Chapter 42 - Chapter 42: Kind Priesthood

"Mobius! O noble Source God! Please do not make such a foolish mistake. If you are truly the child of prophecy, then please improve yourself properly!" Zeus spread his arms. "I welcome you to take my position as God King."

Mobius was stunned. Clearly, the human Zeus spoke of was him, and the chicken was the war that encompassed all humanity.

"Although a war that covers all humanity does not mean the extinction of humanity. On the contrary, after the war, a new rebirth will come, humanity will become stronger, and extinct humans will be reborn in new bodies." Zeus said with a smile, "Mobius, go realize your plan. Perhaps your subordinate gods are more qualified than you to become a Source God. As a Source God, you think of equality. What a ridiculous idea."

"Your subordinate gods have broken free from their class. Yet you haven't. I don't know what you've experienced. Your so-called mother is merely the womb that birthed you. Forget her! But you must adapt to your current life. You are a Source God, a noble Source God. You don't need to care about the thoughts of ants by the roadside, even if they share the same thoughts as you."

Mobius paused, then said, "Ants? Your Highness Zeus, since you say my mother is an ant, then why did you unite with her?"

Although Mobius felt nothing for his predecessor's mother, even if he became the owner of this body, he should at least uphold her last dignity. "Don't you think saying that violates the laws of procreation? Yes, she may just be a Nymph, but as a mother, she is noble!"

Upon hearing Mobius's words, Zeus opened his mouth but couldn't speak.

"And why did you suddenly call me here? Hera, Your Highness, and Your Highness Zeus, this must be your idea!"

Zeus clapped his hands, and Prometheus came to his side. Then the prophet bowed slightly and said, "Hello, esteemed Lord Mobius, great His Majesty Zeus, and graceful and noble Hera, Your Highness."

"Prometheus?" Mobius said softly, "What does this have to do with him?"

He remembered that this was the pioneer of humanity, who brought fire to humans and opposed Zeus for humanity, yet now he supported Zeus's idea.

Zeus said indifferently, "Prometheus, he made a prophecy that in the distant future, Olympus will face an attack from a giant monster."

"It has a hundred dragon heads, each in a different form, some like lions, some like leopards, some like bulls, some like wild boars, etc., with only one head in human form. Dark serpent tongues extend and retract from each mouth, and a hundred pairs of terrifying eyes constantly spew flames, making one cower in fear. Its roars vary widely, sometimes like human speech, sometimes like a bull's bellow, a lion's roar, or a dog's bark, sounding like thunder, echoing across the four poles. Its stature is higher than mountains, its head touches the stars, one hand is in the far east, and the other can reach the far west. Its body is so massive it can obscure the entire sky," Zeus continued.

"It will have countless heads?" Mobius recalled Typhon, the monster that attacked Olympus. This must be the monster Zeus spoke of in his prophecy.

"We in Olympus must do everything possible to improve ourselves and increase our power. Since there are divine positions, then quickly go and obtain them. Perhaps the opportunity for the next divine position will be born in your hands, instead of hesitating as you are now, merely extinguishing some living beings." Zeus's voice was filled with majesty.

Indeed, what kind of benevolent god would casually allow the sun's fire to fall upon the earth!

However, humans are indeed just creations of the gods, unlike the humans of his previous life!

But what about the world's aversion? The world will despise gods who commit too much slaughter.

Gods are maintainers of world order, not destroyers who disrupt it. Mobius thought of this and continued, "Your Highness Zeus, how is what you call inciting a war among all humanity different from destroying order?"

"Humans will also be destroyed and sacrificed in the so-called war, and then the gods will need to create again."

Zeus said indifferently, "So what?"

"But now the original souls are gone. All the immortal golden humans are sleeping in the Underworld. If this batch of silver humans dies, where will the new souls come from?" Mobius asked with some confusion.

Prometheus said with a smile, "Lord Mobius, please don't worry. I received three endless souls from my father. The first soul created the current silver humans. Now there are two more chances; we can create humans twice more."

"When this generation of humans perishes, we can create two more strong and powerful humans belonging to the gods. They are merely our puppets." Prometheus said softly.

Mobius said softly, "Your Highness Zeus, thank you for your reminder, but for now I just want to proceed with my plan. You must know that in this world, inciting a full-scale war does not necessarily guarantee a divine position."

"Why do you care about those humans? You don't even know what they look like. If you like humans, you can keep a few in your temple to accompany you," Zeus said with some confusion.

Mobius said with a smile, "Yes, I don't care about humans, but the families of humans caught in war care, their friends care, and even the plants they meticulously tended care about them."

"Once a full-scale war is incited, how will the humans who care about them think? The soldiers who survive are always few; most soldiers' bodies lie across the vast war. In war, only war is the winner; those who start the war and those who are invaded are both losers," Mobius said indifferently.

Mobius inwardly mocked himself, perhaps I am one of those 'Holy Mothers' that netizens in my previous life talked about. I want a divine position and could get it through a simple method, but I insist on choosing a time-consuming and complicated one.

In an environment like Olympus, wouldn't it be better to go with the flow? Mobius had asked himself this before, but he couldn't overcome his inner hurdle: having power but not abusing it, having ability but not being reckless.

Obtaining his power would not be built upon the suffering of others. Even if this idea was naive, he would pursue it.

After Mobius came to this realization, another power rose within him—a divine position formed by countless good intentions, but it was merely a phantom. This phantom was not discovered by Zeus or the others, nor was it even felt by Mobius himself.

However, it was certain that when this divine position solidified, the world's order would change. As an existence that changed order, Mobius would receive unparalleled protection from the world, perhaps even the Original God would not be able to casually act against him!

"But if that happens, many, many problems will arise," Prometheus said, shaking his head.

"Lord Mobius, since you care so much, then let us do it for you. I prophesy that the divine position you are about to acquire will be of great use against the monster we in Olympus face." Prometheus said.
