Chapter 25 - Chapter 25 Pantheon Conference

Lord Mobius's hair shimmered with a faint golden light, and he blinked, "Lord Apollo, what do you want to do next?"

Lord Mobius's words were disjointed, but Apollo understood their meaning. He glanced at Lord Ares, and his fingers moved slightly, "This matter has nothing to do with Lord Ares, does it?"

He paused, "And it doesn't have much to do with Hera, Your Highness either." In his hand, he held the Veil of Night, a divine artifact bestowed upon his grandmother by Nyx, Goddess of Fate. His grandmother had given it to Apollo's mother, Leto, and it had finally come into his possession.

"My dear Lord Mobius, I imagine you think the same, don't you?" Apollo raised an eyebrow.

Lord Mobius smiled and said, "Perhaps, but this matter seems like it will be very difficult."

Lord Mobius's words, one after another, left Lord Ares utterly bewildered, unable to understand what they were talking about. One moment they were discussing Apollo's mother, the next it was Artemis's divine duties, and then it shifted to the God Queen.

Golden clouds surged over Olympus, and twelve Corinthian pillars pierced through the clouds, their shafts flowing with liquid silver light forged from starlight.

The deep sound of bells had rumbled three times in the depths of the clouds—this was the summons for the Ten thousand Gods Conference.

Apollo reined in his smile, "It seems our conversation today must end, my dear Lord Mobius. You are truly intelligent; your wisdom and quick thinking are nothing like a Daimon of only a few hundred years."

The master of healing came from an era of information explosion, an era where the information each human needed to process in a single day was equivalent to what previous generations of humans experienced in a year.

Nourished by so much information, Lord Mobius's reaction speed was incomparable to that of Gods of the same age.

The Ten thousand Gods Conference is about to begin! I wonder which God convened it this time?

It must be Your Majesty Zeus; only Your Majesty Zeus on Olympus would convene a Ten thousand Gods Conference without prior notice.

Lord Ares said honestly, "Besides our father, not many Gods dare to exercise this right."

According to the rules of the world, all Source Gods enjoy equal rights, and every Source God has the right to convene the Ten thousand Gods Conference.

However, this is merely a nominal right; most Gods actually do not have the ability to convene the Ten thousand Gods Conference.

Because their power is too weak, convening it would only lead to mockery. Of course, this does not include Lord Mobius; even if Lord Mobius were to convene the Ten thousand Gods Conference every other day, not many people would act against him.

After all, they still want Lord Mobius to heal them later!

The so-called Ten thousand Gods Conference is a fixed gathering held every thousand years, and outside of these fixed gatherings, it is convened to discuss very important matters.

In the Pantheon, Your Majesty Zeus sat in the central position, with Hera, Your Highness, his sister and wife, on his left, and Hestia, the Goddess of Home, on his right.

Because Prometheus, the fire-stealer, had not yet created a new generation of humans, fire had not yet been introduced to humanity. Therefore, Hestia, as the Guardian God of the home, had not yet received the divine duty of the hearth fire.

Lord Mobius entered the Pantheon, followed closely by Lord Ares and Apollo. Your Majesty Zeus narrowed his eyes, staring at Lord Mobius with a half-smile, "My dear Lord Mobius, it seems there was a reason you refused me."

"After all, Apollo of Light and Lord Ares of war are my most cherished sons," Your Majesty Zeus said with a smile, praising Apollo and Lord Ares.

The meaning of this statement was very clear: it was to let Lord Mobius know that although the two he had chosen were powerful, they were merely his most cherished children, and he was far stronger than them!

"My dear Your Majesty Zeus, I have never had the idea of seeking a backer; the power of healing is free. Healing and pain permeate the entire world," Lord Mobius said, extending his hand and scattering points of healing light.

"You silver-tongued Lord Mobius! Return to your seat," Your Majesty Zeus extended his hand, pointing to a position after the twelve main seats. "You always have many reasons to refute my words."

Lord Mobius smiled, saying nothing.

Aphrodite, seated in one of the twelve high positions, gave him a faint smile, understanding everything.

This conference must have been convened for Aphrodite, the Goddess of Love and Beauty, right?

As the Gods took their seats, Aphrodite clenched her fists, a hint of nervousness in her innocent smile.

Mother Earth Gaia hasn't arrived yet, has she forgotten? Or is she not awake yet? Can I really sit in the position of a chief God? Aphrodite's mind was filled with a flurry of thoughts.

A graceful and noble figure, treading on earthy divine power, arrived late, interrupting Aphrodite's negative thoughts.

This gentle, maternally radiant being walked step by step towards the center of the temple, and Your Majesty Zeus subconsciously wanted to yield his seat.

Mother Earth Gaia waved her hand, signaling Your Majesty Zeus to sit back down, and looked at Hera with complex emotions in her eyes.

No, Mother Earth Gaia was looking at the ancient, majestic divine throne behind Hera.

With deep longing and pain in her eyes, she took a deep breath, bypassed Your Majesty Zeus, and came to Aphrodite's side, motioning for Aphrodite to stand up.

Aphrodite extended her hand, taking Mother Earth Gaia's arm, and stood by Mother Earth Gaia's side. From a distance, it looked like a youthful and vibrant maiden leaning on her mother.

Mother Earth Gaia held Aphrodite's delicate hand, walking step by step down the steps to the center of the temple, "O Gods!"

When Mother Earth Gaia uttered the words "O Gods," Aphrodite's heart began to pound. She was about to become a noble chief God!

In this world, there are only twelve!

"This God on my left hand is Aphrodite, the Goddess of Love and Beauty. She has mastered a part of the power of my younger brother, Eros, the primordial God of Love."

"As a reward for mastering this power, the beautiful Aphrodite should become one of the chief Gods of Olympus."

"What do you think? Hmm?"

Although Mother Earth Gaia did not exude any domineering aura, she was full of majesty, making the Gods dare not refute her.

"Of course," someone responded, and in the next second, the Gods all echoed Mother Earth Gaia's words.

Your Majesty Zeus lowered his brow, not wanting to participate in this matter. In his mind, all twelve chief Gods should be under his control, and there should not be a God who is not under his control occupying a chief God position.

Hera, who was holding Your Majesty Zeus's strong and powerful hand, also remained silent. She likewise did not want Aphrodite to appear on Olympus; she worried that her husband would be attracted to the love-filled Aphrodite.

This would be another pain to her divine essence.
