire. He still needed to research it.
"Don't want to talk? I know quite a bit about the Zishan Clan. Perhaps it could be helpful to you," Yin said with a smile, looking at Lu Yin.
Lu Yin turned his head. "What do you know?"
Yin shrugged. "Nothing much. Just some old stories from a few hundred years ago. For example, the old subordinates of the Zishan Clan, the unique cuisine created by the Zishan Clan, the battle techniques of the Zishan Clan, the marriage promise between the Zishan Clan and the Wushan Clan....."
A marriage promise? Lu Yin felt like he had just heard a terrifying term. "What marriage promise? Explain yourself."
